Yeah just roaming around looking at stuff and I saw this under X-2 screen shots and I think I want to gag. Maybe yuna dresses like sluty pop star because she IS a sluty pop star…behold

ARE YOU SERIOUS!? O_o I dont recall hearing about anything about pop stars, I heard there is knight, black knight, fencer, theif, gambler, and dancer. And how is it that you fight as a pop star? Do you smash your boobs in their face and poke their eyes out? or do you just sing really loudly until their head explodes (Actualy thats not a bad idea, I think I’d like that one)?

And its not so much as having an open mind, i’m going to buy this game regardless of the poppyness, I’m just going to be pissed if square is bowing down to pop culture. For god sake rikku is running around in a micro mini skirt with the straps of her thong riding up to her belly button! I just hope that FFX-2 isnt going to be an interactive hard on for our boy gamers. :eye:

I totally agree with Cygnus. What the hell is Square doing? Obviously, they’re smoking some really hard drugs. FF series is seriously going downhill. Personally, I’m disgusted. Square has to stoop so low as tiny outfits and pop culture to keep gamers and get new ones? Pathetic. I hope they learn a lesson from this.

Yeah, Yuna does look different but I have to admit she looks much more better than she does in FF10 and she looks even more better than Rikku from FFX-2 because Rikku looks like Christina Aguilera (sp) and it’s not a good look. Paine looks fine though :X

Well they had to get new clothes because shes a celebrity and she needed to be in disguise or something. But I like the new clothes *drools*

that dosnt make sense though, I mean, if your going to disguise someone why remove their clothes? Soon she’ll become even more famous and they’ll have to disguise her in mere strip of duktape.

Thank goodness that most criticism is directed towards character outfits. Even now I’m beginning to see a trend in RPGs, especially with FFs–the more recent the game, the less clothing for the females!

The only other thing I’ve bothered to form an opinion on regarding FFX-2 is Yuna’s character…in question. How will Squaresoft transform someone so pure, innocent and endearing into something that seems so much the opposite? In terms of her character, that factor alone will either make or break the character Yuna for me.

Well I never said the game is crap, I said I would buy it regardless (its a FF I can’t turn it down). So I’m not passing judgement I’m critizising the way they scantily dress their characters.@_@ why is everyone getting so damn deffencive? Although I do think Pine’s out fit kicks total ass.

Honestly though, I think you should all wait until you find out more information before you criticize Square… I mean we have no idea about what Pop Star is or if it’s going to be in the game at all (it’s not an actual confirmed class). For all we know, Pop Star may be the best job out there… We don’t know anything about it and still you criticize, just give it a chance…

I think that pic as nothing to do with the job classes as of right now. Basically, it’s a pic from a FMV that has Yuna singing at a live concert. We don’t know the whole story around it… I don’t see anything wrong with singing… Garnet sings…

Oh yeah, we don’t know what type of song she is singing… She could be singing a peaceful song like "Melodies of Life" and "Eyes on Me". She may not be singing a pop song…

Blah! Thats not my point! *slams face into wall* I’m saying the fact that she is singing! She used to be a peaceful, shy, caring character and now she’s a bouncy whoring teenie bopper. I’m just a skeptic but I have some decent points.

ya i saw the new trailer at ffx2.com

man its so awesome, we got yuna pop star singing as rikku and paine tear up and then we got sweet ass graphics, with a cool battle system. I mean it showed all 3 of the charcters attacking at the same time, not your typical FF. Then we have Yuna and Tidus making while running down a corridor in a FMV. All the while wearing clothes that make little boys drool.

This will be a sweet ass game.

I’m not really planning to pass judgment on this game until it comes out. In fact, I’m really trying to avoid most of the pictures and media and stuff just because I’d really rather wait to see it when it comes out.

When FFX came out in Japan I accidentally downloaded the ending video, so it really sucked when I beat the game and saw it. I agree, I shouldnt be watching the media but I cant help myself. Its the closest ill get to playing it til it comes out.

and her image was never changed. in FF10 she was a follower of yevon, and then it truned out to be all ies, so why would she stay the same?

Have you guys read the "Another Story FAQ" at GameFAQs? It’s basically a script of what happened in the additional FMV that was included with the International version (but only certain ones and on a separate disc) and it explains a lot of what’s being talked about here. I definitely think it’s recommended reading for anyone that’s interested in FFX-2 because the FMV itself is basically a setup for the story that’s going to be happening in FFX-2.

I saw this video (with english subtitles of course) and thats how I knew that they changed clothes to be in disguise since Yunas one famous gal now. Its a pretty neat video, I wanna know what happened to Tidus after watching it =P

Don�t get so defensive. I understand what CloudOwnage is saying, she does look like she went from a more conservative look to a revealing and promiscuous look. He said it with different phrasing. Also we if can�t tell what her personality is, then how can you say we’re wrong? Maybe she is a slut, maybe she’s as chaste and a nun. Plus she’s just a character I don�t think this is a good enough reason to get so riled up. 😀
