what a bad game.
There is a reason why no one really mentions it, as the less said the better! FFMQ is a terrible, terrible game. Period.
FFMQ was an admittedly brave but ultimately misguided attempt by Square USA to lure casual gamers into RPGs (mainly it was an attempt to boost lagging US sales of FFII on the SNES – the censored, dumbed-down US version of FFIV – but that’s another story). However, something went very, very wrong in the bunkers at Square USA’s then-Washington DC HQ, as the ‘casual gamers’ ended up with a watered down, piss-easy, sub-standard pile of excrement that was masquerading as a ‘FF game’, and which just wasn’t fun to play.
And to add further insult, for reasons I just cannot comprehend, it was also released in PAL territories as well, although mercifully, Nintendo changed the title to Mystic Quest Legend, thus sparing damage to the good FF name in European markets, although the game was still the same stinking pile of turd as the US game, but this time dressed up as something shiny. Oh, the irony.
I’m sorry if I offended any fans of FFMQ with that little tirade (and I know it has it’s loyal players), but I just don’t like the game. But that is just entirelly my own opinion of course.
my advice is to never play it if you havent already. it is retarded garbage that a little kid couldnt enjoy.
IT was a one off experiment and it doesnt count in the actual series from 1 onwards.
