help needed with yunalesca

Ive played nearly every single final fantasy game an finshed all of them apart ff10. Ive tried countless times but i still cant beat the 3rd form of yunalesca, she keeps killin me with her mega death!!!!. Can ne1 tell me how i can defeat her!!!!!!

Ok, so you need help with the third form of Yunalesca? Here:

I think I know what your problem is. During the second form, Yunalesca will attack you with Hellbiter, which will Zombify your party. This may sound strange, but make sure that all your characters are inflicted with Zombie as Yunalesca changes to her third form.

When she does, cast Haste and Protect on the entire party. Still, do not remove the Zombie effect from your characters. Yunalesca will then use Mega-Death, but it will not kill any one of your characters as long as they are Zombified.

If Yunalesca casts Regen on a character inflicted with Zombie, simply use Dispel on him/her. It will negate the Regen, but will not get rid of Zombie.

Make sure that you boost your characters a bit more. Don’t worry I had the exact problem but the second time I defeated her. You just gotta make sure that your characters are well boosted and just keep attacking her!
You will get her in the end just takes some practice 🙂

Im not havin a go at ur idea it worked better than ne of my ideas its just ive my mate said the is a sword on besaid island that can bring characters back 2 life straight away does ne 1 know if its true???

No there isn’t. You can only get Armors with the Auto-Phoenix ability. This ability (when placed on a characters armor) makes that character use a phoenix down on a fallen comrade when they become KO’d. I reccomend following the advice that smokey gave you. If you still are having trouble train in the Zanarkand Ruins till Yuna learns "Holy". Yunalesca is weak against Holy magic and Holy rips off 9999. If you follow Smokey strategy though she shouldnt give you much trouble.

I had previously picked up some Zombie Armour on Mt. Gagazet when fighting Seymour. I had also found a ring for Yuna with Ribbon equipped, so it wasn’t all that hard. Just used my overdrives sparingly, and saved every aeon until Yunalesca’s final stage.

yeh Ive had zombie proof armour b4 but if any1 knows how 2 create blessed armour i will worship them 4 ever even if that means kissin feet

No you cannot get the sword that brings you back to life. But you can learn the ability *auto-life* this will automatically bring you back to life when you die. Also it is a good Idea to use armour that protects you from the stuff she casts on you…I hope that helps! Just PM me if your stuck again!

Are you saying you found Ribbon armour before fighting Yunalesca?

I sure am. Can’t remember how or where I found it, but I sure had it when I fought Yunalesca.

I don’t think you can find Ribbon armour before fighting Yunalesca, unless you’ve managed to defeat some Dark Aeons already or customise it.

so where do u get this ribbon from neway

You can only get the Ribbon ability if you’re playing the Internation version of the game. If you are you can put the ability on an armor with 99 Dark Matters (Man you really should be able to beat Yunalesca with out this)

You’d have to play an extreme amount of Blitzball or fight some monster creations and hope for a rare drop to even get Dark Matters. Its extremely difficult and time consuming to get before fighting Yunalesca.

Even if you have Ribbon, it won’t save you from Mega Death. Zombieproof and Deathproof is better. But you really don’t need any of these abilities.

If you kept your White Magic sphere, you can get Lulu or Yuna to learn Holy quickly.

Even better, if you already have Valefor’s Energy Blast and Yuna’s Nirvana, it will do more damage than Bahamut’s Megaflare.

You should save all your overdrives and Aeons’ overdrives for the second and third form.

I’d recommend using Bahamut’s, Ifrit’s and Ixion’s overdrive on the second form. The Use Valefor’s Energy Blast and Shiva’s overdrive on the third form. If you don’t have Enery Blast, save Bahamut for the third form.

If you ever feel like curing Zombie, use a Holy Water,

Use Rikku to mix some useful effects too.

Yunalesca can be easily beaten even if you don’t have any of those abilities.

Ive beaten her but some1 said he got a ribbon on gagazet

It’s impossible to find Ribbon armour.

I dont see whats the problem on beating Yunalesca…you have to use the zombie stats against her…use some overdrives and summons and there you have it 🙂

No it isn’t. How else could I have it? I have a armour called the "Holy Ring", with Break HP Limit and Ribbon.

I certainly didn’t find a ring and equip it with those attributes… so how else did I get it?

Ribbon armour can only be dropped by the Dark Aeons and Penance, or customised with 99 Dark Matters. It can never be found.

If you did have that armour before fighting Yunalesca then you either:[list=1]
Managed to obtain 99 Dark Matters
Defeated a Dark Aeon
[/list=1]But the only easy way to get Ribbon before fighting Yunalesca is using Zanmato.

I associated "found" with "dropped"… I didn’t really mean pick it up from a chest.

And I was wrong on when I got it, the dark aeons triggered something in my mind which made me remember I got it off Dark Valefor. Sorry for the false alarm there….
