Favorite Opening and Closing Themes?

Most anime have really good opening and closing themes. What are your favorites?

My favorite openings include Cruel Angel Thesis(Evangelion), Kimi no Mamade(Comic Party), and Trust(Vandread).

My favorite closing themes include Heart of Word(Rurouni Kenshin), Katachi no Nai Machi Mezashite(Comic Party), and Himegoto(Vandread).

<B>Edit: Now that I think of it, sometimes the start theme in Fushigi Yuugi makes me feel like dancing. o_O. And the theme from Gasaraki’s pretty good (Message 9, I think).

..I liked the opening to Record of Loddoss War…and Shadow Skill….I would love to have those two on either…vhs..or dvd…as I would MANY others…

I just have to nominate Sobakasu, the first Rurouni Kenshin opening. When I first heard it I kind of jumped. And I cannot forget my teacher’s face when he was forced to listen to it. Or how we sat on a bed and tried to understand all the lyrics… Fun! I tell you, fun!
And when my sister watched the first episode and heard the song "in that moment I really thought you had gone insane."

Oh yeah!

Opening theme: Gravitation, evangelion, Sailor Moon(it’s very cute)
ending theme: cowboy bebop ^_^

Well, this is it:

opening:Gundam-W and Gundam-X also Evangelion(I like their cute voice.;)

Ending theme: Well probably, Rurouni Kenshin.

I like the opening theme to Iria Zieram the animation the best from what I’ve seen

well, for my favorite, i’d have to go with kenshin by default since i can’t really think of any other one that i even remotely like.

and by the way, the original dragonball has by far the worst ending music, that song makes me want to go on a killing spree every time i hear it.

My favorites would probably have to be:

Ending: Cowboy Bebop

opefavourite opening would be Neon Genesis Evangelion’s, for closing theme, i’d choose Flame of Recca’s second one…. 😉

My favorite opening theme would have to be "Hemisphere" from RahXephon, and my favorite ending them would have to be "real Folk Blues" from Cowboy Bebop. I also like the opening theme to Witch Hunter Robin.

Well, my current favourite would have to be the opening theme to Last Exile – Cloud Age Symphony, by Okino & Shuntaro. It’s like a Japanese version of New Order, but with a very Celtic beginning. Awesome stuff.

Hmmm… I guess I like the opening from To Love Ru even if it weren’t for its ecchiness :D. Guess creators had a nice and original idea. If it’s not original you’re welcome to correct me ofcourse.
For the closing theme, I liked the Sailor Moon R, the one with Otome no Policy in the background.

As for ED themes, well, it has to be ‘Mad Surfer’ by Asai Kenichi from Bleach, even though the English lyrics are a bit mad and nonsensical. Still that song reeks of 60s cool! Oh, and I also loved Rewrite by Asian Kung-Fu Generation from Full Metal Alchemist.

Did I mention ‘Shoujo S’ by Scandal? From Bleach again. Esp. since the OP credits show Rukia, Rangiku-san and Orihime shaking their thang.

I don’t believe i actually have a favorite opening, but my favorite ending would have to be the second ending in Turn A Gundam called Moon. The presentation and the art behind it is so beautiful.

I love The Real Folk Blues from Cowboy Bebop. I especially like it more once I finished the series, I felt like it meant more. And although it’s not technically a favorite, anyone who say’s that when Tank! is playing, and they aren’t getting pumped up for the upcoming episode of Bebop is a liar!

Stray by Steve Conte (from Wolf’s Rain) is also great for an intro piece. When I first heard him, I hated him. The more that I listened to his works, the more I liked him!

Yakusoku Wa Iranai from Vision of Escaflowne is another favorite intro number.

Edit: Although cheesy, I absolutely love "I’ll Give You Romance" the English dub ending to the original Dragon Ball! I sing along every time!

My favorite opening is Futatsu No Kodou To Akai Tsumi by ON/OFF from Vampire Knight, and my favorite ending is Strength by abingdon boys school from Soul Eater.
