I don’t recall the ‘Prelude’ having any sounds of piano in it. I meant the Prelude as in that bouncy music when we first see Tidus, don’t mistake the Prelude for ‘To Zanarkand’ they are two totally different scores.

Anyway, I’m voting for that one anyway. Out Of The Frying Pan was alright, but it sounded too much like Greensleeves. Not that I don’t like Greensleeves, but that seemed a bit too similar. Movement in Green it is.

Peril – This theme is heard whenever Sin attacks (like when the Al Bhed had a huge machine ready to destroy him, near Djose?).

Edited to add that I checked out "Peril" at the Sphere Theatre in Luca and I don’t like it at all. "Blitz Off" is definitely better for me.

The Travel Agency – This is the main theme for uh…what’s his name’s Agency that sell weapons/armour/items, and also it has them handy machine thingys that tutor you for new monsters and stuff. Oh and also those Al Bhed Primers (is it called Primers? I can’t remember for the life of me) that update your knowledge in the Al Bhed language making it easier to understand the subtitles. XD

Yes…Rin’s. Thanks for that. Sorry. I mean it’s been a good while since I completed it, like a few months ago, and I’ve had it for one year now. I’m terrible at remembering names, I’ll have to write down everything XD

Yeah, I think we should put in "Blitz Ball Gamblers," (awesome) "Rikku’s Theme," (a personal favorite) "Seymour Battle," (way better than "Seymour’s Theme") "Summoned Beast Battle," (fighting the aeons) "Suteki Da Ne" / "Suteki Da Ne (orchestra version)." (of course!)

I’m not sure what all of these are called at the Sphere Theatre, but I could check. "Summoned Beast Battle" and "Suteki Da Ne (orchestra version)" aren’t available at the sphere theatre, since you have to do the final battles / beat the game to get them.

Hey running a rumble seems like fun! 😀 Maybe I should take over? Or maybe I’m too lazy. *sighs* Always too lazy. 🙁 Hey, maybe if some one(s) would offer me a certain something (in which I think I deserve), I would easily overcome my laziness in a heartbeat and get this rumble back up and running in no time. *wink wink* 😉

At first, I was sort of blackmailing that I???ll take over the rumble if I was mad a moderator (which I would be a kick-ass moderator, don???t you agree?). But that didn???t turn out so well. Regardless, I still think I can make a great moderator, especially over the FFX board and the FFX-2 board, once it becomes more popular. Christmas is nearing and a bunch more people will get copies of FFX-2 as gifts (hopefully, including me), or they???ll use the money they get to buy a copy themselves. So things will start getting busy over there, and there???s no moderator in charge! So I???m just saying that I???d welcome becoming a moderator, especially for FFX, FFX-2, and/or FFIX (my fav. FF game).

So now, who what???s this rumble back up and rumbling? Just to see the activeness of this board, I won???t take over the rumble until five different people (no creating multiple accounts, please) post saying that they want this rumble back up. You’re kind of asking your questions in the wrong topic, but I’ll still help you out. Just in the future, don’t double post cause it takes up unneccesary space. You can simply edit your first post.

For BlitzBall, I’ve written an awesome FAQ which is sticked at the top of the topic list on this board. Check that out. Also, go through the in-game tutorial a couple of times until you understand what the heck you are supposed to do. At first, I was totally clueless on how to play this game, but I’ve learned myself and now I’m considered an FFX BB Master to some people, I guess.

For the Sun Sigil, check the thread you made. I’ll try to get the FAQ up there ASAP. That Sigil is hard to get.

Let’s go over the rules really fast. I post up two different items found in FFX (currently we are on music) and you vote for which one you like better (or want to win). You vote by posting. Please do not PM me your votes. Although it would be nice to get a PM for a change, I don’t want to get PM’s for so many different votes. The item with the most votes moves on to the next round and so on and so forth until only one item remains. That is the winner of the rumble! Each battle closes in two days (or more depending on certain circumstances).

On a side note, you should be able to listen to all of the songs in the sphere theater at Luca providing that you bought all the music spheres. Don’t have enough gil? Kill some Mimics at Omega Ruins (the appear after you steal from a tresure chest in battle and there’s nothing in it) for some easy and fast gil.

