Firstly, cell shading. I do not like games with cell shading in them. As it is, I only just barely tolerate Robotech Battlecry, for this very reason (Also add in Cam Clarke doing the vice of the main character??? I HATE CAM CLARKE!!!). Some people like games with cell shading, and I admit, some of them can be good. Dragon Quarter on the other hand, IMO, sucks.
Secondly, music/sound. I found the music and sound to be rather lackluster in this, the fifth chapter of this series. In some parts the music was just ordinary, and in others??? ugh, I hit the mute button on my TV remote.
Thirdly, characters. My god, how bad are they. Compared with the characters in Breath of Fire 1, 2, 3 and 4, I found the characters in Dragon Quarter to be a pale shadow of the earlier characters. I mean, look at Nina. In Breath of Fire II she was the princess of Windia born with the Black wings (Which actually looked blue/purple), which would bring destruction to Windia. In BoF III, she was still as she was in II, but without the black wings, but was more??? perky. In BoF IV, I seriously wanted her to get blown up. Only her magic skills kept her in my party all the time. In BoFV??? I don???t even want to say anything. Suffice to say, I don???t like her.
The only reason I bought this game, was because I???m a fan of this series. Hang on, let me reprhase that, I WAS a fan of this series. Whatever credibility CAPCOM had generated by competing against Square, Konami and other RPG greats, they threw it away with Dragon Quarter. But then again, that???s my own opinion.
Anywayz, what???s the worst game you own?
*glances over at the game racks*
Oh wait, we still own a copy of Deadly Alliance.
Okay, that one’s the worst.
Oh, and that Star Wars/Tetris combo thing that came with the X-Box.
*looks at his collection of great games*
Zone of the Enders. The second game was really great but the first game lacked A LOT of "fun" stuff. It’s a rather impressive game and a good step but it’s a step that could of just not been shown.
Disney’s Action Game featurng Hercules! My very first PSX game which I got when I was 6
Holy crap I feel old.
So, what’s the worst game I actually shelled out money for and that I still have ?
Hum…
Let’s see…*goes to look at his collection of PS2,PSX, GB, and Cube games*
Ah, hum…Mortal Kombat on Game Boy ? :p lol No, wait, didn’t I get that as a gift when I was 12 ? Shoot, I can’t remember…
Hum, no, in general, I’m pretty satisfied with the games I have.
I have to agree with Xiahou Dun that Dragon Quarter is quite the let-down. It didn’t dislike as much as he did but it sure isn’t as good as the rest of the series, in my humble opinion.
Worst game I have is AFL ’99 for the PSone – it’s a game of Australian Football that is pretty much ‘run around and catch a ball then press X’.
Fantavision for the PS2. *shudder* I mean, the music makes my ears want to bleed. And what’s with those dumbass films with the kids?
And Legion: Legend of Excalibur. That’s the absolute worst game I have.
And that’s saying a lot, considering I have the first two Mobile Suit Gundam games that came out for the PS2–Journey to Jaburo and Zeonic Front. Both those games sucked majorly. I beat them both pretty easily, but the graphics and the actual control system was still clunky as hell and annoying.
Especially Zeonic Front. The first mission that I met up with Gundam I was kicking Amuro’s ass, but got mission failure because the objective was to collect battle data, not destroy it. That frickin’ sucks.
So yeah, Zeonic Front is right up there.
Here’s the short version of my post:
1. Fantavision – Hideous, blood-curdling music and scary FMV’s featuring kids with Down’s Syndrome or something.
2. Legion: Legend of Excalibur – So boring I never completed it.
3. The Mobile Suit Gundam games for PS2 – guess that’s what I get for thinking Bandai could possibly make a good videogame.
3. The Mobile Suit Gundam games for PS2 – guess that’s what I get for thinking Bandai could possibly make a good videogame.
Hey.
Gundam Battle Assault for the PSX was all kinds of wonderful.
I have Gundam Battle Assault, too, not too crazy about it.
If you like 2D fighting games where every single suit has the same combos and attacks. Or rather, the same button presses get similar levels of damage from each of the characters.
And it had even less storyline than the MK games, if that’s even possible.
Heh, guess that moves up to #2 on my list, thanks Mandi.
If you like 2D fighting games where every single suit has the same combos and attacks. Or rather, the same button presses get similar levels of damage from each of the characters.
Odin, you wouldn’t really say that if you understood "canceling", "range", "frame advantages", etc etc. ๐
Tomb Raider isn’t THAT bad! And ExS, the first Tomb Raider is an ADVENTURE GAME, not an action game. ๐
In any event, the worst I own is probably Mortal Kombat Trilogy. It seems put together real sloppy and some weird sounding music…the music and atmosphere was actually better in the UMK3 genesis one.
