So it took me all summer to get up to the point where I was at, and that was the point where you obtain the airship.
After reading the strategy guide, it tells me that i needed to obtain EVERY secret item from the six temples of Yevon in order to acquire Anima. I believe I missed one secret item in one of the temples, by pure accident (I ran into the wrong place…)
I would HATE to start my game over again.
My question is, is it impossible to acquire Anima if you haven’t got the secret items from the temples? And, if i haven’t got all of the secret items, is there a way that I can go back and get them ???
Not too sure on the Djose one, but there is no way back into Bevelle temple, no way.But don’t worry you have to use the special sphere to complete the Trial.900 posts!!
– Yes, you may sometimes run into Dark Aeons going back to the temples, but that’s only for those playing the International version of the game. Those playing any other version don’t have to worry about it.
– About the Bevelle temple — yes, you do have to use the Destruction Sphere there, but the thing is — you obtain the Destruction treasure automatically. There is no way to miss it, you will always get it and so you can never be screwed out of getting Anima. Some people think that the Lance for Kimahri is the Destruction treasure, but it’s not — the Destruction treasure is the one in the chest blocking the path out that you have to open to get by.
And now for the biggest thing, and the thing that will be of help to polluted_minds:
Yes, you have it exactly right. The reason you’re being chased out of Djose Temple is that the soldiers at the Temples still consider Yuna to be a traitor. You need to head over and take care of the Highbridge stuff (don’t worry, it won’t hold you up too long). Shelinda will declare Yuna’s being a traitor to be a false rumor, the news will spread out and you’ll be allowed in the Temples once again. You can then redo all of the Trials — if you’re hardcore, you may want to go back and redo all of them (except Bevelle, of course, because you can’t) because you get bonus Spheres for revisiting each one and recompleting the Trials.

or I’ll have a look later.

Yeah I’m sure Jewel means it that way. wait, if you were following the guide, wouldn’t you have got the destruction sphere and everyhing?
I haven’t followed no guide…just checked it when i was really stuck
You dont, the same thing happened to me, i forgot one. One is on fire, one has ice around it, one looks like lightning, while the others are damn hard to tell apart. Make sure you can tell you have those 3, if so, you can go to the other 3 and play through them. Just write the ones you got down, so you have a list for the future.
boba…so this wont work?

Sure, for the people that know the names of the Temples. Trying a different approach to the same info, like
"One other you might check is see if you have you have the Destruction treasures that you would have attained from those areas. They’re generally not unique items, but if you have them, it might help a little."
Of course you’re free to waste your time just guessing away and completing trials that don’t need completing.
Shit…I checked the layout you gave me…im only missing the middle-left and middle-right statues to light up. According to your layout those would be Macalania and Djose Temples. So I went and did the Cloiyster of Trials once again..finished and got to the chambers…all the treasure chests were opened already and nothing in there…
I went to Baaj Temples again…still nothing happened…what may be missing???? pls help
I need to go back to all temples again? (except bevelle)
Happy Birthday by the way.
1. Do you see 3 spears with Fire, Ice, and Lightning around them? If so mark those 3 temples off.
2. The first one on the left im 100% positive it is from the first temple. I know because i forgot that one, and had to go back. Check those 4 and let me know.
well, as for the spears I’ll have to check….
but if the first one on the left is the first temple then jewels may be wrong cause it corresponds to Zanarkand and that is not the first temple you visit right?
You’re meant to use the Destruction Sphere to obtain the hidden treasure in the cloister; you don’t simply complete the trial and go to the fayth chamber, that’s not the way it works.
The "first one on the left" could either mean Besaid (the first one you visit) or Zanarkand. It depends on what angle you look at it. Remember, the list I posted is when Tidus is facing forward, away from the screen.
TARGAT, if the middle statues are not lighting up for you, then you’re missing the treasures from Djose and Macalania. Remember to find and use the Destruction Sphere in each temple, and get the resulting treasure.
I suggest looking at the "Aeon FAQ" at GameFAQs (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/197344.html). Search for "4.3 – Djose" and "4.4 – Macalania".
I know what you meant, but I was directing my post towards TARGAT and boba. I’m talking about gaining Anima.
Thanks agent0042, jewels, boba and all for your help, i was actually missing the treasures from Macalania and Djose.
I have anima now and the thanksfully i had the Blossom Crown and the Flower Scepter to unlock the Magus Sisters!,
THNKS again.
I FORGOT to open the one in the first temple, and when i try to go in some people block me and summon some aeon but in dark colour it kill me in one hit what can i do >.<

Yeah, as said you have the version that us unlucky guys got.
Dark Valefor is an Aeon that is very ver difficult.
The Official Walkthrough I have, states that you need your stats well into their 3 figures. This, amazingly isn’t an exaggeration. Dark Valefor generally does attacks well into 5-figure damage. Its Energy Blast technique, can actually do up to 99,999 damage. Thats why, if you want to thoroughly fight it, you’ll need HP levels of at least 20,000 (which is obtainable by maxing out the Sphere Grid). This takes a long, A LONG time to do, seriously. Best places to Max out are Sin and Omega Ruins. You may have come across Double/Triple AP weapons for your characters.
You could probably beat Dark Valefor with Yojimbo though. Make sure you have alot fo money though — a friend of mine however, pain him 50,000 gil and he exucted Zanmato, killing Dark Valefor off.
Note: Every boss has Zanmato resistance, 1-4. Valefors is Level 4, so you could reload your game, repeatedly. ๐

Why don’t you fuck off — trolling about a thread just to harass someone about how they post and not adding anything that has anything to do with the topic?
Oh, and yes, what Rapture said is absolutely right. You’re (cloud_tidus) really gonna need to train to take down Dark Valefor, unless you’re able to get Zanmato. Sounds like you might need to spend some major time at the Coliseum in the Calm Lands.
Every monster has broken the damage limit and the HP Limit, in some cases, they have Billions!
Take Cactuar King, for instance – It has an attack called 99,999 needles!
Just do what you can, if you’re that bothered about Anima anyway. You don’t need him to complete the game y’know but for completion methods and all!