Another note, some of these titles of the songs come from the Luca Theater directly so on the actual soundtrack, they could be different.

So get rumbling! Oh, and I’ll be mad if this gets only 2 votes or less.

Anyway for the record, definitely To Zarnakand. I Loved it to bits. Helped to keep me going during My ‘O’s. 😀

i can’t remember what the servants of the mountain sounds like but if it is on the 3 disc then I wouldn’t have much recollection of it.I only took notice of the final theme, seynour fight and suteki da ne (orchestra version).

I think the titles of these songs come from the Theater at Luca so if you have the soundtrack, the song titles may be different, but somewhat similar. Cid- (leader of the Al Bhed, also Rikku’s father and Yuna’s uncle; he’s also controls the airship and you have to talk to him whenever you want to go to a new place)

Maroda- (Issaru’s guardian. He actually has to look out for both Issaru, and his younger brother, Pacce who is also a guardian).

I can’t wait to see how these battles go!

Yunaleska (first summoner ever that defeated Sin. She resides in Zanarkand awaiting sucessful summoners to turn a guardian of theirs into the fayth for the Final Summoning. Yuna and Co. end up defeating her in order to break the cycle of Sin.)

Shelinda (the female Yevonite who you first meet on Mi’ihen where Yuna has to encourage her to do her best. She kind of follows you around after that, being at the place you’re going to right before you get there. She ends up being promoted to Bevelle.)

Rikku (the Al Bhed girl that helps Tidus out in the beginning, but later joins up as a guardian to Yuna to guard family)

Never really cared for Brother. Probably because the only way he talked was in Al Bhed and I never got enough in the language to understand him enough to like him. So, anyways, Rikku gets my vote.

Mi’ihen Highroad (the LONG road you travel after Luca, noticable for the many different people you come across as you walk along. Loads of fun when riding a chocobo, but the hilarious Chocobo Eater will prevent you for doing so right off the bat)

Bikanel Island (the desert Tidus and company find themselves stranded in after the attack on Macalania. Rikku leads the way to the AL Bhed Home, which is ironically under attack)

Mt. Gagazet is a very good place for Lvling up and also the best show down with seymor is there. It is also the place where those stupid Ronso perish haha.

Djose Highroad was annoying but also quite fun, after that explosive battle with sin it was the cooling off stage, so I also like that area.

Mt. Gagazet is the winner, bit tough for lower lvl players, but still a good place to be.

Next up:

Kilika Port (the peaceful villiage that acts as a dock for boats from Luca and Besaid; also has the lush Kilika Forest and Kilika Temple where you get Ifrit)

Thunder Plains (the dead plains after Guadosalem well known for the tendancy that travelers will be struck with lightning)

We could speed up this rumble by doing a battle a day. I’ve noticed that everyone votes on the first day, and no one votes on the second day.

Besaid Island (the island where Tidus meets up with Wakka, Lulu, Yuna, and Kimarhi. A nice peaceful island with a gorgeous scenery)

Macalania (this huge area consists of the Macalania Woods, which is the forest made out of crystals, Lake Macalania, which is the ice block you travel on, and Macalania Temple, where you get the deadly but pretty aeon, Shiva)

Bevelle (the chief city of Yevon, which is surpisingly full of machina; contains Bevelle Temple, which is where you get Bahamut, Via Purifico, which is the prison Yuna’s group and Tidus’s group had to escape, and is also well known for many dark secrets in which you find out in FFX-2)

Omega Ruins (the ruins where a dark scholar Omega went to; well known as a great place to train)

Mushroom Rock Road (the rocky place after Mi’ihen where Operation Mi’ihen takes place, even though it’s not on Mi’ihen’s Highroads)

Yeah, I guess I should go for a Quistis theme. Could use help finding pictures still. I checked on both AltaVista and Google for pics (FYI, AltaVista > Google) and came up with a few, but most of them are the same and there’s tons of Fan Art. Some of the fan art is really cool, espeicially a drawing of Quistis leaning on a Ferrari. 😀 Dunno if I could use them or not. Found like two pics of the X-ATM-092 scene which are OK. Oh, and some of the fan art is pretty nasty too (lots of people like drawing Quistis nude).

Or, I could always hunt down for more Tails pics. 😀 Too bad David Fairchild isn’t around cause he made some really good Tails sig.s.