Odin, you wouldn’t really say that if you understood "canceling", "range", "frame advantages", etc etc. ๐
Well, if I was a fan of "fighting" games to begin with, I’d care enough to explore those options.
Perhaps I should’ve put more emphasis on the lack of storyline, you seem to have missed that.
I loved the first Tomb Raider… Well, that’s not entirely true. I just loved making Lara jump off a cliff and listening to that hilarious scream as she fell into the lake below, or the crunch when she hit the ground.
A fighting game’s story is as good as a porno vid… it’s still a good play/watch. ๐
I love you for this quote.
Anyway I think the worst game(if any) would be Ulimited saga. Not that I completly hate this game but compared to my kick ass collection of RPGs this game is just my least favorite.
edit:
No wait I take that back I resently was given a copy of some stupid game called AMPLITUDE and man is it shit!
A fighting game’s story is as good as a porno vid… it’s still a good play/watch. ๐
Ha ha ha !
That’s exactly how you could put it, indeed.
Alas, my tale brings us the realm of Hewlet Packard’s obsession with giving free shitty games out with their older PCs.
And so, my worst game that I own is The Great Word Adventure or something.
Although, technically, in my house also happense to be the like of Reader Rabbit and Winnie the Pooh for Preschooler kinds of things… but they’re on the border of not being games at all.
The only other thing that comes to mind is Twisted Metal Black… which was just bad. Bad bad bad. My brother bought it, though, so =\
i really hate that game………….
i throw it like a frissbeeeee 2 hours before i sold it……… and kick it… and spit on it…..
Although, technically, in my house also happense to be the like of Reader Rabbit and Winnie the Pooh for Preschooler kinds of things… but they’re on the border of not being games at all.
What do you have against Reader Rabbit!? I demand to know, I love Reader Rabbit! It was one of the first games I ever played back on my family’s old 286 pc. That and the Golf game of the good ol’ 286 got me into gaming.
Reader Rabbit protects you while you sleep. Do not F*** with it!

Well.. ah… er…
Maybe being 10 was a little too old for Reader Rabbit Preschool…
Althoguh, I must say that I have beaten every one of those games we own >.>
Of.
The.
ROBOTS.
Here’s a little math problem.
Sluggish gameplay.
Limited & random controls. Emphasis on random.
So short, it’s not even worth the consideration of a rent. +
Not fun at all.
At
All.
Summoner yes, it is very poor indeed
MTV extreme skateboarding ft Andy McDonald
army men:land sea and air
spiderman the movie advance
riven the sequel to myst(awful and obscure in equal portion)
and my favourite which i actually have quite a softspot for-
LEGOISLAND
LEGOISLAND Lego Island was awesome!
1.Bragon Ball Z Budokai
2.Xenosaga
3.Terminator Dawn of Fate
4.Dragon Valor (for PSX)
I only got it way back in ’96 (it was in the bargain bin because even then the system was well and truely dead anyway), and then only because I was a huge INXS fan at the time. Now, I can’t get rid of it.
Needless to say, pawnbrokers refuse to buy it, even for five bucks, and in desperation I even put it in the classifieds with a ‘free’ heading, but still, I can’t get rid of it. Right now, it’s laying at the bottom of my pile of old Mega CD games, gathering dust.
I guess it’ll follow me to the end of the world, where hopefully it will then go to gaming hell, where very bad people are forced to play it for eternity…..
<B> Halo is the worst game i own, i hate it. </B>
Ha, I love the sarcasm this <B> Kain Highwind </B> guy uses!
<B> You probably dont even know who Kain Highwind is. </B>
Yeah, ok, sure I don’t. Considering there is only one Kain…
<B> But i really hate HALO </B>
Uh oh, you can’t be hating on one of the two good games that X-box has. Well, actually, you can, just explain this to me:
<B> it sucks dick to tell the truth. </B>
Explain to me, in full-detail, why Halo sucks.
…because…
…because i suck at it and i quit when i lose (all the time).
But its still the worst game i own.
I mean, people like Kingdom Hearts and I don’t know why, but like I said in my first post, that’s just my opinion.
Yeah, the game was pretty much crappy and if I was supposed to learn anything…. well I didn’t learn anything.
Oh god Summoner is a terrible game.
Alas, my tale brings us the realm of Hewlet Packard’s obsession with giving free shitty games out with their older PCs.
And so, my worst game that I own is The Great Word Adventure or something.
Oh wow. I used to have The Great Word Adventute. Good old Howie Mandell. XD
I think it came with my computer.
Gungriffon Blaze.
I swear, the $17 I paid for this game will not repent for it’s sins against nature. The guy at gamestop wont even give me $3 for it. I can only say one thing to the makes of ths game. Rot in hell.
