What’s your favourite materia combination

I would have to say final attack and phoenix cos its just about imposible to die

I have a lot of favorite combinations.

One of them, believe it or not, is to equip one cover, and 15 counterattacks on Cloud. It sounds ridiculous but Cloud will cover for everybody, and then counter attack 15 times(possibly more powerful than omnislash since it’s 9999 per hit). This combination should kill a typical boss in one round. I thought of this myself.^^ What also works is to replace one of the counterattacks with a mastered double cut materia. So you can slash at the enemies four times, and still have 14 counterattacks. I personally really like this combination a lot.

MP Turbo – KotR
KotR – HP Absorb/MP Absorb
Quadra Magic – Ultima
Quadra Magic – Bahamut Zero

Those are my favorites, along with others I can’t think of right now.

Mine Are:
Quadra Magic w/ the Master Magic
And of course as mentiond about the Final Attack with Pheniox, and if your like me and have no time on your hands you have another person with a Final Attack on the Kinghts of The Round Table.

Yeah, the counterattack one. It’s so strong.

My favorite combo is MP turbo–Underwater

YOU CAN TAKE TWICE AS LONG TO FIGHT EMERALD!!!

(forever times 2 is still forever, isn’t it?)

Hp Plus :p
Quadra Magic – Bahamut Zero
4x cut

Some aren’t combo’s but they make a killer team out of your party 😉 at least one character ^_^

Hey where can I
find Final atack?

For Final attack you need to have Omnslash and W-Summon and 65,000 battle arean points.
Then fight more powerful enemies and defeat ’em all.

Combos:
-Quad Magic & Contain/Ultima
-Quad Magic & KotR-Mega All & Anything
-Magic Counter & KotR
-Magic Counter & Enemy Skill (not sure what spell comes out)
-MP Absorb & KotR
-MP Absorb & Enemy Skill

Some others that I cant be bothered typing.

I have a few favourites=

-mega all with master magic.
-final attack with phoenix.
-quadra magic with any desent summon.

But gettin KotR is a pain in the ass.

Not really. All you need is a gold chocobo. Just buy nuts and breed champion chocobos. My gold chocobo was pretty strong. Speed: 144Km/h Stamina:999. I was getting a lot of prizes from winning all of my races. I made good use of the counterattack materias, as you can tell from my previous post. It makes Cloud Invincible.

Well tru, but some people dont know how to breed.

Try this KOTR+HP ABSORB also have Counter-mime on that char….

I used that against ruby and killed my 2 other teammates off and i casted endless streak of KOTR

Emerald was pretty weak. All you need is to have mimic on everybody, and have Cloud use Omnislash. Everybody will then mimic the omnislash(of course, it’s cloud that does all the dirty work). Beating Emerald give you three master materias. With the three master materias, you are invincible. You can take on ruby weapon with Cloud easily. Sephiroth would also seem extremely weak, too weak.

i dont think u can mimic somones limit break… i tired.

Yes you can. Just mimic omnislash and Cloud will step up and perform omnislash multiple times. Quite a show, actually.

Yeah but, the only problem with mimic limit break
that I know is that you need to be hitoed before
you can mimic it.

you cant mime a limit break, unless you are the character who uses that limit break.

On one character (if magic isnt very high, I use Magic up materia)

(KOTR)–(MP absorb) (Master Summon)–(HP Absorb)
(W-Summon)

On each character…

(Mime)–(Counter)

I took out ruby weapon with just this combo (except that i killed off everyone but Cloud before hand) i didnt even have to play really…he just hit me and I would counter with 2 KOTRs and get all my HP and MP back.

Double cut and counter attack put together can deal a good amount of damage, especially depending on the character you use and how powerful their weapon is.

Almost makes the spells useless. Almost.

i have played the game many times and i have never come across kort what is this kort u talk of?

is it ultima?

It’s KOTR, and it stands for Knights of the Round, which is the best Summon Materia you can find.

You need a Gold Chocobo to get it, though.

Yeah, it’s up in the north east section of the map on a small island.

Best =:

Char1: Master Summon+Quadruple Magic attack

Char2: Mime

Char3: Baby KoTR+Double Magic Attack

With this Seph is down in 3-5 minutes. COunting the time koTR takes. =D

i would also say phoenix and final attack!!!!!!

I like to combine 4-cut and counter attack, so, fight any enemies would be very easy;)

that 4 cut counter attack thing reminds me of the strat i used in ff6 when i beat it. i just loaded shadow up with the xfer and genji glove and when his turn came around, he just went nuts, attacking 8 times in one turn for well over 9999 damage. killed kefka pretty easily with that and my other characters casting ultima. 😀

i may have to replay ff7 now just to try that out.

KoR + HP/MP absorb is awsome if you build it up, everytime you cast it you get your HP and all your MP back that you took to cast it, its usefull in alot of cases but the slow summon makes it very tedious

Its a cool combination but i wouldnt use it because i like to show off all of my master materias and other cool combos =)

To use practically i always have Command Counter linked to Mime on all characters

You say everyone will mimic Omnislash but only cloud will mimic it. I know you realise this i am just commenting so other people arnt mistaken

Mmmmm, I like to combine Phoenix and final attack, i think that’s the BEST combination,i think……

Seems to me that eveybody likes Phoenix and final attack. So lets just put some diffirent ones on here.

If you don’t understand what I posted, just try it yourself. I’ll try my best to explain what happens when you mimic omnislash…

Cloud uses omnislash. Have the second person mimic, and the thrid person mimic. What happens when the second person mimics is that he/she will act like he/she is performing his/her limitbreak. Then Cloud will step up and perform omnislash.

Hp Absorb – Master Command
Mp Absorb – Master Summon

everything time you attack with the first one you get life back, and everytime you cast a summin it uses less MP or even give your MP back. The bottem one comes in handy when you need to refil your MP you cast one of the higher summons and you get your MP filled.

I’m actually kind of curious about something…

Cloud can equip 16 counterattacks so he can attack 16 times everytime he’s hit…. so what happen when he’s equipped 8 counter and 8 4xcut? Will he counter attack 32 times? That’s a scary thought… has anybody tried this yet?

I’d say Counter–Slash All Magic Counter–Ultima Cover–Counter.
HP/MP Switch–Double Summon–KotR–MP Absorb–mime–Final Attack–Pheonix and ur allmost unbeatable.
