1. The new ‘Lara Croft’ had some pretty neat battle effects (it’s a must! :D)
2. You’re in the wrong forum ^_^ go to ‘Text Based Role Playing Games and not RPB forum. Here we only make RPG’s and not discuss on them 😀
I also loved the graphics used in Legaia 2. Okay, so sometimes they hit thin air rather than enemies, but most of the time it is pretty cool.
You can’t really mention first person RPGs, but Morrowind’s battle graphics are the same as its normal graphics, so it’s nice.
When you get right down to it, in RPGs, your character is always doing the same move over and over again in battle. "Attack" is the most common move that you use. I tend to avoid using magic unless in a boss battle, or facing a tough bad guy or something. (Although in X-2, I use abilities to level them up quicker.)
Morrowind’s the same. It’s not all hack and slash, there’s magic to account for, and stealth-sneaking up to someone and assassinating them from distance using a crossbow or a bow and arrow. So… It’s not really doing the same thing over and over again, because your decision in how to approach the situation is just as important as hacking away… If you decide to just run in each time, then you’re going to eventually find someone who’s stronger than you who’ll tear you to pieces in ten seconds (Umbra springs to mind. o_o;;;; )
