Ok… I just wanted to make sure that I remember everything before Advent Children comes out.
My basic overview (that I remember) is:
Cloud was born, left Nibelhelm to join SOLDIER. He didn’t join SOLDIER, but then he was picked by Hojo to have Jenova cells injected into him. That made him be able to be controlled by Seperoth (sp?). Then, he threw Sep. into the Mako Reactor in Nibelhelm. Years passed (7 if I remember correctly) Then Cloud got picked up by AVALANCH (sp). They left Midgar. They then went on a bunch of stuff to actually FIND Sep. After they found him, ShinRa fired a big gun at the crater, that made that little barrier thing go away. The team then descended into the crater and fought and defeated Sep.
Anything I missed?
Yeah and turns out Cloud wasn’t the father, Red XIII was. >:O
What about Aerith’s death? The weapons? The death of Rufus?

Cloud was actually an ordinary soldier, one of the two in uniform along with Zack and Sephy. The first time around, Cloud is the one with the Buster Sword, and not in uniform. The second time around, Zack is the one with the Buster Sword and Cloud is in uniform. Up at the reactor, Cloud goes in to see what was happening(I think) and ends up seeing Tifa get stabbed by Sephy, as well as Zack. Cloud takes the Buster Sword from Zack, and goes into the JENOVA chamber to fight Sephy.
Make sense?
Cloud was a regular soldier and he went in the mission to the reactor in Nibelheim with Zack, who was the real 1st Class Soldier, and Sephiroth. Then all that crap happened, Sephiroth was thought dead, Zack and Cloud were used in Mako experiments. They escaped and were on their way to Midgar, while Zack said they’d become mercenaries for a living and such. Cloud was more fucked up than a woman married to a gay guy and could only listen.
Outside Midgar they were found by Shinra soldiers and Zack was shot dead. They let Cloud go because he was messed up and wasn’t a threat. Cloud regained whatever little conscience he had, picked up Zack’s sword and entered Midgar, where he found Tifa. Probably due to the experiments, he took over Zack’s life and pretended that whatever had happened to Zack were events of his own life. That’s why he says he was a 1st Class Soldier. Tifa played along using the lame excuse that she was afraid that if Cloud knew the truth, he would go away.
At least that’s what I got from it.

bugenhagen didn’t know every damn thing and that’s exactly why he couldn’t save the Earth from meteor by his self. I imagine Red XIII(he had a mother) found another of his kind through his adventures with Cloud n Nem….
