That’s where you’re wrong. It’s quite easy. See the instructions:
1. Take various screenshots
2. Open Adobe Photoshop
3. Open screenshots
4. Use lasso or other tool to outline the character.
5. Copy and paste it into the image
That’s how I’m assuming they put Aeris in that picture of the Hiwind…text…even easier. You could change the text in paint. All you have to do is select the background color to whatever it is, and the text color white, and a font that looks similar to that.
Like I said, I’ll try it…but it could be either way.

It’s not hard at all! Most of those screenshots are just normal scenes from the game made to look like something their not. And as somebody’s noted, the text was obviously inserted by the person who made this nonsense up, which really isn’t too hard to do.
Oh- and if "Resurrect" can be added onto the Revive materia, then how come there’s no way to get it through GameShark or anything? No, don’t try to respond with some kind of explanation, I don’t wanna hear it because it’s not possible.

And while I’m at it: The "ghost" in the Church is there, but it was a mistake by the programmers. It means nothing.
Finally, how would the game end? I’d love to see some "screenshots" of the alternate ending.

The Aeris in church is a ghost btw, and now the most beautiful thing; Count the character slots, on the first CD you’ll have 9. (Pc makes it possible to see )
on the 2nd and 3rd Cd… .you have 8. One is gone, that means Aeris is gone unless you used a gameshark.
Oh yea, Cloud would have NEVER been so open and saying ‘why did you have to die’ he feels it, but it’s goes against his programming to show much emotion.

Here’s a couple of other things I was thinking about. The whole 800,000 to 1,500,000 AP thing is obviously just to waste your time. As noted on a rumors page I read, most of these rumors require you to do stuff like that in order to waste time, for a laugh at the expense of the person who wrote it. Also, note that the rumor requires you to junction the Revive materia to the Buster Sword, which is Normal Growth, so obviously that portion of it is just to get you to waste more time. Note how he says that how much AP it is is affected by what things you say to Aeris during the game. This is to try to rope in those that don’t know what the real purpose of those decisions (at least most of them) are: to choose who you date at the Gold Saucer. It’s just like Lansing did with his rumor. Finally, since this person has screenshots like those, it would follow that they have the PC version, so why can’t they just produce a savegame? It makes no sense.

Also, did you notice the near bottom of the page, most of the screenshots can’t be enlarged? Probably because there is so much proof that it’s fake…atleast, that’s what I think.

1) What was up with the cursor?! Apparently the page was supposed to make your mouse cursor look like the FF7 comet, but both my firewall and my anti-virus (which is expired, never worked right in the first place, and I swear can think for itself and hates me) just went nuts on it. I ended up with some weird arrow-shaped cursor.
2) That "guide" was impressive. The pictures didn’t look edited (as an owner of the PC version, I can tell they look exactly like the crappy graphics in that version) and he even remembered little details like the fact that there were children inside the church and you’d need some way to get them out if you were going to talk to the ghost.
But I have to point out three flaws:
-He claims it works with any version, be it PS or PC, American or Japanese. You think he really tried it on all four versions?
-He never explains how it changes the ending. Obviously, the ending would have to change.
-The thing about it having to be the buster sword was too much. For whatever reason, false rumors ALWAYS contain bizarre instructions where it won’t work if you don’t use the right character or the right weapon or do a specific sequence of things in a specific order in a certain time limit, even when they have nothing to do with your ultimate goal. Why the buster sword? Why not any other sword? He may as well have thrown in that you have to wear the curse ring while leveling it up and it only works if you already have Vincent and Yuffie.
By the way, Aeris is dead. There is no way (other than Gameshark, and that isn’t really Aeris in terms of the game’s plot) to bring her back. Square has no reason to hide something from its fans like that. They could make a million bucks by selling a strategy guide that teaches you how to resurrect Aeris. They wouldn’t waste a money-making opportunity like that.

Well, after all, most of the pictures are actual scenes from the game, so indeed, they wouldn’t look edited because they aren’t except for the stuff that Cloud "says." They’re just used out of context.

2. Notice on the screenshot where it shows Revive and Resurrect. For the "rr" in Resurrect, part of the r was too long. Both of ’em, I mean. Notce that it showd another "r" on the right side of the screenshot, which is supposed to always there. And look at an "r" in resurrect. Notice a difference? It’s obvious they DID edit a screenshot with the buster sword, and Revive materia "highlited", and that’s right, but they "edited" the screenshot and made the Ressurect part themselves.
3.I tried putting Cait Sith in my party and talking to the kids, they did say "where’s the church lady?" or something, but they never asked to play with the "cat".
All that AND the "resurrect" spell were a fake and a waste of your time. DON’T TRY IT. I repeat: DON’T TRY IT.

Actually, it’s possible for an item to only be usable in certain areas. Or at least it’s possible in other games; I don’t remember about FFVII.
You actually tried it? No offense but are you crazy? :uh?: Aeris is dead. It is a given fact that there is no way to revive her. Anything saying otherwise is a false rumor.
But since you fell for it, let me give you some advice… don’t fall for the "other" FFVII rumor out there. Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Sapphire and Ultimate are the only weapons. No matter what you read on the Internet, no matter what anyone tries to tell you, there really is no Cheese Weapon. :eye: 😀 No perriwinkle chocobo, either. (I did breed a transparent chocobo once, but it turned out to be a bug in the program. After a few seconds it turned into a blue chocobo, I think.)
1) My revive materia was mastered, but it wasn’t gaining experience to get to level 4
2) When I got to Aeris’ bedroom, I couldn’t use tissues.
3) When I got to the church, the kids didn’t wanna play with Cait Sith, so whatever~
4) When I got to City of Ancients, uhm.. nothing happened.

Edit: Wow, the whole thing is so stupid, it’s not even funny. Aeris is nowhere to be found on the Highwind. She shows up in battles and in your menus and that’s it. For all other intents and purposes, the game basically treats it as if she isn’t even there. It’s completely obvious that an editor was used to put her in the game.
Um, obviously the mods of this forum didn’t pay much attention.. o_O; "rumor" threads have been banned since the re-opening of the forums.
And as this ‘rumor’ is quite obviously VERY fake, I’m going to close this.