This is going to be overkill to explain each and every monster when it comes to each battle, so I’m asking that instead of depending on me for details, you should give FFX a play, and/or check out FAQ’s for details to find out for youself; it will help me out a bunch. Thanks! I’ll try and get the major details from each one.

Abadon (I think the scary demon type monster that’s trapped in a rock; attacks with Pharoah’s Curse which Blinds, Poisons, and Curses and also attacks with high level magic)

vs.

Nega Elemental (an elemental that absorbs all elements; casts weak magic but counterattacks phsyical attacks with Ultima)

You don’t need to include Nemesis in the list, cause it’s not even in the rumble.

Oh and I’d have cut two crappy area/species creations to make it an easy 32 :P, but that’s just me.

Shinryu-The only underwater creation. Counterattacks every attack, may stone up to two of your characters, and usually drops a couple Wings to Discovery after defeated. Has about 20,000,000 hit points

Neslug-a creation where it is invincible in its second form. After taken about 150,000 hit points, it will hide in its shell and heal itself to full health. Cannot hurt it while in shell form.

Earth Eater-much more difficult version of Chocobo Eater. Has great defense, counterattacks with punch while standing. After it has been knocked over, will counterattack with magic.

These are just three I did right off the bat. I can get more if you need so. Hope this helps

I myself wouldn’t have voted for Abadon cause I hate those rock things too!

Don Tonberry (obviously, a Tonberry. Counterattacks with a powerful version of Karma from far away, and attacks with Knife when he’s close. I think he uses an attack called Voodoo if you summon any aeons)

vs.

Ironclad (a strong Iron Giant with tons of HP and defense. Has three powerful attacks, Reppageki, which deals strong damage but eaiser to dodge, Bushinzan, which attacks the entire party and reduces their MP to 0, and Shinryudan, which deals more damage on a single party member)

Kie: Yeah, there’s 34 monsters in there, and I’d like to cut it down to 32. So if any of you feel that any two monsters should be cut before the first round, tell me ASAP. Agent suggested Vorban and Vidatu (Th’uban is annoying, but challenging) and Im thinking about Pteryx and Hornet (they drop useful spheres, but both monsters are weak).

Tiduslives: I appreciate your help, but I think I can handle finding some descriptions of the monsters. lol I just look through GameFAQ’s. Anyways, I don’t want to be demanding too much out of the voters, but if you want you could start looking up quotes for the quote rumble.

Ornitholestes (lizard which has high evastion rate and magic defense, but he’s slow and weak. Attacks with a poison attack that rarely, if ever, misses, and a HP-Draining attack)

Maybe once we move on to the next round, these blowouts will come up less frequently.

Catoblepas (a mega-strong version of a Behemoth. Has a Final Attack- Ultima which he’ll use to bring you down with him)

vs.

Sleep Sprout (fungus with low HP but great Magic and Defenses. Counterattacks with Goodnight!, which is like, if not worse than Malboro’s Bad Breath. Also has the high level -aga spells along with Flare and Ultima. Drops Teleport Spheres)

Next up:

Malboro Menace (giant malboro that almost always ambushes you. Attacks with Putrid Breath, which is Bad Breath plus damage. Also has an attack that Pertrifies and an attack that slaps all 4 Breaks on at once)

Neslug (slow, ugly thing. Often retreats in it’s shell and restores tons of HP each turn. And that shell is super resisant to all attacks. Also attacks with Megaton, a strong physical attack, and Slime, which attacks the entire team and leaves them in some status effects)

First up:

Valefor (the first aeon you recieve that resembles an aerial bird; it’s the only aeon that can get 2 Overdrives, one of them being the strongest aeon OD in the game; it doesn’t start off with much magic, or an element, but it attacks with Sonic Wings which delays the enemy attack; also since it’s aerial, some enemies won’t be able to reach her to attack her)

vs.

Bahamut (the fifth aeon you get in Bevelle that resembles a dragon; he’s very powerful with a lot of strength and magic; his Impulse attacks the entire enemy party while his non-elemental Mega Flare is one of the best attacks you have early on)

Remember, vote for whatever you like, not only about who would win in a battle. If you like one better, but it would lose in a battle with the other, still vote for the one you like better.

