There are two Guado Guardians in this battle. They each have the Auto-Potion ability. So, the easiest way to eliminate them would be to first, steal their potions, and then second, attack them with physical attacks. Since you take the potion from these two enemies, they will not have the ability to heal themselves after every time you attack them.
That takes care of the easy part, leaving Seymour alone, but not for long. He summons Anima, a huge beast which looks near impossible to defeat. However, this is easier than you first think. After a few turns of Anima being summoned, look in Yuna’s Summon menu. There will be a new, unnamed aeon: summon her. This brings about Shiva. While Anima boosts himself to raise his Overdrive, and attacks with Pain, have Shiva cast Blizzara on herself repeatedly to keep her HP level high. Also, by attacking herself, this raises Shiva’s Overdrive, so you are killing two birds with one stone. When her Overdrive maximizes, have Shiva cast Diamond Dust. This special attack will deal 9999 HP damage to Anima. After you hit Anima with Diamond Dust for the first time, just repeat the same process again. Cast Blizzara on Shiva, maximize her Overdrive, and cast it on Anima. This will defeat Anima with ease.
After you have taken Anima out of the battle, immediately dismiss Shiva the next opportunity you get to do so. Do not summon anymore aeons during this fight, because Seymour will destroy them!
Seymour begins his attacks by casting multi-spells at each party member. It would be a good idea to keep Yuna in your party at all times, as her Life ability will come as great help to you. It is a little difficult to keep characters alive in the late stage of this battle, so I strongly suggest you cast Haste on Yuna as soon as possible. Then, have Lulu cast Bio on Seymour, to poison him. After that, have Auron attack with Magic Break.
After you complete all this, the rest of the battle will be easy.
Seymour always attacked with his Multi-spells and got hit himself.
It was a veeery nice fight. No worries! XD
Or use Null-magic spells. They do work as well although youll have to recast them.
For Anima… well… O_o I defeated it with… luck… timing and healing my party.
"Lady Auron"
The only thing is, I don’t have Bio or Blizzera. I don’t have ANY ability spheres, and I can’t find any. (I know you get them in battles, but I haven’t had much luck) Plus, I have no potions, other than the ones I’ll steal from the guards.
Wow, you don’t have many items yet do you? If you don’t, then you should just run around for a while, fight enemies, earn gil, and learn new abilities on the sphere grid. From what you have told me, it may be difficult for you to win this battle, since you are very low on supplies. So, just go out there and get more.
Okay, I found O’aka and bought some high potions. But I still don’t have any Ability spheres, and I can’t seem to get any.
Ok, try this then:
Go back to Lake Macalania, and try to find these two enemies; Chimera, and Xiphos. These guys drop ability spears when you defeat them. That’s one way to find some.
Another is to buy some Ability Distillers from O’aka. Then, just use one on each enemy in a battle, and you will earn some Ability Spheres that way.
That should help you out a lot.
The funny part about this is when Semour says: I must have this new aeon…… (and I had used Ifrit instead of Shiva);)
Then at the end I used the ex-magics (ex-water, ex-fire….), so Seymour couldnt hit me too hard with his magical spells. One person had to hit him with his weapon and the other person had to heal my group. After a few rounds Seymour was dead then. 🙂
Note: the long road leading up the Seymour during the second time you fight him (is it called the Highbridge?) is a super excellent place to train. The robot monsters give you tons of AP, and you can often pick up Mega Pheonixes. A good idea is to train there untilo you have collected 20 mega pheonixes. you can use them to customise the ability Auto Pheonix in the customization menu, which is very good. By the time you collect 20 mega pheonixes there, you should be more then strong enough to kick seymours ass once again. Good Luck! P.S. keep using Tidus’s overdrive, with OD mode Slayer or Warrior!
So many people say anima is seymours mom, yet like, 2 posts later people are still confused.
