Where does ffxii rank on ur list

I havent been ffxii (about 25hrs in, i figure im around half way done) anyways how good is this game in your mind compared to the other FFs? I think the fighting style is way better then the old way, and I also like how everybody can be w/e type of character you want. The only part that is sorta weak for me right now is the plot/characters. Seems like there isnt much character interaction compared to the other FFs, it could pick up tho in the last half or so of the game tho.

So far, for me this has been the best FF yet.

i thought X-2 was alright but a little too girly for me

This question has plagued my mind into submission before. I couldn’t say any Final Fantasy was better than another because these games are all great and revolutionary to the RPG genre. But if i had to list them out; minus FFXI cause its not really in the same catagory:

Yeah.. FFXII is number one on my list as well. VII and Tactics are a close second and for third and fourth? VI and IV. 🙂

actually the typical ff takes me around 50-60hrs only. ffx being the exeption with 70hrs but i spent a ton of time on blitzball.

In previous ffs i didnt spend that much time lvling up (maybe 5 hrs a game). FFxii will be an exception because the combat is so much more fun.

ahh well i dunno about that, but i like to lvl up and do side stuff alot to get everything out of it

In my heart, FFXII defeated FFX with +8 damage using the Traveler technick.

So my new favorite now is actually FFXII, although FFX still has a special place in my heart. <3

actually im not sure which i like more VII or XII cuz i played VII like 100 times, it was that good.. but i havent finished this one and of course VII is older so the graphics are not as good but its a great game

ya i didnt really like X-2 either i mean ya it has a whole lotta ass in that game but the story line just had sumthin about it

FFVII has, to me, the best ability upgrade system yet (license board is good, but MATERIA is unbeatable) I mean, weapons that have linked slots so you can discover materia combos? Perfect. AP farming so you can have that master Knights of the Round? and get another free? Uberperfect.

exactly!!! which is why i still love VII i mean i even played it again right before this game came out even tho i was playing Halo2 on xbox live because i wanted to experience it again (that was like my 100th time beating it) but square enix should make their version of VII, i dont mean changing alot of things mostly just the graphics, and any minor things that wouldnt take away from the square soft version. it would please me and alot of people i think

Matsuno is gone, so a true FFT will never happen again, all sequels will likely be like FFTA which Matsuno wasn’t involved with either. 🙁

This game was his last major contribution to S-E, so you better savour it.

Towards the bottom for me. I could not play this game more than once. Well, maybe more than once if I really had the inclination to, but unfortunately once the novelty of SPARKLINESS wore off (which happened pretty quickly), all I wanted to do was play it once just to say I did.

It had no charisma, and Vaan and company could easily fade back into the ranks of "what’s-his-name-again?" characters for me.

Now I’m going to sell it back to the store. 😛

Right now I must say Final Fantasy XII is at the top of my list, following Final Fantasy Tactics (Playstation) and then Final Fantasy III (SNES) / VI (Playstation).

I’d hate to rank FFXII before I finish it, but with 30 hours of gameplay I’ll just rank it to what I’ve seen so far.
