Square pusher is less a true ‘time-tested’ musician than a mere novelty artist. I don’t think this type of thing is what should be on someone’s list. But to each his own.
Neutral Milk Hotel – In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
Belle & Sebastian – If You’re Feeling Sinister
John Cale – Paris 1919
and the other frankly i have no idea, i cannot choose, i am really bad at any sort of favourite albums game

Of all the Metallica albums, you pick Re-Load? LUCY YOU HAVE SOME SPLAINING TO DO.
reload is most fond to my heart, because it is the first metallica album I ever heard…
Metallica: "And Justice For All"- The first "Metal" album I bought.
Nine Inch Nails: "The Downward Spiral"- The first "Angst" album I bought.
Kate Bush: "The Dreaming"- My first fully-realized musical crush, just based on appearances and talent.
Soundtrack: "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night"- My longest sought album I bought. (Must’ve looked for that one for about two years, until I found it at a local Anime convention. Understand, this was YEARS before I found out about this site. Heh!)

Same here on Justice, and hell yeah, Symphony of the Night is bad ass.

Fair enough.
Spock’s Beard – Snow (just an incredible prog rock epic album…)
Enchant – Juggling 9 or Dropping 10 (a prog metal/rock/fusion hybrid band. Fucking incredible)
Metallica – Master of Puppets (cemented my love for metal music)
Opeth – Deliverance (my first exposure to the incredible Progressive Death Metal monsters from Sweden. Incredible…)
Honorable Mentions:
Thrice – The Illusion of Safety
Nine Inch Nails – The Downward Spiral
Helloween – The Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt. II
Blue October – History For Sale
Less Than Jake – Borders & Boundaries
Its Sweden.
Tristanias Beyond the Veil album, as it introduced me to a more gothic type of metal.
Pink Floyds Wish You Were Here. No Explanation needed. Its just good.
Iron Maidens Rock in Rio album. They’re an excellent live band and this CD has alot of their good songs on it.
Draconian has two albums I started listening to at the same time. Where Lovers Mourn and The Burning Halo. I just added these because its my most recent love.
It was hard narrowing this down to 5, well, 6.
Wrong thread, see "top 5 albums not even worthy of being toilet paper."
ITS OBVIOUSLY LIEK THE MOST INFULENTIAL ALBUM EVER :O
A Tribe Called Quest – The Low End Theory ()
Metallica – Master Of Puppets (ignited my love for thrash metal)
Necrophagist – Onset Of Putrefaction (my introduction to technical death metal)
Boyz II Men – II (listened to this 24/7 as a kid)
Failure – Fantastic Planet
Hum – Downward Is Heavenward
Slowdive – Souvlaki (with all the bonus tracks)
Porcupine Tree – The Sky Moves Sideways or Deadwing. Can’t decide right now.
I thought Deadwing was average at best, nowhere near In Absentia or Lightbulb Sun in terms of creativity and lyrics, though lyrics have never been a strong point for Steven Wilson, some of his lyrics are embarrasingly bad.
Nightrage – Sweet Vengeance
Savatage – Hall of the Mountain King
John Coltrane – Giant Steps
In Flames – The Jester Race/Black Ash Inheritance
Just current, not of-all-time.
The Ataris–So Long, Astoria
Green Day–Nimrod
My Chemical Romance–I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love
Our Lady Peace–Clumsy
The Ataris–Blue Skies, Broken Hearts…Next 12 Exits
If you’d like to flame MCR in specific, join me over at the MCR thread, where I am currently fending off a flurry of attacks. 😛
