I will be reviving the Pokemon Music Thread shortly. With the generous support of the Mediafire and Megaupload communities, I’ve managed to obtain dedicated servers to protect my uploads, and I will now provide ever-live torrents so that if the links are dead, you can get it straight from me! I promise to be more resilient about serving the online community from now on. I hope everybody can forgive me and my old computer (R.I.P.)

I’ve obtained enough OST’s and special collections of music to start a new thread. Stay tuned.

I found that 2000 music collection you were talking about, and it doesn’t have much for instrumentals. But I listened to a sample track from another 2000 movie collection, and it was music I recognized from the movie. There is hope yet!

indeed there is hope, latios; I have the 2nd movie OST completed, and the 3rd somewhat complete, but still needing a couple tracks. I’ll see about getting them uploaded ASAP.

Also, I have the JApanese 1st movie OST; it’s in the 2-disc set "The Birth of Mewtwo". Disc 2 was the OST, Disc 1 was a five-track CD drama.

I also seen a few of you wanting the song where they are running away from the Spearow. I have it, it’s called "The Spearow Strike" but it’s the same track as "The Chase" from the Lati movie. I have quite a few BGM songs, maybe I’ll upload them tomorrow too…

Sure thing. I have the theme CD for that movie myself. However, because my crappy DSL at home was being such an asshole last night, I was unable to upload the first three. I’ll have them up tonight, if it doesn’t hiccup again. >.<

I meant more the second part of that specific part in the episode. When it starts raining, "The Chase" ends and a new track begins that builds up to a really nice sounding orchestral piece. After this piece (when Ash and Pikachu fall off the bike), "Tears After the Cloudy Weather" starts. It’s the middle piece I’m looking for.

Do you mean the songs titles?
For the most part, no.
The music itself is largely similar, a few vocal songs (like "This Side of Paradise") didn’t make the cut.
Thankfully, latios.of.altomare included the two english songs from "Lucario and The Mystery of Mew". Albiet the somewhat low quality, they are still there, and that’s definitely better than nothing.

So for the Power Of One movie, the Score doesn’t exist? I remember throughly enjoying the Score

The dialog about "using the Web service to find an appropriate program" just means that Windows doesn’t have a program associated with the file type.

It does exist.
I’ve seen it (a picture over the net), but the C.D. cover was in Spanish.
I’ve also heard that the score is available over iTunes.
Not sure if it’s true or not, and since iTunes (reportedly, I don’t use it) protects their songs to prevent mass uploading, it doesn’t help any of us.

*ahem*. The ripping software I use rips the mp3’s so that they are the maximum quality you can get off of the CD, so that you have a good sounding rip without the overkill of 320 kbps. In other words, in order to get any higher quality versions of the songs, you’ll need to talk to the copyright holders and ask them for a copy of the raw sound file :3

I am afraid that you are sorely mistaken. All of Genki!! Ippai!! is in 128 kbps.

I’m afraid you’ve misunderstood. I ripped the tracks from the CD into mp3 versions of exactly what you’d hear if you stuck the thing into the car stereo. The program rips the tracks so that they are automatically at full CD quality. It just so happens that the Genki!! Ippai!! CD was created with 128 kbps tracks, and that’s why these tracks are also 128 kbps. Try searching for a rip with "higher quality" recordings, but I promise you that all you’ll be doing is wasting memory.

A lot of times I prefer dub music.
Not only because I understand it, but because they are usually catchy.
That one Pokemon Kazoe Eiga or whatever was track one for the "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew" soundtrack was, IMO, ear splitting and horrendous.

Now, in the midst of all of these music tracks, one theme still isn’t anywhere in sight.

I don’t know how to explain it, except that it plays in the Anime usually when a gym leader reveals their most powerful Pokemon. (The case I’m thinking of is when Blaine summons Magmar to the field at the end of "Riddle me This")

It doesn’t appear to be in either Anime OST.

Is there anyone out there who knows where to find it?

Sorry for the delay. It’s beta software being developed by a small, independent company in Tucson, Arizona, and it doesn’t have an official name yet. I can’t post a public download for it, but if you want to be updated on release dates and such, I’d be glad to let you know.

Well I can do Pokemon 3 for them, but have you ever considered downloading iTunes, when you import the CDs into your computer they are automatically in MP3 format.

It doesn’t sound that great because its a .mid file, but you can kind of recognise it

I have a question/request. I just downloaded "Pokemon Sound Anime Collection" which was really good, but the thing is that it was in wma format. I couldn’t play the songs in winamp (I had to use mediaplayer, which I _never_ use normally) and I couldn’t find any way to convert the files to mp3 format…

I see that a few people have been asking for the other Johto / GS battle themes… I concur. I would love to have the Gym battle theme. Or any of them, really. I’m really just in love with the anime’s take on all the games’ battle themes. I like to use them in cartoons that I make, heh. (If you’ve ever seen a Flash movie called Rokemon, there’s one of my prime examples)

The G/S Wild Battle mix is totally going into my next toon…

*EDIT* Oh hey, does anyone know if the G/S Team Rocket theme was done up and used in the anime? (You know, the music that plays when a Rocket Grunt challenges you to a battle, and when they take over the Goldenrod City radio tower? Yeah! I had a MIDI of that on my old cell phone for years)

