But your sorta on the right lines.

The #1 complaint everyone had was that there was no way of skipping the summoning animations.

1.Grandidi Forest(like a chocobo holy area)

4. A secret portal that is only uncovered once you enter from within it, found when looking for the Ragnarok after time compresssion.

Hint: Seifer tells the name of the list during the time when he’s interrogating Squall, the same time that he reveals that Squall is on it.

Actually, I’m positive Zell isn’t on it. If you remember, Seifer says, "Didn’t think you’d talk that easily. You’re on my ‘tough nut to crack’ list." Later, he says, "If you don’t talk, others will… or that chicken-wuss. He wouldn’t last 3 seconds!" If you don’t know who’s a chicken-wuss, it’s Zell. He directly implies that Zell isn’t on the list here.

The Ruby Dragons have a Breath attack that can take away large amounts of HP if you’re not protected from Fire. Cast Meltdown and have Squall unleash his Renzokuken. If they drop an Inferno Fang, use it on Quistis so she can learn Fire Breath. Using GF Tonberry’s Level Down ability also helps.

After defeating the first one, re-examine the core and select the 2nd option for another fight with a Ruby Dragon. You’ll begin this one with your backs turned, so be careful. If you’re lucky, Odin will step in to help. Examine the panel again and pick the invisible 3rd option.

BOSS >> BAHAMUT
HP: 65,000 Weakness: Blind Strength: Poison, Thunder, Wind
AP: 40 Draw: Flare, Curaga, Full-life, Dispel

Strategy: Bahamut has a pretty high offensive rating and if you take too long to defeat him, his Mega Flare will take away roughly 4,000 HP from everyone. Minimize damage with Protect and Shell. Bahamut is weak against Blind. Cast Meltdown and use Aura on Squall to prompt his Renzokuken.

Once defeated, you’ll acquire GF Bahamut, plus his card. Leave the Research Center and talk to everyone (especially Zell) once you’re back on the Ragnarok. If you like, head to the nearest town (Winhill) to stock up on items, spells, save and re-organize your party (bring Zell along for the next part).
After you’ve spoken with everyone in the cockpit of the Ragnarok, re-enter the building. Use the Save Point next to the large hole in the ground where the blue core used to be. Descend the vine inside the hole. You’ll face a plethora of powerful enemies here. Should you choose to fight them, Tonberry’s Level Down ability will be helpful, along with Quistis’ Degenerator. Most of the enemies are weak against Sleep, so use it often.

At the bottom, use the Dispel DP then examine the heap of metal in the lower left corner. Choose to have the computer explain the procedure for opening doors. You’ll learn that you need to distribute power units efficiently to access the lower levels. Spend 4 units now and use the hatch in the floor to go down to the next level.

Once there, examine the terminal in front of the stairs. Spend 2 units of power to open another floor hatch and descend. On this floor, examine the terminal on the right and use 1 unit of power to open another hatch. [If Zell is in your party, you can ignore the computer on the left, which opens a door on the left.] Go down to the next level and use 1 unit of power on the computer there. Do the same thing on the next level then step on the floor plate to descend to Level 6.

When you reach the bottom floor, examine the machine in the center of the room. Choose to have Zell take a look at it (2nd option). Enter the gate on the left and move forward until you reach a Save Point. Use a Triple DP along the way and continue winding down until you get to the very bottom of the island. Use Siren’s Move-Find ability to locate a hidden Save Point then examine the red computer panel on the right.

HP: 100,000 Weakness: ? Strength: Earth
AP: 100 Draw: Regen, Dispel, Ultima, GF Eden

Strategy: Draw GF Eden from it right away. Apart from having a ridiculously high offensive rating, the Ultima Weapon’s Light Pillar attack can take away 9,999 HP from a single member, so keep those Phoenix Downs at the ready. When it’s not using Light Pillar, the Ultima Weapon uses Gravija, Quake, and Meteor. Cast Meltdown on it, followed by Aura on Squall so that he can unleash his Renzokuken. Have your remaining members act as healers and if you can spare a few turns, draw some Ultima spells from the boss.

Also, you mentioned how difficult the enemies are on the way to the gate…wtf the enemies are piss-weak there compared to once Zell opens the gate and you’re going down the path towards Ultima! You’ll need really strong party members to fight all the enemies, especially the ruby dragons that are on that path, yet you summarise it in two lines 😛

Also, i was making the point that the guy who made the guide used the ‘Zell in your party’ way in his guide, so i was just saying that he should’ve put it up the top before entering the research center.

First you will need to get your average party level somewhere between lv20-29 and fight T-Rexaurs to get the Dragon Fangs (they only drop them at these levels and I think they’re the only enemy on disc 1 to drop them).

You’ll then need to get to over lv30 and get an Adamantine from the Adamantoises on the beach near Dollet.

