This is my first post ever and seeing as whenever i join a forum I stick to the art section ^^

Here’s an old OLD pic I did long ago inspired by FF7

And my character that alot of my friends say reminds them of a FF influences art which is recently new.

^^ It’s been a while since I came, truth be I haven’t got the time to and also I sort of forgot with school and my project for my site.

my female character, she the main villian in my project. Honestly she’s sort of an old character, but her role had always beeen a villian, never a hero.

Yeah, I did this a while back, but because I’m packing for a move I endedup packing the rest of my painting supplies,…and I can’t find them. ^_^;

Well, since I’m mostly poor all the time ^^; I just buy the regular water colors, that are pretty cheap ((cause I’m poor)), but not ones that are use for kids….ano, I think I need to find the set I use cause my memory really suck. ^^;

all ur creations are really great, i wish i could draw like that, i like the black and white one back there because i always had a thing for black aqnd white drawings, (mainly because i’m a sucky-ass colourer) but good job and keep up the good work

Thank you, though it is pretty old…..hmmm, about 3 years old to be exact. Back then detail was a BIG thing for me.

I think the only thing really seperating it from the more recent work you’ve posted to any decent degree is that the backgrounds(non-graphic) are pretty simplistic(though they are unfinished) and don’t mesh well with the finer look of the characters.

I agree, but at the time, I wanted to detail the certain backgrounds with sceentone, while others I wanted the characters to pop…..but, eh.

Here, are some roughs, for my school final….lot of animating to do, but here’s the two sides.

I think from my mom, but mostly self taught, with many criticisms from my friends ^_^

good stuff. your cg skills are awesome and your sketches have improved a great deal too.

if i must be critical i’d say you need to give a little more detail to the hair(though it looks fine in some of the cg’s – dark hair dude in SMGaurdian.jpg and red hair women in /ebr_WalkinBattlefieldsm.jpg for example). the hair often looks dull, and the only way to make it look better is to add a lot more detail(which is very time consuming, i find). but if you look at some of the best cg’s or authentic anime, they have amazingly detailed hair…

I agree with you about the hair, but I’m always lack for time so, I learned to keep the hair simple. Saves so much time. But at the moment I’m trying to keep this simple for manga work and school.
Also, currently, my animation techer has preached several time that when your animating the detail in the hair can go last, and that it shouldn’t be to detailed so the animation isn’t clutered up.
I find that anime series, the hair isn’t too detailed if not at all, a few movies have well detailed hair, but anime series/ movie differ from cg work, it’s just ll in the coloring.

I guess it’s been a while, truth is my computer caught a virus and wiped out all my work that was digital. All five years of work. T_____________T
So now I was offered and artist table at artist alley in AnimeVegas and I don’t have anything……guess I’m back to the begining, and I’m gonna have to stick to traditional for a while. However, due to me moving, all my pens and paints have been packed, and it seems that some of them I lost as well…..damn.
Well, I hope to be back as soon as I get something done, but I’m not sure how.

Should I keep my art a secret until I reach artist alley so I can sell prints?
Or should I do some crop images of my work as teasers?

Either way, I’m still uploading all my programs and I’m not even half way to how much I usally have. Well, wish me luck!!! ^_^

Been a real long time since i came back, after the whole virus crap, got down, but now I’ve gotten better.

This test will should be simple for your kind of people, it will simply ask you to draw in B&W a character, and you will have the character’s details with you, then I will choose the best!

Of course, if you actually happen to do me this big favour, it won’t be for free. I will be willing to pay you �15 for each final character concept/art*, and I need about 10 sketches, so that�s �150.

* This fee is for the final character concept/art, which excludes the test sketch and rejected sketches.

Well, I entered the test and missed the deadlines, =3 hahaha, kinda relieved though cause I’ve got so much school work and to prepare for a convention. ^-^ Well, here’s what I turned in.

I entered that aswell. Both my drawings got 10/10 from the judges but I got a 4 point penalty for using colour in the Edea pic and only came second. I think if you entered on time you might have won(your Edea pic is alot cooler than mine).

Well it’s good to be back ^_^ been busy with another move I had to go through and then my computer simply had no internet connection and damn school went and killed me with a test that feel like they are coming every week. Well, my art site is down due to…..so may issues so no I just have my deviantart account. Which also is new.

Well, here’s a new pic that I did for the convention I went to and had my first artist alley ^_^ YAY! Very fun!

This is Link, I did this for the AnimeVegas game tournament. There are several mistakes, but I don’t care blah blah blah. I did this in a such a rush during the con that i wasn’t thinking and didn’t know until my photo’s got back ^_^ HAH! Man do I feel stooopid!!!!

Your art style really varies a lot, doesn’t it? My favorite would have to be the one on the top. The facial structures look a little off on the two in the middle, however. But still, all are very nice.

hee, your right it does. I’m still trying out a style that’s more to my liking, but because i go to school as an animator i have to keep my style ‘formless’ so that I’m capable of working with groups….does tha make sense? However, when I look at my own art it always feels like the same style and that it needs to change to be unique, but for what ever reason my art, in my eyes, do look the same even when I’m drawing realism. But that might just be cause i drew them.

I don’t think I’m saying anything that anyone else hasn’t said, but creating takes a lot perseverance and determination. Keep at it and you’ll get there, and draw other styles too to maintain your flexiblity, because if you can draw art styles from Spongebob to Ghost in the Shell, people are gonna want to hire you.