Being interested primarily in score music, I bought this CD mainly for my two nephews, who are both Pokemon mad. I have the soundtracks from the previous two movies and, while they are okay in general, there are only a few songs off each that I really enjoy listening to over and again.
I was stunned (and thrilled), upon purchasing the Pokemon 3 soundtrack, to discover the second disk was dedicated entirely to score music. I have little interest in the lame songs from the TV show itself. I took my nephews to see the 3rd movie in the cinema, and it was the music above and beyond anything else that really caught my attention. I held off on buying the CD for so long, though, because I thought it was just a mixture of those same old ridiculous songs (ie, Two Perfect Girls), and just the one medley of music from the movie.
I half wish I had bought it sooner, now, though I would have had to pay much more than what I actually did. (I got the double CD for just five dollars)
Of all the tracks on the score, track 6 would have to be my favourite. It has all the energy and tension that made sitting through a movie a halfway enjoyable experience. The other tracks (I can’t provide a name for any of them, because there was no track list provided for the score CD) were all just as good, and there was a nice added bonus of the ‘Legend Comes to Life’, Lugia’s theme from the Pokemon 2000 CD.
All in all, the addition of a full score CD to this collection has made it one hundred percent worth having.

6 TV Sized song (from advanced to frontier with no extended versions)

Put the DVD in the drive, then open up KM Player. Before opening the DVD disc, left click the screen and go Capture >> Capture Audio. Set up where you want it to go, etc, then load the DVD. When you want to start recording hit record, and when you want to stop then hit stop. The completed mp3 file should be wherever you said it would be on your HD. 🙂

Since our disc drive doesn’t recognize DVD’s, I can’t rip it to the computer.
So, I figured I’d be sneaky like a Weavile, and download the movie via BitTorrent.
The movie file I have has a codec my computer doesn’t recognize, and I sure as heck don’t want to spend another 8 hours downloading Pokemon 3 (The movie wasn’t that spectacular, no offense).

This video has a good version of "This Side Of Paradise", is this what you are looking for?

Every other version is either too quiet, or too distorted with the instrumentals, but this one sounds good… unless you want the looped version that the DVD used to extend the song to fit the credits.

The thing is, a lot of the songs used in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl are recycled from the movies/older shows.
Why, in one episode, there were tracks from Jirachi, and Lucario!
I’m sorry, but Diamond and Pearl (game) had really terrible music in it.
It was like, jazzy funk or something like that.

No, it’s not just you.
For all intents (mostly intents) and purposes, Tommy D (aka thomasdaly) did a fairly respectable job of ripping the music from the 3rd Pokemon movie.
The voices are pretty much unavoidable.

Wrapped up In The Light (Speedy Mix) took me literally 6 minutes to do, because I was so damn lazy with it.

Squealing Frenzy took over three hours.
THREE HOURS.
Just imagine having to listen to THAT for three hours.

It was fun.
I can’t think of any other Pokemon songs to "Super-Max-Me-Remix".
I’ll probably just make another Squealing Frenzy out of other movies.

Your remixes were fairly well done.
I’m not into the whole electric bagpipe (exaggeration) thing that goes with Together, but it was decent.

I don’t know about that…there are just so so so many…the movie ost’s are mostly instrumental, the pokemon anime sounds collection is instrumental, and advance adventure has instrumentals on it–so they all wouldn’t fit in one file–but I don’t know if instrumental is quite the same as orchestrated.

As for the Lovely Boy Instrumental, there’s a short instrumental version (1:11) on the Rekku no Houmonsha Deokishisu CD–it’s track 11, but if you want the full karaoke version, I *think* I just found it, so just wait a little bit…

Arigeitsu, I have the Japanese Origins of Mew CD drama, I don’t know if that’s what you were looking for.

Sorry…you’re right, and I’m wrong…I meant to say the Origins of Mewtwo. What I have the CD drama for this, in an unfortunately stupid format. It’s like listening to a movie, so it’s not the OST. And yeah, there’s a little girl Ai in it, who becomes friends with Mewtwo–and Musashi’s mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also found the translation for it online.

Sendbillshere, I watched the clip, but I didn’t know the song off-hand…I’ll give it a couple more listens, I guess, and compare it with the stuff I do have, but I see that it’s from Johto, so if it’s on anything that I have, it would be from the Sound Anime Collection, which is made of the earlier background music, so I would recommend downloading that. I’m kind of more into the vocal songs than BGM. If anyone else can identify that song, go for it. Having a name makes things easier to find.

This song is the instrumental version of the song <I>OK!</I> (which is the Japanese theme song to the third season). I absolutely LOVE this song, but unfortunately, as far as I know, it’s never been officially released on any album at all! Thus, it’s been notoriously difficult–if not unprecedented–to find an isolated version of that song (i.e. just the song, no background noise or sounds or anything like that). But, I’m still hoping, and it’s good to know there are more fans out there and other people looking for it. 🙂

EDIT: This is just too great having these in-game bgm from the anime version, makes me want to have more(battle music of trainers, gym leaders, Elite Four, from all generation and then some, you name it).
Ya know what, the gym’s theme in here was much different than I expected. I was expecting the more radical version, like the one that was playing during Ash’s Pikachu and Swellow battling Tate’s and Liza’s Solrock and Lunarock(I think) in the rematch. All I’m looking for is a better quality version of the JP Jirachi song "Make a Wish", that is, "Chiisaki Mono." I have it from a link way back, but 128Kbps sounds crummy. Been wanting this one single song for ages. All links everywhere are dead, for the most part. Hoping someone could upload that as people have already said they would *glares at bold red text*.
