Ordered Some Games Like Woah

I just bought Chu Chu Rocket, Giant Gram 2000, and Fire Pro Wrestling D for the Dreamcast. I’ve played Chu Chu Rocket before, and it was dopezage.

I’m really looking forward to the other two. They’re Japanese wrestling games, so that’ll own. I play the Dreamcast more than any other system, so I chose these. Giant Gram is an arcade (little selling) style game, where you combo moves together. It’s an All Japan game so that’ll be cool.

Fire Pro looks the most promising however. It’s part of the best series of wrestling games ever. I can’t even begin to go into detail. Wrestlers from every federation across the world (with altered names, to avoid copyright laws) come together and rock the house with awesome wrestling (and great selling). And it even has deathmatches.

I also plan on buying Smackdown 5 when it comes out tomorrow.

I’ll give my thoughts when they arrive. Smackdown’ll be first, since I can get it locally. Chu Chu Rocket should get here soon, since I got that off of an American ebay seller. The other two were from sellers in Hong Kong though.

So anyone play any of these games before? What’s your thoughts?

I recommend trying to get Spawn for Dreamcast, it’s a pretty fun game, especially for parties and multiplayer with 4 people! 😀

My friend had Spawn, but traded it in to give me a few bucks to buy Tony Hawk 4 to play when he slept over. Never actually played it though.

The Dreamcast had SO many quality games of all genres. Ace system. Shame it’s "dead."

I still play it more than anything else next to the computer. I still like 10 or so hours a week just in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Throw in emulators and the other great 2D fighting games. :o~

I bought the game myself, and was fairly addicted for the first week or so. The addiction wore off, but it’s a game I can just pick up and play, unlike most of my games which are RPGs and take a while to get into. So it’s a nice change.

I have a WWE/Anime/Games crazed friend and she told me that in Japan SD 5 is called Exciting Pro Wrestling 5…:eye:

If any game for the Dreamcast, make sure you get Jet Grind Radio…regardless that the tricks you can do are limited, it blows any other skating game clearly out of the frickin’ water (even though it’s on rollerblades and not skateboards..)

PSO is fun and addictive, and even better when you’re actually online. So if you haven’t given that a try, I reccomend doing so.

Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 are a must. Great, fast paced games.

Shenmue is awesome if you have an extra VMU and plenty of spare time. So much to do in that game, it’s just mind-numbingly great.

Chu Chu Rocket, to me, didn’t make any sense..it was so weird…but I only played it for 5 minutes in a store (it was on display), so yeah…

Chu Chu Rocket is a very simple game. It’s absolutely addictive.

The games you listed are all good. I SO WANT SEAMAN! That game looks awesomely done!

Dreamcast doesn’t support any online gameplaying, IIRC.

Giant Gram got lost in the mail, so I dunno what I’m goinna do.

Fire Pro is so turbo dope. I play as Volk Han. Because Volk Han is the man.

Smackdown 5 is still good, but now that my friends now my strategies, and I know their’s, it’s kinda getting boring.

And yes, the Smackdown series is called Exciting Pro Wrestling. It’s not exactly the best game over there. But it is here. US wrestling games tend to suck. 🙁

The Exciting Sports franchise goes back to the NES. Double Dribble, the "classic" NES basketball game with the horrible voice sample was actually "Exciting Basketball."

I wouldn’t recommend Seaman… it kinda got boring when you realize you could of just done the same with that huge Fish Tank in your kitchen. :/

But you miss out on being sassed by a talking fish, as well as the absurd tale of egyptian magic it springs on you.. .

and Leonard Nimoy!

I got Giant Gram 2000. It is purely arcade style. There is no selling whatsoever, but it is very fun. I mean, the system of everything can be insanely entertaining. But when Steve Williams beats you with 2 punches, a powerslam, and a lariat, you will feel gipped. The outcome is very unpredictable. Still I recommend it.

Worth each of the $17 or so I payed for it.

Turns out that "we weren’t home" whenever the mail lady came. Oh, and they left two late notices before we saw the last one. :whatever: I had to go to the post office to get it. 😡
