What’s your favourite team and what levels are your characters at?

My favourite team is:

Zidane + Vivi + Steiner + Dagger

There levels are:

Z: 99
D: 99
V: 82
S: 99

I have beaten everyone except Deathguise, Kuja & Necron (I can’t be bothered to at the moment)

I like using Zidane, Dagger, Vivi, and Steiner. They are my ultimate team.
Zidane’s level is 99. Dagger’s level is 84. Vivi’s level is 95. Steiner’s level is 99. I don’t enjoy using the other characters as I use these 4.

My best team was Zidane, Eiko, Freya and Amarant.

My favorite party was Amarant, Zidane,Eiko,and Vivi it was a good party ’cause i had 2 attackers 1 black mage and 1 healer….or I also use Zidane,Steiner,Dagger,and Eiko….

My team is ALWAYS Zidane, Vivi, Dagger and Eiko. Sometimes, instead Vivi, I use Amarant.

I like summons and magic…

I usually use:

Zidane – whoop-ass Thievery (yes, I have the patience to get it doing quad-9 damage), Ultima Weapon, and he’s 5-10 levels above everyone. Plus it’s not like I have a choice to leave him. I wouldn’t leave him anyway. He just rules.

Dagger – Curaga and Mega Flares. Couldn’t ask for more! She flame-broils everyone with Bahamut. I usually don’t switch her, so she’s usually at least 5 levels above everyone, too.

Rustman – Climhazzard. Shock. Flare Sword. Even though he’s big on MP consumption, his attacks are totally worth it. Plus his HP is higher than Zid’s even if he’s several levels behind.

Vivi – I like using his flare to serve my enemies up medium-rare. How about you?

And I often switch Vivi out for:

Freya – Her Dragon Magic is totally AWESOME! Dragon Crest does quad-9 damage even when she’s mini-ed, plus it only takes 16 MP. Before learning Auto-regen, Reis’ Wind is definitely a butt-saver. Freya, man. She’s da man. Well, kinda. 😀

Z+Dagger+Eiko+Amarant
Zidane the usuall crap like daggers the occasional grandlethal with trance
Dagger she has control over bahamut who I just call the living ion cannon and ark the missles he shoots at first are great
Eiko she gots control over madeen who can woop necrons ass alond with the move holy and her curaga helps alot
Amarant pure strength and that nasty throwing ability helps too

I happen to have two favorite parties.
One is: Vivi, Dagger, Eiko & Freya (I beat the game with this team. Forrget the levels though.)

Vivi: I take him EVERYWHERE (except Olivert) ’cause he’s so kick ass!

Dagger: Bahamut & Odin (SWEET!!! ^^)

Eiko: Madeen & Curaga

Freya: All her skills kick ass! ^^

Or: Zidane, Vivi, Dagger & Freya

Vivi, Dagger & Freya: Above

Zidane: Stealing & Grand Lethal! ^^

This surely is everybody’s favourite question, eh?

Anyways, I thought Zidane, Garnet, Vivi, and Amarant made a good team. Zidane…well, you absolutely have to have him, so I really didn’t have any use for him though. Garnet is a great healer and I use her Summons a lot. Vivi’s magic is great, especially during Trance. And Amarant…well, he’s just strong. I use Eiko, Quina, and Steiner often too.

I like using Zidane, Quina, Vivi and Garnet. Quina has the useful abilities, Garnet has her white magic, Vivi his black magic, and Zidane ’cause his attacks are so powerful.

When I hit the end of the game I always used Zidane+Freya+Dagger+and Rusty.

But during the rest of the game I used Vivi instead of Rusty, I never really liked Rusty but had the used him in the end because of is Climhazzerd.

I never used Amarent, I don’t know why I heard he has some great abilities, so now I’m on my secind time around playing the game so I’m makeing sure to use him this time.

I have 2 teams ( notice that they all have level 99 cept steiner and eiko)
The first is:
Dagger She got the most usefull abilities Summoning and white magic.
Zidane Cause his attacks and steal ability and he’s too strong when in trance.
Friya she has the white wind ability that recovers MP and her jump.
Vivi he’s magic is awfully strong.
The seconed team is:
Dagger – Zidane – Steiner – Vivi.

My team is Eiko, Zidane, Vivi and Steiner

Eiko was the best because of Madeen and Holy
Vivi because of Flare
Steiner because he uses my favourite weapon Ragnarok

Wish I could of switched Steiner with Beatrix.

I find this the MOST affective team throughout the game, You have 2 people with brute force, Blk Magic and Wht Magic and all this work together perfectly.

Yeah, that’s just about the same as my best team. Replace the Excalibur II with the Apocalypse and change the levels to the 80’s and that’s about it.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">Sometimes, I just don’t care for magic at all. I do occasionally use Zidane, Steiner, Freya and Amarant, and I generally use the ‘kill-them-before-they-kill-you’ strategy, and it seems to work. However, Freya gets weaker later on, so I will replace her with Quina. White Wind is about all I need Quina for, and I don’t use it that often after everyone has learnt Auto-Regen and Auto-Haste (priorities for me).

And I’ve never got Excalibur II. I’ve found the sidequest quite pointless, as it takes away all the enjoyment of the game, although I suppose it is a good challenge. But Ragnarok is good enough for me anyway. 😉

I don’t use Eiko or Garnet (I never change her name to Dagger either, it’s just something I do… :p). As I said, with everyone having Auto-Regen, I can just concentrate on attacking rather than healing. Vivi does come in useful sometimes and I may occasionally put him in instead of Quina or Amarant, but not too often.

