it was actually pretty easy drawing her. a bright vibe really? but even though her name is dark magician girl, she’s actually good. shes called that because of the magic she casts: black magic like Lulu from FFX. also i didnt make her up though, she’s a character from Yu-Gi-Oh.

These are some of the pictures that you sent to me Ashley. They are really well blended together, considering that you are young and this good. 🙂

Your proportions are pretty good, although the focus disapears around the hands – if I were you, I’d try breaking the fingers up into little sections…

The artwork is fairly good over all, nice choice of colours etc, although the background doesn’t do it justice and the girl herself seems kind of flat. Maybe a little more shading would bring her to life a bit?

I don’t mean to seem critical of your work, or rather I do – but only in the most helpdul way possible. I quite like the picture, but it’s in my nature to seek out imperfections.

The lines going every which way takes attention away from the mage, who should be the main focus of it all.

Not that I can really say anything about this though. If you’ve seen my attempts at colouring, you’ll know how badly I mess up some times.

oh ok. i really only had colored pencils at the time except markers but those bleed right through the paper & make it curl up too.

I think that the effect might even have been slightly better if you’d left the background out entirely – mainly because the colours you used on the mage were light pastel shades – and a dark background doesn’t go extremely well with that.

I think colored pencils are a good choice. I really like the feel of drawing / coloring with them.

Hey, al bhed gal, I don’t want to be a critic, good or bad, and i think that pic of dmg was really good. i’m into yugioh, and i can draw (though not as good as my friend Corey LOL) and I’ve drawn dmg before. The colors were slighly off, and the body was off a little. the rest, except the cape and hair, was fine. Great work on your newest pic! 😀
