ok, lol, i stumbled on to this while jacking around on ff7. if you get Vincent to lvl 99 and have 130 vit. equip him with a lvl 4 odin, a lvl 4 choco/mog and a lvl 4 restore and see what happens….. and guess what happens

7777 hp ^^. yep thats right, i got a 7777 hp dude. now he can lucky 7 the final bosses and wepaons ^^. neet trick huh? this configuration only works with Vincent i tryed it with everyone else and it was a no go.

Wow, you are the only person I know who actually discovered a way to get 7777 without chance. Good job. Are you invincible when you get 7777s?

I dont get why vitality has anything to do with it… maybe I dont know how the stats affect HP. I thought HP was HP and materia took away a certain % no matter what level it was at.

You can figure out the formula to make your character’s HP 7777 if you are good in Mathematics,

Actually there is the formula in Square’s official guide book, but when I looked at it I didn’t understand how to cause I was about 12 years old.

But at level 99, any decent attackers would be doing 9999 damage so in my view, you’re REDUCING the amount of damage that your characters are capable of doing with the lucky 777 thing.

but he attacks 77 times, doing more damage totaled. I actually got Cloud and Barret to do it at the same time on Emerald Wpn.

my method of getting lucky 7’s is to just get in a battle with a group of enemies and just let them attack you and if one character gets a health of anything ending in 77 (i.ei.: 2677) then you can use potions and hi-potions to make that characters health up to 7777.

And lucky 7’s make the character attack 7777 64 times not 77 times, also If two character use lucky sevens at once then they’ll still only do 64 attacks between them (taking it in turns to attack)

I had the 7777 HP ones on one of my members. All it does, this person keeps hitting the enemy. But I didn’t really like it, because I couldn’t control this character anymore. And for the damage this one did, well, it was not worth it. I’m not going for it anymore. I can do more damage, if I do it my way. 🙁

I have 9999 HP for everyone, and I had Emerald Wpn do Aire Tam Storm on me. He lost 2222 and whooped it.

I have Vincent at 99, putting those materia on him gets him really close to 7777s but not exactly.

I like the Emerald Weapon with two materia equipped idea. Maybe thers a way to work with that.

I dont think the point is that its so powerful (getting 7777s), I think its just cool and hard to do, so its fun.

OK, I just figured this out…

Clouds MP at level 99 is 877 in my game. (I think this is constant??)

1. Make sure his MP is 877/877.
2. Equip HP<>MP materia.
3. Unequip HP<>MP materia.
4. Feed him hi-potions and potions until his HP gets to 7777.

There you go, a formula to get Cloud to Lucky 7777s outside of battle. When I figure it out for other characters I’ll let you know.

i think vit adds a small amout to your hp, not too sure though. clouds mp in mine is maxed

7777 X 64 = 497,728 damage (without even using up any characters goes, or without the enemy getting the chance to attack you)
How can you do more damage "your way?"

Here’s a technique that will work no matter what the level of your characters (granted their HP goes over 7777.)

What you do is go in the forest around Mideel and find monsters called headhunters. Then, kill all of them except for one and then manipulate the remaining one. Have it keep attacking until the last two digits of someones HP are 77 and then of course use potions and hi-potions to get them to where you want them. And also, to those who say it’s not powerful, if you go into the battle with Emerald Weapon with Lucky 7’s on you will take off approx. half of his HP before he can do anything.