Bitches…
Worst game I ever owned was Dark Cloud. Man that game sucked. I played it for 45 minutes and said to hell with this, I would rather stick red hot pins in my eyes then play this again.
Oh yeah, for me it would have to be…
Any of the Sim City variants for PC.
So friggin’ boring it is unreal, plus the fact that I just don’t have the patience to build a city and all that junk…
Though it was fun for all of five minutes sending disasters ripping through the cities at random. ๐
Wild 9 sucked as well, for those who can remember it.
Oh yeah, who can forget Beach Head? Has to be the worst game ever.
I mean, it gets old as hell after the third night stage, mainly because there is no more variety after that.
And to the person that posted before me here: It was so nice being one of the only people on this forum with an Odin variant for their name here… I just hope this doesn’t mean there will soon be a bunch more…
<B> It was so nice being one of the only people on this forum with an Odin variant for their name here… I just hope this doesn’t mean there will soon be a bunch more…</B>
Well, would you rather see more "Cloud" variations, or more "Odin" variations?
Well, would you rather see more "Cloud" variations, or more "Odin" variations?
I would prefer it if people would be creative enough to come up with their own name instead of making a variant of a name someone else already has.
<B> I would prefer it if people would be creative enough to come up with their own name instead of making a variant of a name someone else already has. </B>
Well, I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with having a variation of a often-used name here. I used to have Tidus in my name, until I realized how stupid it was, thus changing it. There are so many "Clouds, Sephiroth, Tidus, etc." names here, that when I see a new member with that in their username, I’m like "Oh yay, another Tidus!"
I would like to see more creative names as well. I guess that people don’t realize that since this is a Final Fantasy forum, that there are going to be numerous members with some type of variant in their name.
and speaking of cell-shaded games i have dbz budokai 2 and it looks and sounds good i like to pwn all my freinds at it ๐
First, ET was bad, really bad. Just walk along a path, fall in a hole and that’s it.
Second, The Wisdom Tree games. These are the sort of games, Rod and Todd Flanders from the Simpsons would be allowed to play, because they’re religious games.
*shudder* I thought I saw bad games…. then I saw THEM!

Ha, all the copies that didn’t sell got buried in an Arizona desert.
You can buy them at gaming/comic cons, still in the shrinkwrapped box, for like $15 bucks.
I’m really tempted to buy it, as a little piece of gaming history, or something.
But then again, demons might come and suck away my soul. ; ;
Tony Hawk 3 (PS1)
i must say the worst game i own is sonic heroes errr i hate this game!!!!!
Yeah that stunk.
As did The Sims on the PS2. As fun as sliding down a razor blade and landing in TCP.
You people obviously never played Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness….
Rise.
Of.
The.
ROBOTS. For my birthday in 97, I got three games for my SNES – Donkey Kong Country 3, Super Mario Kart, and Rise Of The Robots.
Two of those games were good, whereas the other one was one of the slowest, unresponsive, most pathetic game ever conceived. I think you can guess which one I’m referring to.
pikmin got it a looooooooong time ago cause it looked ok but after the 1st week of playing it put me to sleep <snore>
HA, Jamie beat that in I think 2 days. I can’t remember.
Anyway, Tony Hawk 3 for PS1. It’s better on a NextGen system.
All those MD golf games. =/
The worse game I have ever owned would be, hands down, the Superman game for the N64. It is bad enough that I spent money on the N64 console, but the Superman game rubbed my proverbial nose in the mess.
The controls where horribly sloppy and so was the scene designs. In fact, a player could get themselves stuck behind a wall in almost every room by walking into a corner.
I know that the official sentiment is that the E.T. game for the Atari 2600 is considered the worse game of all time, but Superman has got to be the new title holder.
It is bad enough that I spent money on the N64 console
Oh, come on.
The controller, for starters, was, and still is, better than the PS1/2’s.
Though graphics were often not high FPS-wise, they were still colourful and involving – Banjo Kazooie, Mario 64, Blast Corps, The Ocarina of Time, Turok 2, DK, and Conker’s Bad Fur Day.
Who knows what console you bought instead.
The worst game i own, which i bought myself is:
Frank Herbert’s Dune
I’m a Dune fan, but this game really sucked
The mini serie Frank Herbert’s dune, was already bad (it had lot’s of inaccurate stuff) but the game based on this miniserie has those to, and the gameplay sucks….
SHITTEST GAME IN EXISTENCE!!!
Zhou Yu would tear Xiahou Dun in half
I could comment on this, but I won’t.
every other charachter>xiahow dun>lu bu>lui bei
For PS2, I’ll have to say Wizardry:Tale of Forsaken Land. It makes me dizzy. How I disliked that game.
Any way the worst game I bought was Namco Museum for GBA.
