Hey who do you think was the best character from an RPG and what RPG? I love Cloud from Final Fantasy VII!

Final Fantasy VII-Sephiroth or Cloud
Final Fantasy VIII-Ulti or Squall or Seifer
Final Fantasy IX-Kuja

FFseries=Sephiroth(He’s the coolest one)
Suikoden 2=Flik(Good swordsman with handsome face)
Wild Arms=Jack(Treasure hunter with long hair)
Xenogear=Citan(Full-minded with calm attitude)
Tales of Destiny=Stan(Powerfull…..he’s the main character, anyway)
Legend of Legaia=Vahn(Miracle Combo!)

Final Fantasy Series:- Sephiroth. He just oozes evil.
Suikoden Series:- Both Flik and Viktor were in my parties throughout both games. The two were well balanced and funny to listen to.
Wild Arms:- Jack. This was the character who gained and lost the most during the game, and the one who I felt for most.

Final Fanatsy VI- LOCKE, TERRA and CELES

I think that Crono and Cloud were the best of em all. Strong and cool lookin dudes, they were great main characters.

in lunar 2 how can you think ron far is the best he is the funnyest but hiro is the coolest and in lunar1 dyne is an old fart person
breath of fire 3 three is rei he is the cat like person and he is cool

I liked Nigel from Landstalker.

He was always smiling, even when jumping across lakes of fire. If thats not a positive spirit, then I dont know what is.

I haven’t played it yet. =P I’ve started to, but I ain’t played it yet.

But to add on the list I posted almost a year ago:

FF4: Cecil. This dude is seriously one of the most easy heroes to relate to for me, mainly because it’s the sort of hero I’d wanna be. A steadfast knight battling for good and for the ones I love.

Chrono Trigger: Crono is super strong, silent, but great. Frog talks in thees and thous, and has a cool sword. That’s enough to make him cool as well.

People who truly deserve recogonition in my opinion:

Xenosaga:

Everyone in here deserves mention, they are all given philosophy, pasts, and depth. However…the best is…

Kos-Mos

A highly skilled yet emotionally void character trying to balance out feeling and sense of duty.

Xenogears:

Elly

A truly compassionate and selfless person who is willing to give all for the ones she loves, to total strangers, and humanity as a whole.

Final Fantasy VII:

Since there are only two, I will give the two most noteable characters in it.

Aeris

By far the sweetest, most deciated, and loving character in the game and perhaps the genre.

Sephiroth

A dark, twistly complex, and seemingly plorable and evil character. Part of me feels bad for him, as its my belief he is Jenova’s puppet. No matter how you feel (acting conscious or not), he is by far one of the most disturbing and best villians.

Final Fantas IX:

Again, possibly Square’s best Final Fantasy in terms of character depth. They all have good roles, issues, revelations, and likeablility (excpet maybe for Quina and Armant who are a bit less deep and intriguing.) The best one…

Zidane

A quirky one, and initially I was turned off by that. However, he has an unmatched sense of forgiveness and humanistic behaviors that are generally not seen in male characters while having a bit of a slightly, if not odd sense of style to him.

Final Fantasy X:

Yuna

Another strong willed female who will not give up come hell or high water. An observant, seemingly smart, kind, and very principaled woman.

Shadow Hearts:

Interesting background on most of them with different abilities and well told pasts and interactions of them reliving them. Most interesting one…

Yuri

Transforming into other monsters, sacrificing himself with no after thought, and a painful past with his father and his own inner powers being a curse of him. He definately serves as a conflicted hero well.

Cloud – A guy with a badass look and a screwed up mind, who can relate?

Sora – " I get to wun awond and awond with ah keybwade wee~" …nuff said.

Sephiroth: BOO!

FFIX – Zidane, Garnet, Vivi
FFVI – Terra, Locke, Sabin

Shadow Hearts – Yuri

Well, Ryudy from Grandia II (he was a sarcastic ass. And the hero. That was really cool xD) And Melfus.
…. Locke from FF6. Thieves are cool. O_o
Laguna from 8, because.. he always struck me as sort of camp. o_O
Link from the Zelda series… he’s a nice, screaming, man-child, always leppin’ (hah, that’s not really a realy word…)about so enthusiastically. O_o

FF Tactics – Cid and Cloud.
FFIV – Cecil.
FFVI – Edgar and his ‘Tools’ ability.
FFVII – Vincent Valentine.
FFVIII – The Guardian Force Diablos, Cerberus and Doomtrain.
FFIX – Freya.
FFX – Auron and Kimahri.

Shadow Hearts – Yuri Hyuga.
Koudelka – Koudelka Iasent.
Suikoden – The Hero!
Suikoden II – Flik, Viktor and Khan.
Vandal Hearts – Ash Lambert.
Legend of Dragoon – Dart (because he gets the Divine Dragoon ability.)
Grandia – Feena.
Grandia II – The bird with Ryudo. He’s cool.
Skies of Arcadia – Vyse.
Legaia II Duel Saga – Maya.
Legend of Legaia – Vahn.
Lunar Silver Star Stor Complete – Nall. He’s small, but he gets so blasted big!
Lunar Eternal Blue – Nall again.
Xenogears – Fei.
Persona – The main character and Mary.
Breath of Fire II – Ryu, Katt and Nina.
Breath of Fire III – Rei.
Breath of Fire IV – Scias and Fou Lu.

And that’s about it.

FF7: Vincent (one of THE best chars ever)
FF8: squally! (he’s cuuuyuuute!)
FF9: BEATRIX!!! she is my hero!
FF10: Lulu (she is just awesome…nuff said)

Fou-Lu, he was the real main character of BoF4. Ryu was a side character that you had to play as for most of the game.

Sephiroth was pure insanity.

Diablo from Diablo II. C’mon, he’s Satan, why else.

Mario, he got video games big.

Jin Kazama, best fighter in Tekken 4.
