*Squall and Rinoa pull out of kiss*
"Rinoa…" *closes eyes, and takes deep breath* "The truth is… I love–"
"AHHHHHH!!!!!! Squall help me!" *Rinoa is being held hostage by what looks like a magic spell. She is levatating (SP?) away from Sqaull. THis can only mean one thing: evil is at it again…*
I wrote this; thought of it today while riding in the car… just wondered if a sequel would be fun.
Besides, Squall would never say "I love you" to Rinoa. I think they both know that they share a love for each other. She may say it to him, but I couldn’t envision Squall saying it to her. It was wrapped up nicely at the end, so let’s just leave it at that.
And, just because Rinoa could be pulled away by some mysterious force, wouldn’t appeal to me as a good enough reason to make a sequel.
Yes. A sequel to FFVIII would be a lot worse than a sequel to FFVII. And, we all know I don’t like the concept or idea behind Advent Children.
I’m not 100% confident about the story behind advent children either but i know i’m still going to want to see it

But that’s not the point. I will see it when it becomes available, but it’s the thought of the matter. When I first heard about AC, I was shocked and disappointed. I saw no reason for a sequel, and I didn’t think there was enough room left to tell more about the FFVII saga. I know AC has the potential to be a good movie, but it’s still the fact that it is the sequel.
Same goes for FFVIII. I would be shocked and disappointed if a sequel was confirmed, much for the same reasons as Advent Children.
And I think FF8 ended nicely enough, I wouldnt want to kill the entire story with a sequel. I just wouldnt imagine it, meaning, squall would go through a total character transformation… hmm. not good!
But I would prefer they don’t make a sequel for it.
i wouldnt want a sequel to FF8 cause if u played ff8 u might feel the same way i do cause i feel that the game was complete and there was nothing to add and it was done. i felt the same way about a sequel for ff7 but i dont control square. I agree with this fellow. FF8 came to a nice close. We weren’t left thinking "That’s it? and then what?!" or "What about [huge plot hole]??". As for FF7, I felt the same way. Sure there were some unanswered questions, but nothing out of the usual "I wonder what ever happened to them?" that isn’t a very uncommon thing to think after a game ends, really. In my opinion, Advent Children was just a way to bring in more money, since FF7 was, I believe, the highest grossing FF and a very popular game among the masses.
There are still sorcoress’ (Elone and Rinoa and probably more)
Actually I think there is a bunch they could do to make a second game. Did you think they were going to do an X-2? I really didn’t, but now that they have I’m thinking they’re gonna go back and do more with the older games.

I did. In fact, either most people believed a sequel was going to be made soon, or they wanted one.
Also, Square is already going back too much to the older games. Just leave them be.
Did you think they were going to do an X-2? I had passing thoughts of a blitzball game being released after ffx but that was it
something about a faction thats ocuppying towns and jailing ppl
and as squall and co are busting up one of there bases a teenager escapes using only a paper clip, steals a guards weapon, knocks the guards out (by throwing them at a cell and telling his buds in the cell to grab the guards)
gets every1 out gives them a weapon and meets up with squall and notices his SEED uniform and remarks on how he was a cadet who was visiting his hometown at the time he was captured
ULTIMACIA. THAT COULD BE THE SEQUAL, BUT EVERYBODY
WOULD BE DEAD I
THINK ?:(

Don’t think. You’re no good at it. Otherwise, you’d know how to turn the caps lock off.
I’m not opposed to a FFVIII sequel, but I’d hardly be enthused over it. It all depends on the quality of its execution. There’s enough material there to make a sequel, but it would take some serious work to actually justify it.

That would be cool!

I agree with you, the game closed up pretty nicely, so why not just leave it as it is? Anything else would just repeat itself over and over
why cant they leave old games alone and untouched instead of ruining their original quallity?!
