The Slots Limit Break.

Just thought about this…

… I managed to get Cait Sith’s Limit Level 2 break Slots, and I’ve used it occasionally (not very, because I’m not really too keen on Cait Sith as a fighting character.) I can’t count how many times I’ve used the limit break, but I’ve never been able to stop it so three things match. As a result, Cait Sith often does some crap toy box move or something, making me even more disgusted at him than usual.

Anyone else have this problem, or am I the only one without the knack of stopping the reels?

I dunno… I only used him a little at first ’cause I thought that if he sucked story wise he must be a killer in battle. ‘course I was wrong so I dropped the idea. I never managed or bothered to get his limit breaks.

Though I did screw up Tifa’s limit quite often.

I got lucky… (And I believe the slots outcome was somewhat effected by ‘luck’ could be hell of a lot wrong though xD)

Anyway; I got the his death to all thing against both Emerald Weapon and Ruby weapon (different games though) but still :B
I mostly get the toy crap though.

I never got lucky enough to get his Death to all attack x.x. I tried hundreds of times and all I got are those crappy toy box attacks.

when i was leveling up cait sith… i used a hyper on him along with the rest of the party and i noticed that cait siths limit guage went up faster than the others… :/
anyway… i didnt like cait sith either… his attacks sucked. i didnt manage to get the death to all attack but i did manage to get random summons a few times… all the others i got toy boxes

Hyper lowers defense and raises your limit gauge growth. So that isn’t all too weird, since that gows for all characters. And tranquilizers (when used on hyper) will turn you back to normal. But when used when on normal, you go into sadness (I think it’s called that) and it boosts your defense, but lowers your limit gauge growth.

So it can be used to tactical advantages.

I didn’t like Slots at all. Did you know that he actually has a combination you can get if you’re unlucky that actually causes guaranteed instant death to your entire party?

well of course… but hyper really helps when trying to level up your limit breaks…

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">Two Cait Siths and a Bar. I remember that one too well. It was one of the first time I’d ever used Slots, and I hadn’t saved for over an hour, not expecting something like a limit break to kill me. :p I’ve never used Slots since then. I think I actually set Dice back again after that.

And if the reels are going too fast, keep pressing the square button quickly. This slows down the speed that the reels turn, altohugh you can’t stop them while you’re holding down square (or whatever that button is in the PC version). It never worked too well for me really, but some poeple find it helpful, so give it a try.

I never used Cait Siths in my team he/it sucks I didn’t like him/it at all.

i think you mean "doll" not "dull", and yes, he is, he is a robot who looks like a big mog with a cat on his head. he is being controled by~~SPOLIER~ that guy who is helping Rufus, but ends up getting caught so i think you lose him way later, almost at the end of the game, after you kill sepherioth, you see him(the man)being carried away by guards

More spoilers. The guy helping Rufus is Reeve, the Shinra manager. He begins to have misgivings about what Shinra is doing pretty on. Like if you watch in the beginning of the game, President Shinra orders the destruction of Sector 7 and Reeve gets really mad, but Heidegger just disses him and President Shinra tells him to go take a vacation or whatever. And so he really doesn’t like Heidegger or Scarlet, thus lines like Cait Sith’s "Both gya ha ha and kya ha ha are plotting something."

I kind of liked Cait Sith as a character, but he really blew in battle.
