Saw that there is an option for a "TCP: Multiplayer game" on there. So does that mean I can Deathmatch someone on the internet in the old Doom wads?
If so, how difficult would it be to set up some matches, because I know there have to be at least two other people around here that have these games and probably know how to set something like that up.
It sucks, though. I mean honestly. Your computer can run FF11 – go out and buy Unreal Tournament if you want some good deathmatch <.<
My computer can run FFXI, but it can’t run it well. And I have Unreal Tournament 2003, but the multiplayer for that sucks on dial up. Plus the updates are too damn huge.
Get DoomConnector, there are still a handful of servers up and running with a good 100 + people on lol.
And where do we get this DoomConnector?
If so, I’m definitely in. ๐ Downloading the program so I can take it home and install it right now, as a matter of fact.
The Quake II thing they had was where you actually built up stats based on experience you gained in Deathmatches.
Like, after certain levels your stats for efficiency in different weapons would go up and they’d cause more damage than normal–it was like the ultimate Quake mod in that you gained different amounts of EXP based on the level of the players you killed. There was also an anti-camper bot running round on each of the servers, if you hung around in one spot too long, this invincible bot would spawn and hunt you until it killed you, and it’d keep hunting you until you left the server.
Man, that thing was awesome.
Also, I can’t see shit on some maps, which is probably part of the problem.
Heh, just got started playing some random servers to see how I fare–and have come to the conclusion that I suck outside the main game.

Try turning up the brightness bright eyes :-P. I am actually faring quite well and already got the hang of alot of maps ranking high on the score list. Ofcourse 5 years of Unreal Tournament do add up. ๐