The games get way too old way too fast.
Tetris was far more exciting than all of those games put together.
that was one of my favourite games on PS
u press the kick button, 5 seconds later u closeline ur opponent…5 seconds later the announcer yells "el..bow!"
that is pretty bad
I could be worse. I could own Shaq-Fu.
I could be worse. I could own Shaq-Fu.
The game’s called Captain America & the Avengers. The "ghost like guy"’s not a ghost. He’s The Vision, an android, and that girl in purple is a guy. He’s called Hawkeye.
Gears of War
Mine is Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
Then again, it is awesome when you have the urge to kill 2,000 people.
Get it out ;-;
Mine is Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
It was all cool in the beginning, but things just started to carry on. Then it moved too slow for my taste and it just got boring after a while. And the multiplayer is garbage compared to other online games I’ve played. So yeah, definitely regret buying this game as one of the first games for my 360. I was playing DOA4 at the same time, then it was just DOA4 until I got Halo 3. In my honest opinion, I think it would’ve been a better movie than a game. If it was a movie (it definitely had that feel to it), then I would’ve ranked it wayyy up there on my favourite movie list.
My shit has better content.
I wouldn’t say it’s all crap, it does have a cool 4 player mini racing game
Don’t even get me started on that game. I still have that mediocre excuse for a video game. The reason I haven’t sold it is because I probably couldn’t get more than 3 dollars for it, and it’s entertaining when I fool my friends into thinking it’s a really fun game only to see their horrified facial expressions as they scroll through hours of endless dialogue.
MTV’s "Celebrity Death Match".
Here’s a little math problem.
Sluggish gameplay.
Limited & random controls. Emphasis on random.
So short, it’s not even worth the consideration of a rent. +
Not fun at all.
To be honest, I have no idea why I purchased this game. I believe I stumbled upon it in the $5 bin at Circuit City. And yes – it is horrible.
The worst game that I own would be Dark Cloud (PS2). Even though the 2nd one is one of my favs, the orginal completely sucked.
I hope you’re joking.
I take it back. FF II. I’d play Dirge over that ANYDAY.
Glad you took back that statement. At least Dirge of Cerberus offers gameplay – have you played Unlimited SaGa?
my uncle let me borrow god of war II for like 2 months and i never touched it. lol. so yah. there’s an example of why "finishing a game" is not a good reason for me to hate it or wahtever. gonna have to find other reasons. hmmm
the reasons behind celeb deathmatch remind me of the atrocity that is clayfighters. >.< but i never owned that. just rented.
i might come back to edit or repost, but off the top of my head i’d say my biggest regret of the games i’ve actually purchased and played inbetween my MMO marathons and was seriously dissapointed in was the last MK game to come out.
mostly because i did not know williams or whoever changed EVERYONE’S moves since MK4 which i hear was the last game to ever keep the same basic movesets.
D-F, LP no longer gives me an ice blast from my fav character ever. now it’s some wierd B+Triangle or whatever and the basic "HP,HK,LP,LK" are no longer in the same positions either. all this completely turned me off from MK for good. i didn’t know they did this. supposedly it started since DA but i didn’t fucking know and now i’m pissed. i refuse to relearn everything from the begining. especially for yet another crappy execution of what should have been an awesome "dream team" type of game.
they fucked it up with trilogy and they fucked it up with this one
i love that they are on the same wavelenght as the fans who yearn for some type of surreal dreamworld game where no real story is followed like this. to just have anyone and everyone packed in one ultimate game to have insane matches between unlikely opponents, but they can never pull it off.
so yah. no thanks. williams turns it’s back on a vet. i turn my back on them. fuck you williams. i’m going back to MK:II and ultimate 3.
But really, the game’s terrible. It’s now rotting somewhere in my basement, waiting until I forget how horrible it is. Waiting.
I win.
i thought bof4 was pretty great.
maybe you will respond in another four years.
Sonic the Hedgehog… Xbox 360 version… that game cost me $120, half for the game, half for a new controller after I threw the old one at the wall. Perfect example of a graphics-over-gameplay game, like Rise of the Robots for example.

Hehe, I literally played that game for 5 mins and never played it again. It was just horrible.
Now I think the worst game I own would probably be Wii Play…
horrible FPS is horrible.
but, then again, it was my first 3D FPS so i keep it for sentimental value
Must…make…money…wasted
back…somehow.
Just my opinion…. glad i bought it used for 12.99
Sonic Heroes was pretty bad, the glitchiest game ive ever played, you had to jump then slide across a pole to advance in the level, but sonic would just fall through the pole.
Army of Two was just boring, Burnout Revenges new style had flaws.
I generally sell games that i find bad.
Ta hell you been man? Who’s coming back next? Revaninja?
