Your favourite piece of music?

What’s you favourite piece of FF music? I’d say mine is either the FFVII boss theme, the Balamb garden theme or Dagger’s theme. So… Yours?

Hmmm;
Parade for the Sorceress.
Boss battle VI, VII, VIII. (Boss battles are always good :B)
Laguna’s battle theme.
Turks and ShinRa theme

and I have probaly more, but dunno the names of it right now or I just can’t think of it :E

My favorite piece of FF music is the world of ruin theme in FF6.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">Damn, it’s difficult to decide an overall favourite. Some of my favourites do include (in no particular order):

Battle with Gilgamesh (FF5)
Aeris’ Theme (FF7)
Cid’s Theme (FF7)
Movin’ (FF8)
Everything from the FF8 final battle
Melodies of Life (FF9)
You’re Not Alone (FF9)
Seymour Battle (FF10)
Revealed Truth (FF10)

As an overall favourite for now I’d probably pick Revealed Truth. I’ve never heard a more emotional piece in any game I’ve played, and it fits the scenes it’s played in so well. 🙂

I’ve got loads of favourites too. They include…

‘A fleeting dream’ – FF10
All of the music in FF8 (yeah, all of it. And the ending music is great, the credits bit I mean)
Music when Aeris dies in FF7 (can’t remember what it’s called)

And there are more but I can’t think of them right now, but FF8 mainly. It’s so great.

I know that this is not just a "piece".. But the entire FFTactics soundtrack is amazing! Best game soundtrack I have ever heard!
But with FFT aside, I like Kefka’s theme in FF6 *SPOILER* Especially when you fight him at the end, in his "angel" form, the song is awesome */spoiler*

The entire FF7 soundtrack, as well as Tactics (expecally the battle music when it rains [or usually rains]…can’t remember he name of it).

The majority of FF8 is great, and FF9 has it’s good stuff.

FFX had a few good songs..Otherworld, Island of Besaid, Battle Music, etc…wasnt’ bad.

FFV’s world map theme and battle music was cool..

The one winged angel and the dark messenger are my fave bad boy tracks.

Balamb, Besaid island, FFT zodiac battle and FF5 boss theme are my all time faves.

I got a lot of more…FF has so much great music.

There are so many pieces that I love that I’ll just hit a few highlights:

Favorite "Overreaching Piece" – The Prologue / Final Fantasy Anthem (It can be heard in the ending of most of the games.)

Favorite vocal piece – Melodies of Life

Other pieces:

Final Fantasy VI – Cyan, Relm, Setzer and Mogs’ themes, the entire ending piece (possibly the best one of any of them, too bad the ending itself wasn’t that great), Kefka’s battle theme, Coin Song, Blackjack, Aria Di Mezzo Carattere

Final Fantasy VII – Aeris, Cid and Yuffies’ themes, Interrupted by Fireworks, One Winged Angel (I love almost all of the music in this game, really.)

Final Fantasy VIII – The Landing (I can’t believe nobody has mentioned this yet.), Tell Me, Eyes on Me, Movin’, The Stage is Set

Final Fantasy IX – The Airship: Hilda Garde III, Eiko’s Theme, Song of Memories, Garnet’s Theme, You’re Not Alone

Final Fantasy X – Tidus’ Theme, Blitzball Gamblers, final Seymour theme, Yuna’s Theme, Suteki da Ne

Final Fantasy X-2 – Eternity (and especially the version played by the troupe at Guadosalam), 1000 Words (There’s more, but I’m not familiar with all the names yet.)

I like Aeris’s theme very much. And also the blizball theme from FFX.

FFVI Overworld theme, the original world, not the world of ruin. I used to just leave the game on to listen to that song while I’d do chores.

Final Fantasy IV: Last Battle (I loooooooooove that one!! Can play it on the piano, but my parents don�t like it… )

i would have to saythat my favorite piece of FF music would have to be the one winged angel, not only becuase it’s sephiroth’s theme it’s real catcht on halloween when you feel like chasing someone….i’m just weird like that i guess

if it was best chocobo music, i’d have to go with the two in FF8. X-2 is ok.. but i love the FF8 chocobo music.

Reno’s music from ff7 or the Jenova battle music. They both rule. Also the music from the Ject fight in ff10. I love that. METAL!!!!!!!!!!!

If it was a crappylove 1 8 had lyrics which was cool but all round i liked the 4 form of ultemecia where u cant die-Also 8.

You can’t beat the Chocobo theme ^^ It’s so cheery and high paced! 😀

in FFX2, chocobo song is changed to a strutting song instead of the traditional bouncy running song…

Nah, I mean the beginning to FF8, Liberi Fetali.

It’s just a really moving piece. I want to play some old school FF’s just to hear the music.

Final Fantasy X’s ‘Other World’ will always be the best piece of music in Final Fantasy. Nice and heavy…….it really hits you, especially whilst watching the Zanarkand Movie Intro with it.

well Other World definitley fits that blitz game scene.

I don’t really remember other music’s name but I love Suteki da Ne in FFX and One Winged Angel from FF7
Those two are just so great!

Other World rules. The ffx intro movie is my favorite start to any game. Everytime I see that video it makes my hair stand on end. Everything about it is perfect. The eye-opening guitar moment, Auron walking around being a general badass, the water effects, Sin looming on the horison and Auron holding his drink up to him and of course, the blitzball. Utter perfection.

FFVII/KH – One Winged Angel

FFXI – Dungeon Battle Music/Party Dungeon Battle Music; W and E Ronfaure song.

I would have to say that One Winged Angel from FF VII and hymn of the faith from FF Xare the best.

It’s hard to pick a favorite. I really like Jenova’s theme. However all of the music is really great. I also am found of Yuna’s Ballad from x-2.
