…But which one is the best…?
I think that there are two:
TLOZ: A link to the Past (SNES)
TLOZ: Ocarina of Time (N64)
Any opinions…..?
And I would say that it is better than the majority of Final Fantasy games, including FFIV, FFVIII, FFIX, and FFX-2. OOT is definately better than these four FF’s, in my opinion.
But FF games will always feature more things that I can do rather than LoZ, even if it’s just the small little things. LoZ is a great series but it’s more active than FF.
There is no contest, that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the greatest Zelda game ever!
hahahahaha no.
Link to the Past is better than the rest. But that is my opinion, and I’m not arrogant enough to pass that off as the facts unlike some people .

that’s better o.O
You really can’t rate LoZ and FF, it’s like trying to rate Fabio and Pamala Anderson.
Fabio > Pamela Anderson
LoZ > FF
BLASPHEMY!!
Oh, and the very first Legend of Zelda was fun, the rest are just repetitions of the same damn story (Oh no, Ganon-variant is plaguing Hyrule! *Link shows up* *Link gathers items and completes a bunch of inane quests to end up with charged up Master Sword and Light/Silver Arrows so he can defeat the Ganon Variant* *Link fights Ganon, Link Wins, Peace temporarily restored until the next sequel, roll credits*) with minor differences in the control scheme and the occasional "upgrade" in graphics and music or the introduction of some "new and useful" weapon/item.
At least with the FF games they took the effort to give new character names and design different worlds for the recycled conflict to take place, not to mention actual character development–which Legend of Zelda is totally lacking.
So between the two, Final Fantasy wins, in my opinion.

Fabio was on the cover of the great NES game Iron Sword, so Fabio clearly rates above Pamala Anderson just because of that.
Lets see the best zelda game? Hmm, I’ll go with the second Zelda for the NES, you know, that 2D side scrolling one. http://www.zeldalegends.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13 oh yeah, best Zelda game ever. Or maybe I’ve just gone loony.
To answer the question I’m saying that FF is better than the Zelda series, the only two Zelda games to really get me hooked were A Link to the Past, and Link’s Awakening (I still stand by the 2D sidescroller as the best though). While most FF games, though not all, have kept me awake till sunrise.
But, Zelda is still a great series.
Oh? In your opinion? I forgot to mention that when I said "LoZ > FF", it was a fact. Not an opinion. So your opinion is incorrect.
They both offer various different things to gamers, although FFs tend to go deeper, and ensure more playtime than any Zelda.
Zelda, better than FF ? Well we are talking about two very different games, that’s for sure. Saying one is better the one, I can’t really, but I can sure say I’ve played the FF series a lot more, so yeah, I like it better.
Odin: Why not criticize the story of Tetris while you’re at it?
Believe me, if Tetris had a story I’d critique it.
But as it is… Oh well.
There both RPG’s obviusly.
They both have a hero.
They both involve ulitmate weapons (not as much for LoZ, but the master sword)
They both have a villain.
They involve enemies.
They involve quests.
There is magic on both (but in different formats).
And other stuff including elders, villages etc.
Above is my opinion on the statement that ToZ is different to FF, Just my opinion dont bite my head off.
LoZ: Ocarina of Time kicks ass.