I think…
I don’t have a lot of really bad game.
I was very little back then so I didn’t know any better. :-\
Goddamnit Jeff, L2follow. I sold almost all of my PS3 games. I had a couple that were worse than MGS2. Shit, son…
๐
Ah what graphics!!
http://www.honestgamers.com/systems/game.php?game_id=4264&platform=Genesis&abr=GEN&gametitle=Task+Force+Harrier+EX
Ditto.
SNES- Spider-Man
N64- A Bugs Life
N64- Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
N64- Hey You, Pikachu!
N64- F1 Grand Prix
I really… don’t like any of those. And don’t know were a couple came from.
I agree. I have the Xbox version and it is absolute garbage. First person RPGs should die already.
This is the reason I sold my copy, but everyone who has played the game said you can change it to third person. I haven’t gotten my hands on another copy yet to play it but everyone I know who have played this game says you can change it.
Of course, if you want to talk about ways genres that don’t impress you can be improved, that’s another matter altogether, and one I whole-heartedly support.
Morrowind was great. Here’s the downfall: when Bethesda put the game out, they made 2 major errors:
1. They did a piss-poor job on the face models. I mean, the world models were outstanding, and the face models were equally bad.
2. They did really, really bad animation on the characters, especially when it came to the 3rd person view.
The rest of the game was awesome. I liked Morrowind and for the most part, Oblivion as much as the non FPRGS.
Either it’s that Robin Hood which I was randomly given one day or then it’s those damned harry potters which I bought 7-10 years old or then Porsche challenge ๐
You actually own Shaq-Fu?
Yep..I got it from a buddy..along with a ton of other really bad super nintendo games
crappy rare game…………………not really
Seriously, FMV games?
DEAR GOD IT WAS HORRIBLE. The ‘Need for Speed’ title got tacked on in the hope it would sell. HOPE, I say. THE most terrible racing game EVER. All the cars floated off the ground (Like really badly), the front wheels didn’t turn at all and I didn’t know what the hell was happening in the race.
I was considering ‘giving’ it to a friend, but I’m not a heartless bastard so I threw it in the bin.
I bet you have never touched Arcana on the SNES.
crappy rare game…………………not really
They should have been outlawed..for crimes against humanity
PS2 – Syphon Filter The Omega Strain
an ugly unplayable turd
ARCANA FOR THE WIN!
favorite FPS rpg EVER.
oh, my new worst game is E.T. for the atari 2600.
now i own the two games that caused the crash of 1983.
I remembered that I used to play that particular game a long time ago (between 1997 & 1999).=) One of my many cousins (from my stepfarther’s side of the family) used to own it on ‘Sega Genesis’.=) Evidently, it was one of the worst games ever made (even though I haven’t played it many times during that particular time period).:-(
LOL, yeah, me, too.
My worst game ever owned had to be a boy and his blob on the nes, oh, no, I rented that one..
Damn, lemme think…
Yack, I have Rise of the Robots as well. It’s a good thing I haven’t played it yet.
I’ve got some pretty cooky Gameboy games, too. u_u
Chaos Legion for the Ps2 is aweful.
I also disliike Unlimited Saga, but I’ve got a feeling that I could get into it if I played it for more than 15 minutes..

if you dont like your GB games, would you consider donating them to me?
im trying to amass the largest game collection (or at least a big one) to build a museum of videogames
All other fuxxed-up games I sold or ate up or whattheheckeverIdidwithit…
Gundam: Crossfire: It’s not THE worst, but this game could’ve been SO much better than it was.
Extermination on PS2: A Sci-Fi made-for-TV survival horror game…and it’s so cheesy to hear the dialogue.
LOL holy crap someone else has actually played Po’ed. My friend lost his copy, i used to play it on his ps1 and lol at the walking asses that shot balls of shit at you(correct me if I’m wrong with that because that’s what they looked like)
I want that game, i don’t know why. I have a thing for retarded games and wanting to own them lol.
My worst game that i still own would probably be the DS version of MySims.
Its a fail version Animal Crossing and the only EA game ive found that actually sucks a fair bit.
Not only did it "kill" Interplay, but it also has so much good going for it that I had it.
I mean, this game could have been "Resident 4" before R4 was even announced.
Cock sucking mother fuckers…GRRRR
"Grab your Ballz and run."
Worst slogan ever
Real Time Conflict: Shogun Empires
Worst game I own – Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land
seems like a post-apacolyptic Elder Scrolls Oblivion and i put that down after 20hours or so.
This game does not have a plot. The buttons do nothing. R1 moves the camera forward. And the game resets after a few minutes.
