Tidus in FFX-2

Do you think Tidus will be in FFX-2? Also do you think he will be playable. I have seen the screens of the "clone" of Tidus and for some reason I believe that he is actually Tidus. I wish I knew more about the storyline but thats just my assumption.

You I really would like to see him playable though. It’s to me seems very weird to make a direct sequel of a game and not have the "hero" playable.

ADDITION: Don’t forget, this game is not about Tidus, but its about Yuna rescuing Tidus, among other things of course.

If u watch the additional ending, hes being tortured at the end of FFX. Yuna finds a sphere (or something like it) that shows Tidus and she begins to look for him.

If you look in the previews you’ll see both of them getting shot in some sort of military establishment. However, if you also notice that Yuna is wearing the clothes she wore in FFX, rather than FFX-2, plus the slightly blurish on the scene, it appears to be a dream (or rather, a nightmare) sequence.

At the end of FFX (spoiler.. too l8 I guess), you’ll notice Tidus swims out of teh water, in my theory thats cause he never disappeared. If you remember back when you find out Tidus is a dream, you’ll notice that the fayth says that he’s something more now. Therefore I believe that he became real(er) when sin touched him. Although Yuna goes through him at the end… thats when the Aeons were first disappearing, maybe somehow they made him whole again, or perhaps he was enough of *something* more than a dream to become a reality. We won’t know until the game is out.

However, to answer your question, yes, I do think he will be in the game, but no, I don’t think he’ll be a playable character, or if he is he will NOT be the main character ever, he’ll be the supporting character of Yuna. But I’m not saying he’ll just be in flashbacks, he’ll be rescued before the end of the game… perhaps mid-way through. Thats when, if he is a playable character, he will be able to be in your party, however I find it very unlikly, after all he’s just finished getting tortured for a LONG time.

Yah I suppose your right but it would still be very cool to have Tidus playable. Either way though it would make sense if he was playable or if he wasnt. It all depends on the direction of the story.

Dunno if he’ll be playable though, maybe for a while just like Edea from FF9, he won’t be a main playable character though.

For sure, he’s in FFX-2. Alse mentioned or somewhat mentioned, the whole story for FFX-2 so far is to resque Tidus (but there is probably more to the story, alot more, than that…). But I doubt Tidus is playable… The only thing we can do is hope that someone in Japan or who has the import version has found out and would tell us…

Yah im waiting for story tidbits too. Nothing that will spoil the story for me but just some facts that I would like answered. Oh yah there is a lot more to the story then just rescuing Tidus. It’s Square, there is always more then meets the eye.

I can already tell you he isn’t. And you don’t rescue him till the VERY end.

I long while ago i found some info on FFX-2 simply Yuna,Rikku,Pain are searching for spheres which tell the history of Spira and its inhabitants. There is another group/team racing Yuna’s team to find them. Plus there arenow to main groups the new Yevon and the machina ones. Oh and after the aeons went and yevon was no more Machina took over.

He is in the game but only at the very end, and he’s not a playable character

I thot that wopuld be the case…Tidus not being a playable character, ah well…….he was in the best guy in FFx IMO, shame hes only in the end too:mad: hopefully hews back and playable in FFX-3 if that happens and if europe ever get FFx-2:P

I know this is a open discussion and all, but next time, could you please put SPOILERS at the top of you post? It kind of sucks that i’m 90% done with FFX and now i know what happens in the ending. Remember SPOILERS.

I hope Tidus is playable in this game. But Yuna is the main character and i would rather have her be the main hero.

I haven’t even heard of this extra 15 mintues, could someone tell me what happens because i am dieing to know. all i saw was after i beat the game, when "SPOILER" Tidus came swimming out of the water because it turned out that he was only dreaming of himself, that how the story goes, if you piece it together, you learn that Tidus was actully asleep underwater(for some reason able to breath) but he was dreaming about his life contining, and when he woke up, his dream had faded and he was always real to begin with, but he just carried on as if he was real. His dream allowed him to continue life, but when he died. he "woke up" and was able to continue where he left off.

I think the game promises to be very kewl, seeing as its an FF, but actually tidus kinda pissed me off so, u know, it would be better if they brought back a kewl person lik auron… even though i know they wont…

Hmm.. not sure about the austrailian release date… I’d guess it’ll probably be around the same time as the UK release date though… so probably late November early December? I’d guess they’ll definitly be releasing it be4 Christmas…

Although the role is very small… *coughcoughAuroncoughcough* is in the game… You simply hear his voice towards the last battles of the game, he gives you pointers and boosts morale "Your friends are with you." "You can’t attack the nodes with a sword!!!!" are just a few of his lines ^_^ Although you never actually see him…
