Pokemon crystal tracks

How hard would it be to acquire some of the tracks from Pokemon Crystal? Specifically, the Raikou/Entei and Suicune battle theme. If anyone could rip this, I’d really appreciate it. ^_^

This sounds kinda like GBA-quality if you ask me but.. when was the Legendary Dog’s theme ever implemented in a GBA game? …Were they at one point planning a Gold/Silver/Crystal remake?

Actually, from what I know, the song was ripped from Pokemon Crystal, being played on a GBA… But why it sounds like that, I’m not sure. I think it was due to the ripping device itself.

Today I decided to see what chance I had at ripping the track itself, and I succeeded! I also managed to get Eusine’s theme which is pretty cool. 😀 If anyone’s interested I’ll upload them onto MegaUpload or something.

Also, if anyone knows of any other Crystal-specific tracks they want, I’ll see if I can rip those as well.

Yes, I wouldn’t mind hearing your ripped version. Just for… comparison reasons.
And Eusine’s theme, that would be interesting as well. I don’t have a Crystal, so I’m unaware of what the tune is…

Very interesting… I really didn’t think there would be much difference, but that was before I heard this version you ripped.
I’ll have to check where I got the one I posted, and where the original ripper for that got it from.

EDIT: I just found out from the original ripper that the theme was indeed from a GBA game — Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire. It was a "test" theme, from what I was told, so to test the GBA’s music quality. It’s speculated that they used old themes so not to worry about new ones not working properly… Basically, the Suicune theme was a test dummy, and was left in the game(s) after serving its purpose.
Other themes include a GS route theme (the one from Olivine to Mahogany), a Team Rocket encounter theme, Pewter City, and variations of the Pokemon Contest theme.

Well… There is a way of doing it. But you’ll need the following:

1) Winamp.

2) This: http://support.xmplay.com/files/winamp_input_plugins/in_HA.exe (When it says for you to "Browse", put it in your Winamp folder, NOT your Plugins folder… Just click your Winamp folder, and you’re good to go.)

3) And this: http://www.zophar.net/gsf/ (Look for Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire. They’re GBA rips, just not converted into anything else. Step 2 above is a plugin used to allow Winamp to play these GBA files.)

If you need some assistance, give me a shout and I’ll see what I can do.
I would rip these myself… but, unfortunately, I don’t have a WAV-to-MP3 converter.

I downloaded them. But it appeared to be text-only, with no music. And according to my computer, this HA.exe thing is corupted.

I don’t know if I have Winamp, but the files got downloaded into WinRar…was that stupid of me? What is Winamp and where do I find it?