Gameplay is in the first person and consists primarily of the player exploring vast stretches of ocean, occasionally discovering underwater ruins or treasure, or fish which can be ‘spoken’ with. By building up a large reef, the player can attract a wide variety of fish. The game is complete when the player’s ‘fish meter’ is full.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquanaut‘s_Holiday
I own the game, and I have to wiki it to explain to you what is supposed to happen.
Worst game ever, moreso than Superman 64.
Not bad, per se, but it is, after all, a kids game.
Also, Men in Black for the GBA. It exclusively uses the built-in GBC hardware to make music, and it is terribly funny, some of the animations. Sometimes, I play it on an emulator (for big screen purposes) for my friends just to laugh at it.

Hahaha just another one of those random NES games that just shouldn’t have been released.
>B[ if you meant anything after Year of the Dragon.
Originally, I was gonna put down Space Station Silicon Valley, but then I realized that although the game itself was awesome, the programming was so faulty and crashed so randomly that it was almost not worth playing. Almost.
That said, I own Pac-Man Fever. Console me, FFS.
hydlide for NES.
spitfire heroes, tales of the RAF for DS (me, dislike an airplane game? you bet). the game is bad, but the difficulty is like "i dare you to finish me" type of hard.
turning point fall of liberty for 360, how can a game so publicized fail so hard? play it yourself and youll find out.
not a bad game per se, but iron aces, heroes of ww2 for the pc had the worst OST ever: 1 2 minute track that plays everywhere.
Whaaaat?? That game was fun as hell! The only me and a friend have about it was that it should have some kind of multiplayer.
i too didnt like it, i played the demo and im glad i did, saved me from buying it.
i had more fun falling to the streets than playing the actual demo.
plus fate is butt-ugly, if im gonna play a game with a female lead, she must be of my tastes.
Classic case of epic first game terrible sequel.
Star Wars Tetris? So you must stack Jawas & Ewoks, right?
Superman 64
Hercules 64 (made by the same guys as superman 64)
Reign of Fire (mother bought me this, I told her not to but she said it was only $5 and best of all, get this; she gave it to me 7 months after buying it so I couldn’t even return it.)
Godzilla on Supernintendo
You play it by moving a red dot representing Godzilla around a city map all the while taking heavy damage from tanks and missiles. Once you get to the monster the style changes into a more traditional fighter side view. You fight by slowly walking up to your enemy and punch him in the nose, after that you hold back on the d-pad to make Godzilla run backwards which activates a slot machine with Tail whip, Head Butt, Breath attack, & Hyper Beam. What ever attack that’s in the window at the time you press the A button is the attack Godzilla uses in an animation.
seems like a post-apacolyptic Elder Scrolls Oblivion and i put that down after 20hours or so.
I only gave it…
2 hours, but I did not return it!
As for Fallout 3, I have it, and I think it’s quite good. But the lack of any engrossing and dynamic narrative, and the extremely open gameplay style makes the experience kind of a grind.
I will get myself into it again at one point, but I haven’t touched the game in months now.
I also have FF7 for the PC & PS1.
I also have FF8 for the PC; one of the worst home console to PC ports I have EVER had to unfortunate plays.
And this is coming from someone who loves FF8.
I regret ever spending 20 bucks on it.

Why would you buy FF7 TWICE in 2 different formats if you hated it the first time?
First one was a gift that I had never opened due to not having an actual PS1 at the time.
I still have it sealed in the original plastic.
I first played the game on PC.
EDIT: I actually came to name my new worst game I own (because I sold GoW a loooong time ago). It is now Halo 3.
Nope.
Black.
Every FF game I own is not greatest hits.
a black label masterpece print error.
a black label with print error fixed
and the greatest hits version.
of course, i would sell the print error version for no less than 9000 dlls.
the discs themselvs are worth 15 for the 3 of them.
its the box thats expensive.
i would sell it… if my life depended on that.
Anyway, I have since had a new challenger to the dubious title of ‘worst game I own’ – in the form of Tokimeki Memorial II for the PSX/PS1.
Basically, for those who have never heard of it, it belongs to that quintessentially Japanese genre of dating simulators. What, in Promathia’s name, possessed me to bid on this thing on eBay?? Naturally, I was the only bidder, so I had to pay for it.
Although the graphics are in a nice anime style (if you’re into that sort of thing), the fact remains. It’s a dating simulator, where the objective is to have a girl fall in love with your faceless electronic avatar. However, the game is entirely in Japanese, so unless you’re fluent in Kanji, the game is completely unplayable as it is. Then there’s the bizarre minigames you have to do to ‘win’ the heart of some generic anime girl. Lammmme…
Needless to say, despite having a PSX with a mod chip I refuse to play it at all. So now, INXS MMV has a companion at the darkened, dusty rear of my game cupboard..
lol. I still love it.