I would have voted for Valefor. Yeah she is weak, and can’t even cure herself from the beginning. But I love her Energy Blast. And I thought Bahamut looked ugly in this game. But whatever.

Anima (a secret aeon you get after obtaining the hidden treasures of every other temple; she is a gigantic looking thing that has been tortured; attacks with Pain which is an instant death attack, if it does kill, it does severe magical damage; her OD is Oblivion, which looks cool and in PAL versions of the game, it hits more that once)

vs.

Magnus Sisters (the last aeon you get when you have obtained all of the other 7; it is composed of three sisters, Mindy, Cindy, and Sandy, making the only aeon party of three; they have good abilities but you cannot control the sisters directly, but say one thing and let them do what they what (ie. saying Fight! means they could either physically attack, use their special attack, attack with magic, or nothing); Cindy has Camiscade which is a strong attack on the enemy group, Sandy’s Razzio is a super strong attack on on target, and Mindy’s Passado is quite possibly the strongest attack in the game; they’re OD Delta Force is hard to obtain as you have to fill all 3 sisters’ OD meters, it’s strong but it’s long)

Aeon battles are fun! Look at this great turnout! 🙂 I honestly thought the sisters would…

Ifrit (your second aeon found at Kilika; fire-elemental beast with great strength; has Meteor Strike which deals some pretty poweful damage onto a target; his OD Hellfire is strong Fire-elemental attack against the enemy party)

Ixion (your third aeon found at Djose; lightning-elemental unicorn; has Aerospark which damages and dispels a target, his OD Thor’s Hammer is a strong Lightning-elemental attack against the enemy party)

Shiva (the sexy, yet lethal, ice goddess whom you get as your 4th aeon at Macalania; her special attack is Heavely Strike, which delays it’s target as well as damages; old OD Diamond Dust is ice-elemental and has her throw tons of ice at the enemy, only for it to all crack at the snap of a finger; also is usually the first aeon to have her stats maxed, but she still has low HP, when compared to the others)

vs.

Yojimbo (an optional aeon you find at the Temple of the Stolen Fayth outside of the calm lands; to obtain him, you must fight him, then pay about 190k-300k gil; he has 4 attacks, and no OD: Daigoro, the dog attacks, Kozuka, throws knives, Wakizashi, attacks with his sworn, and the infamous Zanmato, instant death to I think any enemy; in order for him to do these attacks, you have to pay him, the more money, the greater the chance he’ll use a stronger attack; it’s possible to get him to do stuff for free)

Whoa, that was a close one. This ends Round 1. Only 3 more battles until we’re done with this rumble. 🙂 Hehe.

Even though Shiva was my fav., I honestly thought she had no chance against Anima.

If you guys really want to, we could have like a Wildcard rumble where you vote for those things that you believe deserve to have gotten further then they did so they have a second chance. Any other suggestions?

Weapons sounds good, but I have a feeling that celestial weapons will dominate. Also, there’s like 1000 different weapons and only 5 different forms (in looks).

Abilities and Blitzball might be fun, but i don’t know if everyone will have fun with those.

Minigames would be great. I wonder if theres 16 minigames in FFX… Heh, we’ll be lucky if there’s 8. Ooo, we could have a sidequest one…

Hmmm, it was hard finding some of these bosses, so I had to add in a few that I wouldn’t have added if I had the chance to.

Sinspawn Gui (the large sinspawn creature you face in Mushroom rock that has a body, a head, and two arms; the head poisons a character, the arms defend the body at physically attack you, and the body charges into you an could cast Demi and Thunder; you fight this boss twice, once with your party, and a second time with Yuna, Auron, and Seymour)

vs.

Crawler (the large machina you face in Macalania when the Al Bhed attack Yuna, etc.; attacks with a Gatling Gun which does 10 random hits of about 100 each; his friend robot, Negator, prohibits the use of any magic or aeons, but if you kill him, Crawler can counter attack with Assualt, which deals about 1,000 on the target, and it chargers for Mana Beam, which is a super stronger magic attack against your entire party)

My desctiptions suck. 🙁

I have the walkthrough, so I can get some descriptions.

With that said, I vote for Sinspawn Gui.

