It helps to have the Revive ability on one of your characters. Make sure you have at least one character who can cast magic and has the Triple, Aura, Curaga and Meltdown spells in his/her inventory. Also, try to set everyone up so that they can revive fallen characters either with magic, abilities or items. If you can get Squall’s Lionheart weapon, it will help out a lot as well.
Start the fight by casting Haste on everyone tp give yourself a speed advantage. The follow that up by summoning Doomtrain or casting Meltdown on Ultima Weapon to cut its defenses. Also, make sure you draw the Eden GF before you forget. You wouldn’t want to miss obtaining the stringest GF in the game!
Cast Triple or use Cerberus so that a magic user can heal everyone at once. Follow this up by casting Aura on everyone if you can. By doing so, you can unload on the Boss with constant Limit Breaks. Keep the pressure up and Ultima Weapon should fall quickly.

I am his cousin and I told him about that cause I have the Player’s Guide…but he is STILL having trouble. I think what he meant to ask is that IF you beat him already, then he wants you to tell him EXACTLY how you beat him…but if you used the Player’s Guide and you did EXACTLY what it told you to do and you beat it…then that’s a different story! See I would help him..but he’s farther than me in the game and I didn’t defeat Bahamut…so please tell him how YOU beat it…not how the Player’s Guide says it! Thank-you!
I just thought I would clear that up since I have the Player’s Guide ๐
Just use meltdown on ultima, cast aura on your party, then use squalls and Zells limit, to finish the beast quickly.
*makes a mental note to not help people again* ๐ฎ
Oh and Rinoa….I’m sorry if you thought I was being mean about it…I should have told you that I had the Player’s Guide
*cries in the corner*
I junctioned 100 Ultima to Elem Def-J, etc. etc…So I absored all elemental attacks….keep lotsa aura stones, you can tool-ref for em; soon as you get into battle, aura stone Squall and Irvine, have Irvine use AP ammo; took me maybe 5 rounds. Oh yeah, and have Irivine or Zell equipped with Revive ability…btw, none of my chars were lvl 99. Squall was about 86, Irvine and Zell were about 20. lmao.
One tip is to take off all plus abilities, rare item abilities, doom, card, etc….that’ll give you room for HP+80%, Str +60%, etc, etc, etc….you don’t get xp from the battle, so there’s not really a reason to have str plus equipped…anyway….
