Yeah, I’m serious. It’s supposed to be set a couple hundred years after the tv shows and will be launching in Japan sometime next year.

This sounds like the worst idea in history to me, even though it’s bound to be successful. On the plus side, it should draw a lot of morons out of WoW.

I can’t wait until SomethingAwful.com invades it and pisses everyone off and drives them away.

mmorpgs that copy wow’s exact gui like it’s the best thing ever make me laugh.

However, when it comes to absurdity, I think dragonball is just as bad as what Blizzard drove the warcraft franchise to, so I think that point is a shitty one.

so i’m guessing the general idea is like a cross between coh and dbz? cause i would have NO IDEA what type of quests or backstory they’d put. O_o classes? jobs? races is kewl. i can imagine that. 99% of eveyrone is gonna be saiya-jin with 1% being namek. O_o

but. we’ll be lucky if this gets translated. -_-

Its one of those things that are so crazy they just might work.

If this where to be released I wouldn’t have a problem with it’s existence. Second time I’ve seen a mmo using Cell Shaders. If there’s no monthly charges it might just be worth it. Who knows. The Dragonball universe is not an ugly one.

Either way, I’m not a fanboy nor a critic on a rant, So no strong opinions here. I’ll just wait and see.

I’d be interesting to see. I mean flying around the world, seeing 100’s of Kamahamaha waves shooting around would be pretty insane, not to mention the fact that if it was to have any close link with the anime/manga, then at a high enough level, you can destroy planets. So yeah, imagine that for noob pwnage.

i’ve been thinking a bit more about it. i just realized lvls’ might not exist. (be advised, i’m just imagining how it might be, not saying how it will be)

and in my imagination, no levels would exist. instead, it would be…POWER LEVELS!! ^_^ haha. that would just rock and help get us into the game.

i’m still not sure about quests though. that’s why i thought it might be like coh cause they might wanna make heroes of everyone, and so what else would we do except save people/the world? idk. or maybe training related quests for the begining.

interplanetary travel would rock hardcore. having originating planets based on race would rock hardcore. (if you choose the Namekian race, you start off in their home planet. inclusion of all the possible races would be hilarious too (which would be true to toriyama’s spirit in that dbz is half comical!) so I would love seeing characters with animal heads. ^^

but who knows. i’m just daydreaming and most of my awesome ideas are NEVER actually implemented in the mmo’s i daydream about. kinda like the time i dreampt up an mmo based on the pokemon world. 🙁 (which if made JUST right, would be the greatest mmo in the history of mmo’s!)

If this is a free MMORPG, I’d simply just fly around and watch explosions around me (assuming that’s possible) and maybe try out a quest and see if I like it or not.

What was the first? I’ve always been attracted to cell shaded games. I even bought Auto Modelesta (Can’t find game to check the spelling)
