– The Dark Aeons ( very dangerous foes )
– A bigger Sphere Grid
– New ability ( for example: Ribbon which can neglect all bad statues )
– New Mini-boss
– Extra Ending about Tidus that has some connection with FFX-2
International if like the Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. japanese gamers always get the good stuff…..
can you only tell by the items
How can you tell wich one you have.
can you only tell by the items
Not only by the items. I have the int. version and here there also dark aeons wich are VERY tough.
In FFX-international you can find:
– Extra Ending about Tidus that has some connection with FFX-2
just to clarify…
FFX international doesnt have the extra ending…..its is a rumour and it isn’t there…..i know coz i spent a month looking for it….and winded up d/l ing it aneways…..
Maestro – you mentioned a bigger sphere grid. Are there new abilities?
Yes, there are new abilities in FFX-Int, for example: Full Break, releasing all four "Break" effects at once just like Auron’s Banishing Blade Overdrive…..also, it has the same succes rate though just like Armor Break, Magic Break, etc while Banishing Blade "always" works, so long as the fiend has at least a 1% weakness to a Break.
Also Quick Pocket, The item-using equivalent of Quick Hit. This is quite usefull when you fight some annoying fiends like Dingos in Monster Arena 😉
Other then the quick pocket they sound sweet, if i was goin to use that type of skill, you could just use haste then an item, and either way, most of the time when you use an item in FFX ,they give you another turn before the boss or monster., man i never new what aurons attack did, i just always though it looked cool, what did you say it did again, to the monster it is used on????

By "Ability Spheres," do you mean spheres that allow you to activate other characters’ abilities, or just the kind of Ability Spheres dropped by monsters? Because, I mean, you know, if it’s just regular Ability Spheres, sure, they’re a little hard to come by early in the game, but it isn’t too hard to get them and once you’re able to buy Ability Distillers, you can just get as many as you want.
Just the regular ones you can get w/Ability Distillers… I think it’d be kinda easy if they were the other spheres…
Each of Auron’s overdrives adds a special effect in addition to damage. (Except for the last one, I don’t think it has a special effect, it just does a lot of damage.)
– Dragon Fang – Strikes all enemies . Get the button combinations correct to add a slight delay effect.
– Shooting Star – Targets a single enemy. Get the button combinations correct to eject them from battle. If the enemy is ejectproof, then it just does damage.
– Banishing Blade – Damage to one enemy, plus get the button combinations correct to add Armor Break, Power Break, Magic Break and Mental Break
– Tornado – Major damage to all enemies. Get the button combinations correct to have Auron throw his canteen into the Tornado like a grenade, for extra damage.
Note: As Maestro said, the special effects will work as long as the enemy is not completely immune to them.
Edited to add:
Just the regular ones you can get w/Ability Distillers… I think it’d be kinda easy if they were the other spheres…
Hmm, sounds kinda lame. Maybe useful very early in the game, but otherwise not particularly helpful.

First I’ll say I have the original PAL version which is sold all over Europe, and that cost me 39.99(my pound sign isn’t working ^^).
I have come face to face with at least 3 Dark Aeons
When I had a go at Expert mode I noticed the Sphere Grid being a lot bigger and had a totally different style
But I still have not discovered about the other things you have mentioned there Maestro. I sure hope I can ^_^
So I haven’t missed anything at all have I?
