FFVII for PS3

Okay, so I don’t know if this has already been posted, but I don’t really care. All I know is that I’ve never seen this before.

So here’s how it goes: At a Sony conference, a FFVII Tech Demo made an appearance for PS3. It includes a remastered version of the intro CGI movie, in which the characters look human for a change. The question on everyone’s lips, though, is whether or not this means that the FFVII game itself will be remastered to work on next year’s PS3? If so, that would be awesome!

Also, to further show that this may be out for PS3, I ran across this (http://www.ps3portal.com/?view=gamepage&game=78) , which says that the director of FFVII stated that a FF game is in the making for PS3.

Yes and they wont even comment on whether FFXIII is the PS3 FF talked about!
They said that the tech demo will not be any indication to FFVII being remastered

They also said that the tech demo was mangled together within a month and a half so really, and as they even noted, FFVII tech demo doesnt even show anything on the ps3 capabilities

If square were to remake it they would not make a half assed tech demo to release so early, they would have a far more advanced and polished work before even hinting anything to the public

believe it when it is officialy stated – the only damn certainty in the Video game market (and still that gets stuffed up)

In other words, FFVII will not be re-made for the PS3, It was only made as Demo to show how powerful the PS3 actually is.

Well unfortunatly i can`t find the link. Although that does bring down my credibilty i will say that i`ve seen and read an interview where Yoshinori Kitase talks about how development on a PS3 FFVII isn`t even in it`s minor stages. Although, i will say, he did say that they would "consider it due to the almost feverish need for a remake".

I’d just say that, it’d be good if it’s true. But not so important since I can mentally see the image of Advent Children playing behind my eyes whenever I play FF7 right now. Muahaha.

Tetsuya Nomura, in an interview with 1up, expressed an interest in taking the FF7 tech demo and making it into a full product.

Graphics definitely weren’t FFVII’s only flaw. There are plenty of things that FFVII’s remake could include that weren’t in the original, such as tying up all the loose ends it left. Also, do you have any idea how your spelling kills your credibility? I’m pretty sure the word "good" has at least a few vowels in it.

Saying that they are going to remake FF 7 just because they did a tech demo is the same mistake people made whne Square release a 3D FF 6 demo for the N64. After that, people were saying that FF6 was going to be remade in 3D for the N64. So… It looks like the same mistake is being made again.

thnx to Tidus 66’s link (which drew me away from the beliggerent FFfanatics for a moment..) it is only clearer that a FFVII remake would appeal to a great deal of fans..and that new FF’s (just X and X-2 tho..sappy..romantic..no mission orientation whatsoever..with no clear targeted consumer in mind besides well-off lonesome college-goers..) are subject to a declining audience for it is the escape from reality we seek..and FFVII feeds that need the most while simplifying and glorifying the current state of our reality..consumed with greed but granted certain wisdom..and FF6 remake for N64? 6 is the beginning of the industrial age..VII combines the suffering of many with the continuing growth of the complacent commonwealth..

Well, who here wants a remake? I for one, do. Final Fantasy VII has been the most popular of all the Final Fantasies. Even though it might take another 5-20 years, it’s inevitable that they will remake because it has stuck on so many people’s hearts, more importantly: some of the developers. (AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW)
