Who was your favourite performer?
Mine would have to be Marilyn Manson when he came to Australia in 1999 on the Big Day Out tour. It was bitchin’
<3
I’ve seen both of U2’s elevation concerts (U2 go home was pure, raw, unbridled Bono – it was great), and just the feel of the crowd through the TV makes me salivate at the thought of seeing them live.
I’m kinda cut that I missed out on seeing Evanescence when they were out here – I thought that they wouldn’t be too good live, but after seeing their DVD, I was wrong ;_;
U_U
Their last two nearby concerts were 21+ and 18+, respectively.
Stupid bars. :'(
DC Talk are awesome. My fiancee would kill for a chance to go to one of their concerts – Jesus Freak is one of her favourite songs.
This will all change when my HSC is over. Big Day Out, Homebake and any good concert coming my way – I have a lot of catching up to do.
And Bigfoot – Big Day Out is highly overrated, i’ve heard. Too many hardcores running about 🙁
Radiohead were the best band definitley, following closely by Sonic Youth and Mudhoney, and Feeder last….there not that good to be honest.
And yeah, it might be disappointing, but hell, seeing System of a Down and the Beastie Boys will just be an experience, not to mention a few other good bands. There’s still the 2nd round of announcements to be made.
i didnt get to see the spice girls once because i refused to do the dishes ;_;
In Flames in los angeles was the most fun.
…Tool Were Definately the best
– Christina Aguilera, which was predictable but she’s got a fine pair of bellows on her.
– The Black Eyed Peas, twice, not usually my kind of thing but they’re fantastic live, great performers.
– Bowling For Soup, which was godawful shite.
– Jesse James, a bunch of times, they’re fantastic. <3
I’d probably go to see BEP again, just cause their concerts are super-fun. I’m also a big supporter of local talent, I’ve been to countless local gigs and my favourite local band is Mirno who I love and am sorry I won’t be seeing much of since I moved away from home/

you deny the soulfull music the Backstreet Boys and own up to Hanson. . .
anyways, haven’t even made it to a shitty club show, but one day. . .I will rise above!
I also seen Evanescence play because Finger Eleven were opening for them and I like Finger Eleven.This might of been one of the few times I’ve been tempted, for the same reasons as TGNWT.
I also used to get a lot of free concert tickets through my friend’s dad, so I’ve seen a lot of bands/artists I don’t even care for- Korn, Nickleback, Nelly Furtado, just to name a few. I suppose I just have a hard time turning down a free show. =/
At any rate, my favorites? My favorite show of all time is probably the ALL show in which I got to meet Milo Aukerman at the pre-show (he was playing roadie). Apart from hugging Milo, the show was spectacular- the token Descendants cover was Coolidge, and they closed with a cover of Rebel Yell. After we made it out to the car, we turned on the radio, and Rebel Yell happened to be playing. Doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re on a concert high, those sort of things become a lot more awesome.
I also had a ton of fun when I saw The Buisness. There’s this club in Detroit called The Shelter. It’s in the basement of another club called St. Andrew’s Hall. The Suicide Machines happened to be playing upstairs, and Mickey Fitz thought it would be fun to try to work his songs into the Suicides Machines songs. As he got drunker, the songs got sillier and sillier. Also, my friend got to sing on "Drinking and Driving".
Ben Folds has been consistently spectacular live. I wish I’d gotten to see him tour with Tori Amos- it’s a little dream of mine to watch them have a piano duel.