you clearly were not made to play GAL (my favorite genre) games.
really, what WERE you thinking when bidding for it?.
i dont know japanese, but owning the second part of THE ultrasholyshit sacred mother of all gal games is a huge honor to the holder.
i envy you so fucking much.
give it to me, it will be loved with me, love which you lack.
I liked it but out of the 7 games I own, it’s the worst.
This is like when you said you have 1 toy :p
This is like when you said you have 1 toy :p
It’s possible that there have been other games that were rented or borrowed.
This is like when you said you have 1 toy :p
Yes, 7 games. I am not a collector. Most games I purchase I end up selling. The games I own are…
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (not going to sell it)
Lux-Pain (currently on sale on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/shops/storefront/index.html?ie=UTF8&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&sellerID=AXVPOFLT2QIPM))
Mario & Luigi: Bower’s Inside Story (currently playing)
Puzzler Collection (which I use in case I’m in between games)
Chrono Cross (nostalgic reasons)
Shadow of Destiny (nostalgic reasons)
Silent Hill 2 (nostalgic reasons)
The only thing I used to collect were comics which now I’m trying to get rid of as well.
Then, she retired, inevitably, and we got this new woman. She had ideals that people shouldn’t hold on to things, but it wasn’t particularly Buddhist in nature, it was more just annoying in nature :p
I’m all for someone having those ideals, I think there is something almost zen and stoic about it. The problem comes when someone starts getting rid of other people’s stuff!
That new secretary kept throwing out stuff from the office that belonged to professors and fortunately I left. The way one of the professors kept looking at her everytime something was missing was priceless. This was right before I left for good, but I always wonder if he ended up having her fired or something worse ๐
got any hardcover marvel zombies?
No, nothing that recent.
1.Bragon Ball Z Budokai
2.Xenosaga
3.Terminator Dawn of Fate
4.Dragon Valor (for PSX)
I don’t know how anyone could call xenosaga one of the worst games ever made…:D
I mean hundreds and hundreds of hours went into making the story of the universe alone, so as to make the whole world believable. I thought they were great games with alot of thought put into the story ๐
100% agree I absolutely DESPISE Halo with a passion, worst shooter ever. They should just stop making FPS games in general and only come out with new Call of Duty’s and Gears of War every now and then, cuz those are the best ones and the two that have the greatest differences in gameplay. You just don’t get games as good as those two..
I have to say though the absolutely WORST game I have ever seen, even worse than some Sega CD FMV games, is RESISTANCE for PS3!!! What is this garbage?
I mean if this was on the ps2 I wouldn’t care so much and wouldn’t consider it so bad just average, but I mean jesus!! This was like one of the first shooters that came out for ps3 wasn’t it? And it was just garbage! The controls were garbage, the graphics were garbage, the multiplayer was garbage, EVERYTHING.
Me and my friend put Resistance in, played it for 10 minutes, blew our minds about how shitty the graphics/gameplay was, and we returned it to blockbuster THAT NIGHT right then to get something at least decent…
Prince of Persia 3D for the PC (That buggy, rushed, and incomplete 3D installment of the Prince of Persia series.)
Any Sports games. I’m talking, any of them. Doesn’t matter what console they were made for, or what developer made them. Overrated piece of junk games, that later are going for $0.99 to $3.99 at the most. If you want to have real fun with a sport, play it for real, because sports video games have never gone close to real sports.
Strike Force Bowling for the PS2 (Broken A.I, Boring players, and the forth. It’s your typical bowling game, but the worst out of all the bowling games made.)
I’m glad to be ridden of these games now, to never come back, my library of games are sharpening enough so that there’s not one bad one anymore.
A Jurassic Park game staring Warpath from X-Men?
Sega Saturn
Neon Genesis Evangelion (Impulse buy off of Ebay)
Neon Genesis Evangelion Iron Maiden (Same reason as above)
Neon Genesis Evangelion 2nd Impression (Same reason as above)
Sakura Wars 2 (Same reason as above)
Sega Dreamcast
Record of Lodoss War (I liked the anime. Thought the game was going to be good. It wasn’t.)
Sony PlayStation
Blazing Dragons (Ok, so all the voices in this game were provided by the cast of Monty Python… still, why did I buy it?)
Transformers Beast Wars (First game I ever bought on the PSX… I ask myself "Why?")
PlayStation 2
American Chopper (I love this series on Discovery Channel… but the game made me want to beat up the Teutuls with a shovel)
American Chopper 2: Full Throttle (Same reason as above)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (Impulse buy off of Ebay)
Neon Genesis Evangelion Iron Maiden (Same reason as above)
Neon Genesis Evangelion 2nd Impression (Same reason as above)
Those are the chose your own adventure style games right?
Record of Lodoss War (I liked the anime. Thought the game was going to be good. It wasn’t.)
