Thanks, i just bought the boxsets last week and this anime reminds me why i like those early 90s series, there’s something about the dialogue, characters and stories that newer series seem to sometimes miss. PLUS i was really surprised that there was no filler! After watching Naruto i’ve been really wary about watching longer anime, but everything about Yu Yu Hakusho is great, especially the OP/ED theme songs!

Yes the boxsets were the DVD BOXSETS, as far as i know there has never been a full collection of Yu Yu Hakusho music released, though the MEMORIAL Cd box looks promising. I am going to see if i can hunt it up and if i find it, this will be the first place that i post it.

I’m uploading the Movie OST as a nice .rar to rapidshare (though I have personally never had problems with Megaupload, but I know many people don’t like it anymore).

Though I just realized that to my knowledge there was no OST release for the other Yu Yu Hakusho Movie. The one I’m uploading is the same one Galbadia Hotel has… and that’s for the Poltergeist Report the Movie… which I believe is Movie #1… but I’m not sure… as the one with Koenma’s Kidnapping (which was awfully short and a bit on the corny side (so short it was featured as a double feature on the DVD containing Ninku the Movie as well)) … I have never found any music for that feature yet. But it’s been ages since I’ve searched for anything from this anime.

and unless stated otherwise besides the song in ()’s… there’s absolutely NOTHING different about the song than on the previous CDs it’s appeared on. Except for maybe on the Collective Rare Trax… that I know of.

for the Symphonic ones… can’t recall which but it’s either I or II, but for the repeating songs… one of the albums has shorter (more TV sized) versions Symphonic… the other full… so beware. Also as far as I can tell they were NOT composed by the same person… if anyone knows the composer for I, please let me know.

Are these the vocal ones or the instrumental ones?

Both; the CDs are mostly mixtures; though some have only a few BGM tracks while others have a lot (like the OSTs).

There is sadly A LOT of music that never made it to CD.

Yu Yu Hakusho ost’s is very easy to find at pirate bay, you should really give it a try.
I realized that some people complained that didn’t find the songs that them was looking for.

Yu Yu Hakusho OST’s are very sad. Because some of the most powerful songs aren’t there.
Songs in the boss battles, from the beginning of the anime and tension songs was not recorded and only exist in the anime or in the orchestral version of the OST, in the movie-album.
These tracks are very rare and you won’t find in none OST. You’ll find them one by one, like "Makeru Wakeni Wakanee" (I think that’s the name).

I think I know a way to make lossless version of all the Yu Yu Hakusho Soundtracks! Just get in contact with Izo-Mastering on Facebook, although he has changed his name to "Chemix800", & go from there.

Find the OST in Flac is really hard, you just have MP3 versions.
