It was all downhill from there.
But what still keeps me liking the game is the memories it brings me. Hell, I was a kid when I first played it and life is usually easier when you’re a kid. Playing VII, with not a care in the world, makes me like the game, but not for the game, know what I mean?
Not to say I dislike it but I realize it could’ve been better. Sephiroth is not as cool as I thought he was back then, the characters aren’t so great, the storyline could use some work. Those are things I now know could’ve been improved. Nevertheless, VII will always give me fond memories and that’s enough for me to like it.
The rabid fans still piss me off though. Should be all shot.
FFVII fanboys/girls.
🙂
Also, i said and will always say, the young FFVII obessives make me dislike it. I only have a problem when someone plays it nowadays for the first time, having prior knowledge that "it`s the greatest games ever!!!". That just over hypes it beyond belief.
But i love it, and always will.
I alway remeber seeing my friend playing it for the first time, the reactor. I could only wonder what else would happen in the game, 3 cd’s was a lot back then… But when we finally saw the world map after about 20 hours play I suddenly realised the scale of the thing, and the story, characters, music and gameplay (albeit lesser than the rest) were spot on.
It wowed my because it was my first Proper RPG bit experience.
