There is no real point to this post, I just wanted to say how frustrated I am. Although if anyone has any tips on how to get past either of these scenarios, they would be much appretiated.
Forgot what that part with El Gigante is about and how to get by it easier but as for the ‘fort’ holding and the Chainsaw Weilding Ganados you simply have to be frugal with your ammo yes, and also just go for the head, every time, until they stop. When they squirm and moan on the ground is when they’re finally dead, not when they just trip back and collapse.
Have some fun with the shooting range when you get to it. Builds confidence and you get some nifty bottle caps of characters and enemies with sparky quotes – Ada Wong(in red dress): Leon Now!
part where the zombies (not really zombies, but what else am I gonna call ’em?) Virus-injected-parasitic-cannabalistic-mutants…yeah.
Then I had to run back to get Ashley from inside the dumpster (the second one you see. I was back at the first one, as I had to keep running away while I reloded). Then I realised there were more zombies (or virus-injected-parasitic-cannabalistic mutants) so I started running back to get some ammo from the dude in the previous area (I had found some money, and a ruby to sell) to get some ammo to kill them.
I love this game.
Now Im gonna see what happens next…

Sounds cool, do they give you unlimited ammo for it or do you have to use your own ammo?
don’t forget that they’re Spanish, which makes them all the more angry at the world =P
if you really want to get through the game using minimal ammo…when you go to shoot them, aim first at the chest so they don’t cover their faces and wait for them to group together
when they do…shoot the closest one and do the suplex, since it offers invincibility frames for its entire duration and takes the people from aggressive to passive for a few seconds…allowing you to escape
remember to only kill all of the villagers when it’s necessary to advance to the next area, while the game is generous with ammunition…it’s also easy to run out if you forget to keep an eye on your inventory

Suplex? How do you do that? The only move i know how to do is kick.
i didnt find RE4 THAT hard to be quite honest.
I don’t think its incredibly hard, I just generally suck at most games (although Im usually good at games I dont like, wierd isn’t it). Plus I was stuck on that one part. I think I’m finding it kinda hard because, as z.zetsumei pointed out, I try to kill every zombie ( or villager, or virus-injected-parasitic-cannabalistic-mutant).
Btw, Im at the castle now. This game rocks, I hope I either get stuck again or complete it before next thursday, ‘cos thats when Twilight Pricess comes out.
there’s actually three special attacks that Leon can do:
SPECIAL HIGH ATTACK: ROUNDHOUSE KICK
This is the same kick Leon uses in the main game.
SPECIAL LOW ATTACK: THRUST KICK (LOS GANADOS ONLY)
Leon does a forward thrust kick that makes the enemy fly back.
SPECIAL LOW ATTACK: SUPLEX (CASTLE ZEALOTS AND SOLDIERS ONLY)
This is self-explanatory. Leon grabs the enemy and does an overhead
Suplex (sometimes smashing the enemies’ head in one go).

Didn’t know about that aim chest first, then shoot head stuff. The fight with normal Krauser gets pretty good too as far as combos.

Um, the game takes place in Spain.
Also, the Handcannon is fun! A bitch to upgrade, but since it’s a .50 cal., you know you’re gonna be having fun with that!
lol
actually…it is a suplex…
to do a suplex you grab your opponent with your shoulder planted against his/her midsection, then you proceed to lift him/her off the ground with your legs while bending backwards to send his/her head into the ground ^^
i did a paper in high school about the differences between different types of wrestling
oh…for anyone that finished Assignment Ada:
did you guys find that the Chicago Typewriter broke the game horribly?
i mean…the power of the Handcannon in a fully automatic weapon with unlimited ammunition?! (not to mention the fact that it’s extremely easy to attain)
The Chicago Typewriter is hilarious. People generally use the infinite guns to see how fast they can get through the game. I’m eventually going to see if I can get an even faster run, but for now whenever I put the game in it it’s to play Mercenaries.

OMG Hunk owns in Mercenaries mode…Neckbreak = invincible frames
I also liked the BGM when you played as him for some reason.
Hardest part of the game i thought was the krauser multi fight, easy way to get past that fight and save a shit load of ammo is, at the start when the door locks, run straight to the hut and climb up the ladders, when krauser comes to hunt you down jump down the ladder, when he jumps down climb up, keep doin that until the door unlocks. He cant touch you when climbing ladders. Instead of fighting him after that at the points where you would normally, just run all the way to where you get the first part of the crest thing. After that you will have to fight him as normal but the ammount of ammo and herbs/first aid spray you save will make a difference in the last part of the fight.
Also, I thought Krauser was fun to play as too, especially when his arm is glowing and there’s a bunch of people in front of you. I change my mind, I think Krauser was the funnest to play.
