Japanese games

Does anyone own a Japanese game? I have Dragon Ball Z for super nintendo It’s a really good game.Take a look on which characters you can choose counting the hidden characters.

The only one I own is Capcom vs SNK. Being that the Dreamcast doesn’t need mod chips to play imports, I decided how nice it would be to have it. Besides text, it’s not much different from the original English one. ::Shrugs:: I look forward to getting more Japanese games.

I’ve got a Japanese Samba de Amigo 2000 for Dreamcast. With a game like that it doesn’t really matter if it’s an English version or not, since their is no important dialog or other text to read. Only problem is to find out what the stuff on the main menu does 😀

Ive got a couple of Dance Dance Revolution games, 2nd remix and 4th. Since there arent many good arcade versions of DDR in the UK i have to settle with that. Im pretty addicted to dancing stage euro mix at the moment as well, even if it does have a crap name.LOL:p

i had dragonball z legends, but i had no converter so i returned it.

I just got Dragon Quest6 on super nintendo and about a week or so Dragon Quest5 will come in the mail. Can’t wait!

Sailormoon R, S, and some puzzle games- SNES
FF1 – 4 – SNES
FF8- PSOne, I recieved this as a gift. But managed to get to Disc 2, from what I could understand.
Marvel vs. Capcom- PSOne

I do ok. Cuz I’m trying to learn Japanese and Chinese anyway. 😀

Well Dragon Quest5 came in the mail today and its a great game! When I get Dragon Warrior7 on playstation I’m going to have the whole searies!

Is FF8Japanese any different from the US vesrsion? Like any added cutscenes or anything if yes what are they?

Well, sure. (I’m comparing this to the UK version, which I am assuming is the same) I noticed that in Timber there was this message in the huge TV screen. After Rinoa stormed off.
The message was:

‘Bring me back there I am please don’t you forget about me’

But it was written like this..

BringMeBackThereIAmDontYouForgetAboutMeBringMeBack ThereIAmDontYouForgetAboutMeBringMeBackThereIAmDon tYouForgetAboutMe

About three or four times. What surprised me was that it was written in English :confused:

That was one of the few differences I can remember, I still have my Jap FF8, I’ll try and find some others;)

If you Can read jap Well May I Suggest Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana 2) for the snes… truly Awesome Game Even For the Snes

Seiken Densetsu 2 is not Secret of Mana 2.

Seiken Densetsu 2 is Secret of Mana.

Seiken Densetsu 3 is the game you guys call Secret of Mana 2, for whatever reason.

Seiken Densetsu came out over here as Final Fantasy Adventure, on gameboy.

I have Dodge Danpei coming in the mail next week.

this weekend, I should be getting the original Albert Odyssey on the super fami. I wasn’t interested in this game, but it turns out its an SLG, and not an RPG, and I love those.

what do you mean by SLG? Is the game anygood and what about the graphics?

SLG, like Tactics Ogre. "simulation game".

but I screwed up. Albert Odyssey 2 is an SLG, 1 is an RPG. x_X

edit: oh well, nothing! I wasn’t mistaken after all, it is an SLG.

excellent graphics, the entire world map is one huge tactical battlefield and you have little wars as you travel from city to city.
The game goes from day to night as well, and in the middle of a fight, you can send someone into a city to pick up supplies, while everyone else is still fighting outside. its a great game.

This Albert Odyssey things sound quite intresting?
Might look even further into this.

Why would you want that game in Japanese when there’s an English translation? It’s a fantastic game, too… missing out on the story must suck O_O

i got a LOVE HINA computer game…. but i seriously need to learn japanese handwriting…. cause the love hina computer game isn’t even fun if you cant read it.. lucky i have a japanese sis-in-law to translate everything for me! ^-^