Having not played the game for ages cus it no longer worked cus the cd’s were nakered, I can’t say what weapons I had but they were not the top weapons available.

None of them above level 60. None of them with best weapons. On my fourth attempt, I beat the shit out of that last boss person. Just goes to show that you don’t need all the best stuff to complete the game as long as you have good tactics to beat his ass and make him eat your sword.

I wish I still had the game though soI could d it again and try and get all the stuff, cause even though I finished it I didn’t think I had completed it properly as I left some stones unturned and all that malarky.

i used Zid, Vivi, Steiner and Dagger. Amarant was in Steiner’s place, but Steiner had more HP and was tougher.

i think my highest level was 70 something. lol, my memory sux, i only completed it last week!

but, i found it really easy, even without high levels. Necron was like a lamb in a kebab shop…slaughtered. i think i died on only one boss…and thats coz i wernt concentrating :eye:

I voted ‘Other’ as my fave battle team was Zidane, Quina, Eiko and Freya. They were pretty strong and Eiko’s magic came in handy when it came the time to heal my people. I can’t remember the levels though and training doesn’t really help that much as monsters gain levels at the same time as you but it does help if you want to learn your abilities faster.

I learnt most of my abilities though and my weapons were quite good so I only trained before a major boss battle cos I’m lazy, lol :B

Hmmm…I can’t really say that I had a favorite team since I use all the charecters..I had all the charecters at lvl 99 and they all had they’re best weapons except for quina and steiner( i really don’t know how to get Excalibur II)…
Well, the first time i finished the game I think none of my charecters got over lvl 60…but the second time All of them were 99…

I use Zidane, Vivi, Ceres, and Armarant. I love armarants chakra tecnique because it saves a bit on ethers. Ceres’s and vivi’s white and black magic even eachother out not to mention the summons.

i don’t care. i made zidane so powerfull that he did all the work. (had to restart and try to level down!)

Well I had just recently started a new game at Thanksgiving, and since I am at school, it’s hard to keep playing at once, but my favorite from my last games are:

Zidane, Vivi, Stiener, and Garnet (sometimes switched out with Freya and Armarant).

These teams are excellent for the reasons of balance between the team and combined are very versatile.

My favorite team is Zidane, Garnet, Amarant, and Steiner. Eiko and Vivi are so weak, I don’t use them often, and as for Quina, he/she can go screw him/her-self for all I care.

I like to take eiko along more than dagger as her eidolons are far more powerful and she looks like my toddler cousin so i just can’t resist!:)

Steiner is my favourite character, I hate him near the start of the game though because of his stupid attitude. His attacks though are just… Mind boggling. heh

Zidane, I hate him, he’s the medium stat guy. I just use him to steal and when he dies… Meh! Who am I kidding? Zidane’s awesome. Well his trance atleast saves the day 9/10 times.

Quina is pretty strong sometimes too. I take him along because of his blue magic, like mighty guard and especially his eating ability, Yes Iv’e mastered it and know exactly when to use it.

I take Garnet,Amarant,Zidane and Steiner….i like my attacking possiblities 😀

I like to use Zidane, Vivi, Eiko, and Steiner… Why that wasn’t an option is beyond me (lol).

You can’t get rid of Zidane (unless…) so I have to have him. Vivi’s my fav. character and the only black mage so I should use him… Eiko’s the better white mage w/Holy and she’s my second fav. so I use her. And Steiner is the best attacker, esspecially w/Vivi…

Plus all 8 of my characters are Lv.99…

On evey FF game i always have a mixed abiltiy team. Where it may be Strength Magic and Heal.

E.g Zidane Vivi Eiko and Dagger

I couldnt find my combo 4 on poll but it was Zidane, Steiner, Eiko, and Vivi. Man I kicked major booty.

Zidane + Vivi + Steiner + Dagger most of the time but i used everyone

I’d take
Z+Eiko+Dagger+Vivi.
All magic users except Zidane.

Mine is
Zidane, Dagger, Vivi, and Eiko
they all had like their best weapons and were like leveled in the 60s or 70s
I like strong magic with a decent physical
not to mention that when you have vivi and zidane tranced you can crush anything

I used Zidane, Dagger, Vivi and Amarant. Nice and balanced, yuh?

My favorite party is everyone because I have them all over 90.

I always use Zidane,Garnet,Steiner, And Eiko. They rule ^_^ I have all of their ultimate weapons,except for Steiners Excalibur 2. And their levels are Zidnae-96.Garnet-99.Steiner70.Eiko-76. And I have all their abilities,but then again I have everyones abilities >>. Anyways this Is what I mainly use them for ^_^

Zidane-For Physical Attacks and Trance.

Garnet-For Summoning and sometimes healing.

Steiner-For Shock.

Eiko-For Healing and sometimes Summoning.

Hmm, my best team’s Zidane+Dagger+Eiko+ Amarant/Vivi (they usually switch) 😉 hehe

Anyway what was Zidane and Garnet’s promise in FF9? I don’t seem to remember anymore 🙁 uh…can anyone tell me? you know so I can add it to my sig 😀 hehe thanks in advance

Zidane, Garnet, Vivi and Rusty. It just makes for a balanced team. Especially with "ultma weapon" and "Excalibur" (cba to get Excalibur II). Garnet with "Ark" if you can stand the sequence and put a "N-Kai Armlet" on everyone "Utlima" is the way to go!
