Jeez, GG4ever, I was guessing in my original post. If SquareEnix is aware of the site, knows what’s being done here, and if Sarah is in full compliance with their removal requests, then what’s the problem? Galbadia Hotel allows us poor non-Japan-living peons to be able to enjoy music we otherwise could never really get ahold of. It’s tremendous. I nearly wept when I first found the site, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Music is a powerful key to some old childhood memories playing these games. God bless our access to it!

And honestly, either way, the links to other sites for the music in question are on the forums anyhow, so it really doesn’t matter if GH hosts them or not. Sheesh. There’s no fight here left.

I’ve repeated multiple times that’s not why they were removed.

however SE found out about the tracks, it still means that they are aware of the tracks being online and would have done something about it themselves if they had a problem.

tbh, they probably dont mind too much considering how many games dont get released in places like the UK. if i was a SE employee, i wouldnt mind soundtracks being online as alot of people might hear the tracks who wouldnt normally get the chance, and then go out and buy the game.

Most of the soundtracks that they wanted removed are ones you can buy (in the US) throught the iTunes Music Store. (Search ‘final fantasy’ in the iTMS and you’ll see ^_^). They want people to buy them, and if they’re available to download for free people won’t do that.

I belong to a Lita Ford site and they got a message stating they had FFX2 footage with a lita ford song playing in the background they were warned to take it down. I e-mailed the webmaster and told them not to take it down it’s probably someone posing as Square Enix to get some attention The Video is still up and the site is still running.
