your most favourite summon among the series?

what was your favourite summon from FF1 to 10? i really liked knights of round 🙂 not just because it was so strong that killed the last 2 sephiroth bosses with 1 cast, animation of it was very cool imo. there were like 12 or 13 knights coming out and hitting the target pysically and magically. alexander is also a cool summon, and anima from FF10.. most bad ass summon ever i think. in looks and power both.

I’m afraid, i am too emotionally exhausted to reply to this – there are so many of these threads.

my fave is knights of the round too, but besides that it would probly be bahamut in ff10!

Shiva & Bahamut. i think they’re both really cool.

Shiva in FF10 only.. she was just awesome. and Then Bahamut and Anima. Loved them all. Bahamut Zero in FF7 was awesome 😀

Anyhow, I don’t know that I have a real favorite. . .

I liked Siren a lot in VIII.

Leviathan and Arc a lot in IX.

Ixion was my favorite in X.

Garuda is my favorite in XI.

lol no one said eden is cool :O well eden sucked imo. long as hell animation, and i am not even sure which side is eden’s face -_-;

Just because he’s the only summon cool enough to have a playable character named after him.

We got Cait Sith as Stray in FFVI though. :'(

My all time Favorite of the series would have to be Odin. He’s been in just about every FF, does great damage for when you get him, looks cool, and sometimes slices the enemy in two. It’s hard to top an instant kill.

My favourite summons were Shiva and Bahumut. They were so great. But then I did like the rest………..

FFX’s Magus Sisters. They were pretty sweet, and man did the animation look awesome.

Yojimbo, I like his attacks which are Daigoro, Kozuka, Wakizashi, Zanmato, I don’t like his randomness though (I pay him 1 gill)….

Ma fave summon is Choco/Mog, need I say more, it rocked.

Dunno how many times I have said that. 😀

One of my favorites would be Ark from FF9. I thought that ship transfomation thing was really cool. My other favorites would have to be Bahamut, Odin and Leviathan

Anima – wicked attack and looks.

Leviathan is always awesome!!

Sure, theres nothing wrong with this thread.

But it seems as though there are too many of these too often.
Repeating threads is all fine and dandy, but i like the MEANINGFUL threads.

But i am fighting a losing battle.

FFVI – Bahamut

FFVII – KoTR

FFVIII – Cactuar

FFIX – Leviathan

FFX – Bahamut

You still replied :p so lets say that when you reply to a redundant thread it makes it meaninful 😀

Okay, from what I know, the summon monsters didn’t appear until Final Fantasy 4, not 1.

But I digress…. all of the summons monsters are impressive and help out quite a bit, especially if you’re in a pinch. Thing is, I prefer FFVI’s summon style better than other FF’s. It FFVI, you could only summon the monster ONCE per battle, whilst in FF IV and V you could summon them whenver you wanted to (I’m pretty sure you could, however, I haven’t played my copies of them for ages, so I’m not too sure though.), and from FFVII onwards, it was the same. Summon them whenever you wanted. IMO, the summon monsters ended up becoming more of a crutch, so to speak, meaning some ended up depending on the summon monsters to help them continuously. In FFVI, after summoning the monster, you’re left to your character’s own strengths (and weaknesses) to see the battle through to the end.

Okay, okay, okay, enough of the sermon. Out of all of the Final Fantasy games, WITH summon monsters, I choose Diablos from FFVIII. Why? I guess because of it’s dark nature, how it appears and such, appeals to me.

But then again… that’s just MY opinion, yes?
