And Mystic Quest! Man, that game makes me moist…
…cuz I play it for hours you sickos!!
And Legends, don’t get me stared on Legends!!
Discuss!
But seriously.. Im not sure about Crystal Chronicals, but mystic quest was pretty bad IMO. I dont think I even bothered getting past the intro…
You’re indeed right. The less said about that terrible Yank-made abomination FF Mystic Quest the better.
As for FF Crystal Chrionciles, it had the potential to be a great game, but was unfortunately let down by some of the worst controls I’ve ever experienced in an RPG. The main problem was having to cycle through menus during battle in order to use a spell/item etc. Now, this would have worked quite well, if Square Enix had used Nintendo’s trick with Zelda and allowed you to pause the game in order to select menu items. But nooo..
Instead, you have to use the shoulder button to select and highlight items in the menus right in the middle of the action, meaning you could accidentally use a spell or item you were trying to save whilst attempting to just physically attack that goblin who wants to bury it’s sword in your chest. Oh, and did I mention the target lock system was absolutely frustrating?
Which is a shame, as the graphics were absoultely beautiful to behold, and the plot, although somewhat slow to get going, was actually quite sad and depressing, especially when you get to the town whose crystal chalice had broken, which cause the town to fall to the deadly miasma and the resulting monsters. It wasn’t a bad game, but it is essentially unplayable on account of the controls.
So you’ll forgive me if I spend more time playing Tales of Symphonia for my Gamecube RPG fix…
Or maybe I just need to grasp FFCC’s finer points a little better…
Yes,please do. From what I played of it its nothing compared to the rest of the FFs.
Or maybe I just need to grasp FFCC’s finer points a little better…
And you’re talking about bad controls? ToS was alright with controls, but what kinda game has 2-D characters in a 3-D real time fight? It’s so hard to actually gauge where you are on the screen. Frustrations galore!
Actually Squaresoft bought out Sunsoft and made the game their own, then put the Final Fantasy title on it because they didn’t think it would sell. They wouldn’t have been the first company to do that, either.
I can’t wait for a sequel!!!
As for Crystal Chronicles, yea, it could have been better. And maybe it will be easier when it comes to the Nintendo DS…maybe…
But my favorite FF game is Chocobo Dungeon. Remember how popular that was? my friend was like "hey come look at all this cool stuff I got for cloud" and I was like "Cloud who?" and he was like "are you frickin crazy!" and I was like "you can take your cloud and shove it. I’m playin’ Chocobo!" Now how many of you remember saying that to your friends? What you haven’t? well I guess you were lucky and didn’t have that one friend who played FF7 while you and your cool friends were having good times with chocobo. Man, Mike was suck a loser…
…’Torro, out…
Is it just me or does it seem like this guy is out of his mind?
I myself am a CC fan but it is by far NOT the best Final Fantasy!
At this point I find myself wondering if you have played any Final Fantasy games apart from Crystal Chronicles and Mystic Quest?
CC is not the traditional type of FF game that so many of us all know and love and MQ is just so god damn easy!
if CC had better controls, it would be like a cheap Star Ocean…
And yes,yes it is. =)
Yes, majorly sucking the sweet teet that is MQ. Only I and a few other have ever sucked this teet, because we are the who realize the greatness of MQ. You are all welcome to suck this greatness with me, once you realize this. Open your eyes.
ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!