Yeah this was terrible. I actually got it after reading a bunch of people praising it so I thought it was a safe purchase, only to find that 90% of the game consisted of standing still and tapping attack while swarms of enemies crumpled around me. If the game world was interesting I wouldn’t have cared, but I don’t remember there really being much of anything besides dungeons. I told people what was wrong with the game but I guess there’s an entire fairly popular genre built around marching through dungeons, standing still and tapping attack, so I learned my lesson.
Out of the games I have right now, the worst is probably Captain Tsubasa 4. The series is almost all presentation and that one is the ugliest with the worst sound, highest difficulty and it’s buggy.
:shakehead:
The first Neon Genesis Evangelion game is the same as the Nintendo 64 version.
The second, Neon Genesis Evangelion Iron Maiden, is a dating simulator game as it involves another girl being brought in for Shinji to decide between (There are three endings to the game, one with Mana (the new girl), Asuka and Kaji. Rei only plays a background role. On April 9 this year, this game was ported to the PlayStation Portable.
Neon Genesis Evangelion 2nd Impression I can’t really form a opinion of (Never played it), but a friend of mine says it’s somewhat of a retelling of the series as a whole.

Oh, ya, Mana. I think she’s one of the expanded universe characters that Mari is based off of. A Kaji ending, as in Kaji’s gay for Shinji ending?
Something like that. Bought it used for N64 for the heck of it (it was $2).
Aidyn Chronicles – The First Mage. Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkPYvGkI3TU) you can relive your pain.
:ohgod:
Awful game, don’t even know why I bought it.
the worst game I own now…
uh… well, there’s… Electroplankton, which isn’t much of a game, but it was something I just had to have…
I like, never do anything with it. but I wouldn’t get rid of it.
I guess that’d be it. I has FFX-2, but I like it enough. I’ve just been too lazy to play it ’cause I has to level up quite a bit before moving on.
Blazing Dragons (Ok, so all the voices in this game were provided by the cast of Monty Python… still, why did I buy it?)
Oh sad…I thought blazing dragons was really fun…I played it on saturn, but I imagine it was similar.
Ok, for me it would have to be:
Virtual Hydlide for Sega Saturn–just not a great game. Bad graphics, bad sound, bad gameplay, bad….wait, there was a story?

I vaguely remember a cartoon on Toon Disney called Blazing Dragons, do you think it’s the same thing?
Looks like it is. IMDB says (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0179556/) it aired on toon disney in the wee hours of the night in 2002. Created by the monty python guys…I want to see this cartoon now.
I’ve never really seen a Harry Potter game that looked good. I’ve always thought they looked really poorly put-together. Are any of them decent?
Not really, but the one with the cup has 3 player co-op and it’s hilarious throwing and dropping boulders and exploding cauldrons on each other, not a good game just it was entertaining for the few days or so.
THAT game is rediculously horrible in my opinion. You start with the controls, as if they wanted to translate a keyboard into a Playstation controller. You add in some pretty rough graphics (now I do give some forgiveness here, it is an OLD PSX game). You top it off with a basically non-existent storyline and rediculously long loading times, and you have my worst game in my library!
For some obscure reason (lazy) I can’t seem to get rid of it.
i prefer the ps1 version the first one that came out at least i understood that and enjoyed that however that was when i was about 11 lol
Why was i posting here, i love all my games, they’re so great! *shifts eyes to FFX-2
Here is what this game is: You control a hand.
That’s it.
I only bought it because it had high ratings on gamespot. Now I can’t find anybody that wants it…
I love giving gag gifts.
sold that shit after day 1!
Good god, FPS on consoles.
If we take away those, I’d say Star Fox Adventures. Just owning it for the sake of having the complete Star Fox series in my possession, but GOD is that game awful.
half to beat a stupid mini game to progress (very rerarted in my view)
I’ve never come across a good Harry Potter game.
If you tried this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QE6oozFB3E&feature=related) Voldemort is easy to beat.
This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Trap) is a 1000 times worse.
LAWL
*bother*
@ C3nt3rcor3, to quote Omega Supreme from a second season episode of Transformers Sarcasm, not appreciated.
Still… could be worse. A… acquaintance… I once had was nuts for one series of game by Koei. This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G1_Jockey_4) and the rest of that particular series.
But as far as the thread topic, I think I can honestly say the worst game I own is The Golden Compass on DS; totally slopped together and rushed. The PSP version is the shit, and my fiance and I thought it would be more similar, but these rushed DS versions are hit or miss and I’m not impressed.
God, that was my first PS1 game too. Not my 1st ever though.
Worst I ever had? Hmm…Sonic 3d Blast 5 on the Gameboy (a VERY bad pirate.)
