Well, Ivy can probably do the most damage in the hands of the right player.

I’d still rather play as Talim, though.

Ivy would whip(literally) all your bootys into shape! Yet I play as Xiangua(Can’t..spell..noo!)

I find that Mitsurugi can pretty much beat anyone, when you get him to do lots of combos and ‘flurries’ he’ll kill you very easily, and very quickly.

I’d say Ivy, not just for sheer damage but she’s my favorite/best player. =)

My understanding is that among the highest level of Soul Calibur 2 tournament competition, it is actually Necrid who is univerally regarded as the most powerful character. I’m told that he’s actually banned at a lot of tournaments.

While Link may not be the most powerful, I found him to be the easiest to score the KO with. So I will go with him.

Yeah it’s easy to talk when you’re 1000 miles away. I can picture it now, after I get two perfects on you in a row, you say something like "It’s only because I’m not used to the Gamecube controller." Yeah, I read that somewhere also. I can’t quite understand how he is so powerful though, as I seem to suck with him more than most characters. I can’t think of any moves of his that are especially cheap though 🙁

If you learn Necrid.. he’s completely unbalanced.. hence the banning.

In actuality, SC2 is one of the most well balanced fighters out there (excluding necrid).. you can play anyone and do well. Of course there are some better than others (Cervantes, Mitsurugi, Yoshimitsu, Ivy), but any character can win.

Hey. Merl is the one who uses the controller lines. Not me.

I talk shit even if I’m losing.

I wish we could play online or something, that would be awesome. I have no idea when Merl wants to take a trip down to Texas again.

Yeah I didn’t figure it would be any time soon/ever. I don’t think you even came with him last time I saw him (if I remember right) but that was over a year ago I believe.

DOA is supposed to go online soon, hopefully the next Soul Calibur will also 🙁

and Yeah, I remember Merl using those controller lines on Goldeneye, and Super Smash Bros when we played. He’s all like "Playstation controller is so much better! I could kick your ass if it was on Playstation. Sony please have sex with my bum."

Except I don’t think I’ve ever heard him use the word bum.

I read about the Necrid uberness once and tried to learn him. It didn’t work so well. HOWEVER, I got Cataclysm to work, which is a mid-range counter, and it sent the guy flying in the air and got rid of almost half their bar o_o;. I was like "wtf?" ^^.

Personally I’m a Nightmare fan, as should all Dino Comics fans be, as he has my favorite move (Stomping). 😡

Eh, I can’t imagine Nightmare being all like "My apocalyptic tenor has not been dispelled!".

Three Cheers for Diorama. You are very correct.

I would say yung sung and talim the are easy to control and when used with skill can be deadly thay can do a lot of combos.

Raphael! He’s Freaking Fast! (He’s A good charcter if you have
it on ps2 if you do my strategy is left or right while button mashing
triangle at the same time And hold the button left or right)

Cheapest character: Raphael. So fast that often you can beat others before they blink.

Strongest character: Nightmare. You can often pull off combos and keep him spinning round to stop the quicker characters from hitting him.

Personal favourite: Kilik. Get them in the air, juggle them, hit them from a distance with a big stick. 🙂 Often fun to fight so.

I need to play Soul Calibur 2 again. 🙁 Not having an opponent like at Uni is sad.

Yeah Rapheal is Kinda Cheap…..
