Best record in beating the…

Guys…what’s your best record in beating the emerald weapon?..

tell ya when i beat him *mumbles*damn emerald weapon *grumble grumble*

In terms of time: Who knows? In times of number of times, twice so far.

I made the mistake of loading up all my characters with materia to get the huge AP boost on it all. In reality, it would’ve been a better bet to only have limited materia and attack with KOTR and all.

I just recently beat the floating behemoth and I think it took around just under a half an hour.

45 minutes or so……..

I think I beat him in 7 minutes or something… I dunno, it’s been a long while.

i killed that monster 4 only 5 mins without using kOTR

and how exactly did you do that may I ask?

well…i took me 3 – 4 weeks 2 do this stuff….i mastered counter 40 times….it just crashed into my mind…i never thought i would work…i never died…

MY characters:
Cloud – lvl 99
Ultimate weapon – 8 counter attack
Wizard Bracelet – 7 counter attack, 1 4-cut
Yuffie – lvl 99
conformer – 8 counter attack
wizard bracelet -7 counter attack, 1 4-cut
Barret – lvl 99
Missing score – 8 counter attack
wizard bracelet – 7 counter attack, 1 4-cut

Well…First, i Unleash their limitbreaks (cloud – omnislash) (yuffie – doom of the living) ( barret – catastrophe)
the the emerald weapon will answer back with the revenge stamp…All of my characters will counter….15 counters * 9999 = 149985…. Yuffies’s damage is 149985, cloud’s damage is 130k-140k, barret’s damage is 149985…

then….4-cuts….then…again and again…that’s it…emerald weapon is finish…

I seriously never new that the more Counter materias you have in you the more times you counter. Thanks for enlightening me Jinn. ^_^

WHAT!!!??!!??! i never thought of that, that’s fuckin briliant, i’m still stuck on emerald and that damn ruby, those bastards are goin down someday, just don’t know when:(

I Took About 25 Mins last time cause I DIdi it With not Leveled Characters And No KOTR (I Dont Breed Chocobos) Its one Of the Most Fun Fighs In 7

i beat him in 15 mins, and it was alittle easier then mastering 40 counterattacks :/

i think just about all it took was a mastered kotr, w-summon, and 2 mimics. just put the kotr with w-summon on cloud and 1 mimic on each of the others. just w-summoned kotr and mimiced it so it would cast 6 times in a row. Did this 3-4 times and he died.

Well I knew Characters can counter more than 1 time but I didn’t think it works more than 8 times.

THis is the best formula to win it I’ve ever heard.

i think your all full of shit because it took me like half an hour to beat safer sephiroth and the weapons are suppose to be soo much harder and i beat them but it took me FOREVER foreverforever and a day

i have never beaten him, i almost did but he finished me of, havent played it in a while so next time i play it i will give it a shot

in essence any given character can counter up to 16 times… with that many slots provided…

i dont know because i used underwatr materia but if my PSOne and Disc Three were working ( starts sobbing ) i could probaly tell you but as an estimate i probably beat him in 5-8 minutes.

Today, I killed Emerald weapon and Ruby weapon in a row and it didn’t take longer than my previous data though it still took over 10 minutes when I beat Emerald…..

By the way, I came up with some new idea.

Do you guys know when characters have Reflect on them if you use magic whose materia is connected to All on the entire party (yous not enemies), the magic gets reflected to enemies 3 times?

If you have W-magic and Quadra-magic, you must be able to spell magic 24times, yeah?

3X4x2=24times

However this isn’t that useful because if you use KOTR by W-Summon it’s stronger.

2X13=26times

But I think it’s still interesting and in the eary game it could be useful that you can spell magic 3times.

Yes but imagine the MP you will need for that..it is more then 999.
And you can only get 9999 if you turn your Hp to 999 which is a risky trial.

to remedy, just use mp absorb… but a problem with that is… reflect only protects against 3 magics, quad magic goes 4 times…. and don’t try to cast reflect twice… it’ll just waste one reflect shield and cast reflect on the enemy party!… and every time i try, i can’t reflect gravity magic… it just ignores the barrier! >:( GRR!!!

Gravity magic and Ultima don’t get reflected, but except for them every magic does. Is Flare the srongest magic apart from Ultima and Gravity magic?

Actually, it doesn’t require you to use that much MP.
Quadra-magic can be used by just each magic’s original MP cost.
W-Magic needs double MP cost though.

It took me about 17 minutes to beat Emerald Weapon. It took me so long, because of the Kotr.

I beat it with Kotr, mime and 2-summon. But I did not need the underwater materia, because I was under 20 minutes. 😉

and 777… thanks… i knew about gravity, and i killed myself with ultima once when trying to fight ruby… (it was a long time ago, and i was like.. ‘hey if he wanna counter me w/ultima, then i’ll use it on him 3 times, hahaha’ and then i was like ‘waaaah, i died’ … haha) but personally, i prefer break to flare, cuz flare is only damage, and break can paralyze, and ruby is susceptible to paralysis…

Every single monster like that i end up having to beat twice because when i beat them the first time there is usually a powercut. and damn i hate it. …..hey random discovery Aire Tam is Materia backwards!!!! wow i never noticed that before!!

wow dude!!! *slowness (on my part)* i never noticed that… and i usually would.. but it’s a video game, and i don’t pay that kind of attention to them… i wonder if most ppl who figure out that it’s based on materia figure that out first, or at all… and if it’s similar in Japan… nevermind (dumbness) no secret Weapons in Jap version!

Yeah isnt Aire Tam Storm something like "1111 x amout of materia on character" or something to that effect?
i cant really remember anymore.