In the second Laguna sequence (assuming you’re already lv30) fight in the screen with the staircase and get an Elastoid every second battle (they’re pretty rare anywhere else if I remember) and mug to get Laser Cannons. You’ll need 3 of these to refine into 5 Pulse Ammo each with Ammo-RF and you need 12 total for the weapon.

Then you’ll need a bit of money too, 2000 is it? Or 1200… can’t remember the amount. But you’ll have that anyway. :p

And if this is anywhere near right I’ll be amazed because I haven’t played this game in years.

What would Aura do to most enemies? The only thing I can recall it doing is getting Raijin to use "Raijin Special" and getting that robot at the end of the prison place use Gaitling Gun.

I just was wondering how if every enemy in the game (including bosses and such because they’re also "anything") could have Aura cast on them, how there could be a special move each of them uses when in has it, since Aura on allies doesn’t really affect stats, it helps them use certain abilities.

Same with Aura when Raijin uses it on himself, as does that robot in the prison. I guess Agent’s answer makes sense that it boosts stats of most enemies rather than help them use a move. The above two actually use it themselves, so it makes sense that it would help them use a move, and there may be more enemies like that.

I know its not so much a status magic, makes vit = 0, i seem to remember that it worked on all enemies and bosses after u can draw it..

There are two tracks on the OST whose titles are names of locations in the game. However, there is one other location in the game they play which isn’t the one in the title. What are the two and what are the other locations they’re at?

Like for example, say there was a track called "Timber", and aside from being played there, it also was in Galbadia Garden (completely fictitious example, there isn’t even such a track). But that’s the general idea. Two tracks with location-names, and places they’re played which aren’t said locations.

Yes the name of the song must include the location it is first played, like the ones you listed would be good candidates for the ones I’m looking for. If everyone’s invincible there, I find it hard to believe they’d still survive Zantetsuken since it’s connected with the timer.

There are 5 total for player controlled characters and 6 for computer controlled enemies (the same five as the players’ plus another one).

As you get the obvious ones, I will give you hints as to how I classified them.

First of all, are the five player ones the same as 5/6 of the enemy ones? Or you don’t want to tell me, that’s alright.

Okay, obvious ones:

Pros:
-Immune to death (both)
-Immune to "The End" (enemies, unless that’s the same as Death but it isn’t really)

Cons:
-Can’t be cured.
-This might not be one, I forget if this was the case here or in IX or in both, where if you’re KOed, revival spells and Phoenix Downs won’t work until you take away the status.
-Regen becomes Poison.

I don’t know..

Regen, Phoenix Down, and all of that I put under the category "curative" because they are all very obvious once you think on the level of raising the HP of another player.

Two of the remaining "enemies" are enemies that any skill-level player can defeat. These enemies do not attack you. These two enemies are also related…very closely. They are not a main part of the storyline (i.e. found in a sidequest).

The third enemy becomes an ally (of sorts) after a point in the game (meaning that the enemy was once a foe, but later is not).

I was actually looking in the Brady Games guide myself which I have, and it has the Sorceresses not as bosses… hmm, alright then. But it’s not Tonberry King you say?
In that case it’s not any of the GFs because that’s the only one that you randomly encounter rather than have a fixed encounter like with Cactuar, and… as for the fake ones, let’s see, you don’t encounter MiniMog, you don’t encounter any kind of Chocobo in battle in FF8, and you don’t see Moombas battle. None of the people in this game ever pull a Yuffie, either. Odin is a set boss, and you don’t fight Gilgamesh. Oh, and you never fight Phoenix either.
Angelo is an ally too, but he doesn’t fight for the other team ever either.

What element is Blobra weak against, and how much more damage the element does?
There are 3 correct answers.

It’s weak against Fire, Blizzard and Thunder though not at the same time. I think it’s random in which element it will be weak against each time. As for the other part for the question I’m not sure how to define it. I believe that if your physical attacks do close to 50-60 damage the attack from one of the (right) element will do damage close to 300-400.

Also is it certain that the elements are only three? I thought that Blobra was weak against any element at random.

Also, the level range would be nice.

Melti has part of the whole question right, they can indeed be randomly weak to any element at higher levels.

At the beginning of the game, if you check the tutorial/info console, the Library Committee reports that what two books are overdue (I’m looking for the exact names), and who has them checked out?

I know it’s over now, but I remember for the last question it’s something like:
Lv 1-19: Weak against one of Fire, Ice or Lightning
Lv 20-29: Weak against one of Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind or Earth
Lv 30+: Weak against anyone element
Exception: MD Level – always weak against Fire there.

I don’t know the multiplier but it’s something like 5x the amount of an element it’s not weak against… or about 2x the normal damage to any other enemy. Though they’re not exactly comparable anyway…