Next up:

Lord Ochu (an optional boss found in the Kilika Forest; attacks with Water and Poison Touch, which attacks and poisons a character; after awhile, he falls asleep to recover a lot fo HP, attacking him them will wake him up, but also allows him to use an Earthquake attack, whcih deals a lot of damage)

vs.

Defender X (a physical attack-based robot you encounter as you cross the Calm Lands, he can punch and use Haymaker which deal a lot of damage, and counters with Blast Punch which halves the target’s HP; he could also defend himself with Mighty Guard, despite his Defenses being already very high)

Next up:

Evrae (the flying worm you fight on the Airship as you near Bevelle; tough because you have no Yuna so no white magic or summons; he phsyical attacks, likes to use Venom Breath, which is a strong attack agaisnt your party that leaves them poisoned, and can also attack with Photon which deals 10 random weak attacks on your party, and he likes to haste himself; you could also have Cid move the Airship to fight Evrae either up close or from far away)

vs.

Seymour Omnis (the 4th form of Seymour found in Sin; he attacks with elemental magic depending on the elements facing him from the 4 circle things surrounding him, he can do 4 spells per turn; he can also Dispel your entire party; after dispelling your party, he will attack with Ultima)

Close battle. And MN, you didn’t really vote for anyone. However, if you were to vote for Seymour, I would actually get a chance to vote, and I’d pick Evrae so yeah. No change.

Wendigo (the snowy orge you face after you escape from Macalania; he’s strong and basically attacks with random phsyical attacks and counter attacks, he likes to cast Beserk on himself)

vs.

Biran and Yanke Ronso (the two older Ronsos Kimahri has to face on his own; they attack with physical attacks, including charge attacks, as well as various spells and blue magic attacks)

I’m fed up with descriptions. I’ll just describe what they look like and stuff from now on. Unless you want specifics and such.

Like Smokey, I was the fan of the endless supply of Level 3 key spheres.

Oblitzerator (the huge machina creation you fight at Luca to rescue Yuna while Wakka is playing in the blitz tournament; throws blitzballs at you that causes damage and status effects; you could also power-up the crane next to you and use it to do major damage to the machina)

vs.

Spherimorph (the blob thing you fight in Macalania Forest; it shifts it’s element every few turns, thus changing it’s strengths and weaknesses; it can also attack your party phsyically)

No one likes the machina, eh?

Spectral Keeper (this is the second Keeper-boss you fight on your way to Zanarkand’s fayth; it sits in the middle of 6 different platforms and lays mines down on random ones, in which you’ll have to transport your party members around the platforms to avoid those mines; he attacks the 3 platforms in front of him and he casts Beserk)

vs.

Geosgaeno (the optional underwater boss found in Baaj Temple, this is also the boss you fight very early in the game but excaped from it instead of beating it; high defense and it likes to attack you with Stone-status attacks, which will knock off a character from the battle for good; plus it can capture someone in his cage and attack with water attacks)

Did anyone notice that whatever option the first person picks, wins in both the FFX and FFX-2 Rumble? Haha.

Seymour Flux (the 3rd form of Seymour you fight on Mt. Gagazet; has an aresanal of moves, including a extremely strong attack on your whole party, and he likes to Zombify your characters)

Omega Weapon (the final boss creature you fight in Omega Ruins; he’s powerful, and has some good attacks)

I agree with Agent0042, this game’s Omega Weapon was pretty disapointing.

Tros (the octopus like creature Tidus and Rikku face very early in the game; notable for the attack on both sides feature)

Chocobo Eater (the big chocobo-eating monster you fight in the middle of Mi’ihen Highroad; is very strong and attempts to push you off a cliff, in which you could counter and push him off the other side of the cliff)

Extractor (this is the machina that captures Yuna while riding on the moonflow; it is an underwater battle in which only Tidus and Wakka partake in, considering that Rikku hasn’t been introduced yet, and besides, she’s piloting the machina!)

And for the record, you do not need to bold your answers. At least, not over here. So if bolding is bothering you, then simply don’t do it. I can and will take an extra minute or so to read everyone’s comments and figure out which they voted for.

Ii think when you had to fight Sin in the chain (when you faught him 3 times) I found that quite difficult seeming as his overdrive kept coming so quickly and killing me instantly. it took me 2 weeks to complete that but then I got him with the all-mighty Bahumat! From then on it was easy 😛
