Anyway, one day there were some weird Swedish people or something who made the greatest FPS on the planet. It was called Halflife. Being the greatest FPS on the planet, it was naturally rather popular. Soon thereafter the codes to create modified copies of the game were released. The fans soon created more games some of which were sold, by Valve, to the general public. The fans brought us such titles as Halflife: Opposing Force. A fine additive inwhich you assume the role of one of the soldiers that you fought against in the original Halflife. They also came up with Team Fortress Classic, a massivly popular online only game with two opposing teams playing mostly capture the flag. They added another expansion with Blueshift, where you play as the security guard from the original Halflife, who sometimes helped your main character, but often times died in the original.
And lastly (although not really, because Blueshift was the latest one to come out.) they gave us Counter-Strike. As one naturally may believe, eventually playing one player of anything gets boring after awhile. In Counter-Strike you play as either a Terrorist (T)or a Counter-Terrorist(CT). The terrorist do nasty things like hold hostages in their possesion and bomb things. Their job is supposed to be planting the bomb and making sure the CTs don’t get the hostages. The CTs are there to defuse the bomb or to rescue the hostages. If the Ts kill all the CTs then they win. This is also true for the CTs as well, unless by the time the CTs kill everyone the bomb has been planted. If that happens they still have to defuse it. If the bomb goes off then the Ts win. If the Time runs out before the bomb goes off then the CTs win. If the hostages aren’t rescued before the time is up then the Ts win.
OK, now that I’ve explained all that, I’ll just get to the point. Have YOU ever played counter-strike? Did you like it? If you haven’t played it, why? You crappy, crappy person. And so on and so fourth.
Halflife 2 comes out in August I believe, plans are already in motion for Counter-Strike 2, using the extremely advanced graphics from Halflife 2.
For more info (info that’s correct) on Halflife stuff go here (http://www.planethalflife.com/)
Anyway, does anyone still play Counter-Strike? Because It might be interesting to play against one of the shriners.
So yeah, I have accuracy rating of about 15% most of the time, and one can usually find me at the bottom of the list on my team.
STEAM IS THE, THEE, MOST RETARDED PEICE OF FU****G PEICE OF GODDA** SH** ON THE PLANET. WHOEVER CREATED STEAM SHOULD BE BRUTALLY, I SAY BRUTALLY</I> BEATEN WITH A METAL BASE BALL BAT, THEN HE SHOULD BE CHOKED WITH IT, THE SON OF A B***H.
Anyway, that being said…yes, I love CS and I WOULD play online if I could. I’ve been playing for around a year or two so I’m not..uh..bad, I guess. A bit rusty, however though.
My only comment for anybody who hasn’t played it is this, do NOT look at the graphics, this game will make you forget about the dated graphics and really, who cares about graphics?? If you do your not a gamer lol, play the damn games for what they are not what they look like.
That being said I never got into CS because I just coudn’t stand playing over dail-up now that i have DSL i was going to go and start playing agian but then there was steam…. ๐ sigh ๐ ……I prefer call of duty and now battlefield vietnam both are very entertaing and have excellent gameplay although i would have to rate call of duty above BFV because it actually has a single player mode one that almost gets close to rivaling half-lifes and the gameplay is little better
The only thing that saved this game from me giving it a 1 out of 5 is the multiplayer mode, I have gone to HL Lan parties before and I have won them all, every time for the past 2 years. (Lan party=every Friday) The multiplayer mode isn’t a landmark or anything original because you still have the Basic team deathmatch and deathmatch modes, would have been nice to see a co-op mode though. Theres as far as I can tell NO CTF MP mode, which would have been really good to have. There’s so many things that I have negative to say about this game I don’t exactly know what all to say or where to start, nor do I want to.
But I have played a bit of Counter Strike here and there, pretty great job, considering that everyone and their mother’s have played it. Also considering that this is a game that everyone plays AND that your computer can most likely support it because of how old the actual engine is… grood job.
I’ve seen Counter Strike Source (The Source Engine is what Half Life 2 is on) and it looks EXTREMELY Beautiful. It’s not called Counter Strike 2, mostly because it’s just Counter Strike, running under the Source Engine.
In fact, I’ve heard that Half Life 1 will be redone under the Source Engine. True or not? Not sure but it would be nice to see how it would look like.
