Favorite NES Track?

I’m pretty sure we all remember the Original NES with it’s 8-bit tracks and 5 instrument music (then again it could be more, not sure about that).

Which NES music track(s) do you like the most?

I have a bunch… so I’ll just list them off the top of my head, maybe I’ll get some samples. (And just for the sake of things, I’ll avoid the Japanese games such as Hanjuku Hero and all that junk… which had music done by Nobuo Uematsu btw)

Blaster Master – Boss Theme
Contra – Jungle Theme
Megaman 2 – Character Select
Megaman 2 – Wily Stages 3 and 4
Metroid – Kraid Theme
River City Ransom – Title Theme
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 – First Stage (Can’t get enough of that "Hey!" in the beginning)
Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out – That song dealie where Little Mac is down (given it’s a really short loop… then again, most of my fave tracks are short loops anyways)
Final Fight Mighty – First Stage
Arkanoid – That theme… after you beat the game?
Gradius 2 – First Stage Theme…. or was it Second Stage?
Karnov – First Stage

OKAY I’m done.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head, that I still hum from time to time, could recognize in any setting, and still love, is the original Mario bros song.

I use NESticle to play it nowadays.

My all-time favorite NES track is definately from Blaster Master. It’s the music to Level 7, as well as the Boss Theme. I also enjoy the Wily Boss Theme to Megaman II, which is still the best one yet.

I would say final fantasy I matoya because i heard it on my NES and bought the soundtrack because its so catchy!

Captain Tsubasa 2- that song that plays when time runs out. Also , the opening theme. Also, the song that plays before the matches.

Mother zero- opening theme and the school theme

Ikeike! Nekketsu Hockey bu – ending theme, plus most of the tracks near the end of the game

Crash and the Boys street challenge- opening theme

Double Dragon- the whole soundtrack

fuzzical fighter- Stage 4, but the whole soundtrack is really good.

I’d have to go with Bombman’s stage, from the ORIGINAL Mega Man. So f’ing catchy! That, or Dr. Wily Stage 1 from Mega Man 2.
