The best RE game is the third (RE 3: Nemesis), to me.Because this game is so scary with its creatures, in particulary Nemesis, wich he always want to kill Jill during the game, lol =).
So now, I want to know your opinion guys.
The first 3 cant appeal to me as Ive never played them back to the ps1 days and now they look ridicilus with today’s standarts. But Im sure they would have scared the hell out of me back then (just like Silent Hill ;))
Yeah, but I had downloaded RE 3 a few months ago, played it but its such an old game that it cannot scare me now.
If I had played the game back then, it would scare me even now (like the orginal Silent Hill).Apparently I did not have the chance :(, so Im looking forward to play the remake, 0, Code Veronica and 5.
I would love to play the 1st one on the DS though ๐
The 4th RE win for now.
To me, it’s the best of the horror in video game section, but not the best game of the world.
But like I meant, RE3 is the better I think.
Also, does anyone have any recents news about RE5?
re3 is too easy and there aren’t a lot of scary moments as you have a shit load of ammo at your disposal.
The best thing about re games is lack of ammo, shit load of scary things in a scary location.
I’ve passed every single re game except survivor 1 (its the only one i don’t own) and my favourite is either
Resident evil 2- 2 charaters, 4 scenarios, great story line
resident evil 4 – of course gets a huge vote as one of best games ever.
I really enjoyed outbreak both file 1 and 2 but 2 is better.
Great idea with small scenarios with different characters to choose from each with different attributes. wish i had online though…

RE3 isn’t very easy. The first time that I played the game, I did 10 hours and 16 minutes!
Nemesis is scary in the game!
But you are free to think that RE2 is the best.

Agreed.
 But Resident Evil 2 gets my vote. Far more memoreable and, well, enjoyable, due to many factors. ๐ Sure, RE4 is bad-ass, but I’ve played and re-played RE2 just so many times. ^_* And I found the scary-factor also higher, which just scores. ๐

Well, 4 was almost an excelent game, however it did not really scare me. Sure it had its moments, but it was more action.
Also here is the official trailer of 5 if you havent seen it yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvxe0tDL9g8
People think that the character of RE5 is Chris, but nothing official has been announced yet.
And also, there is going to be a Resident Evilfor the Wii (Umbrellla Chronicles).
Most scary game is Silent Hill for me :erm:

If I had a Wii I would probably get the game, although Im quite dissapointed.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a Wii…

The idea of a game explaining the Umbrella story featuring characters from almost all RE games is indeed good. But I would expect a third person survivar horror game and not a first person game and thats where I got dissapointed.
I have never played a first person RE shooter before though.
I think it wont appeal to everyone as its a 1st person shooter essentially but if anyones played dead aim that ain’t a bad thing.
Also its RE. It can’t be bad (even survivor 2 is ok….ish)
Before to do the poll, I thought that BioHazard one (or the remake) will be the winner, because it’s the first of the serie.
Anyway, it doesn’t the first that I prefer, like you guys.RE3 is better, so better.
Well, the 4th is the winner for now.RE2 is second, RE3 is third, and the last is Code Veronica.
The 6 others are at 0 %.
The poll will close on 04-21-2007 at 04:48 PM.
For now, RE4 win.
The only thing I disliked was for the Gamecube version you only got a slim choice of extras while PS2 the Characters where prerendered. I so wanted to see Leon knife fight Krauser in the Gangaster outfit.
I think RE4 is the winner.
Lol, you can’t vote unfortunately, the poll is close. But if you voted RE4 or RE Remake, I think RE4 won too.
#1 – RE2
#2 – RE: Code Veronica
#3 – RE Remake (Gamecube)
#4 – RE
#5 – RE3: Nemesis
I don’t really consider RE4 to be an actual Resident Evil, since the camera view changed and the fact that there are no zombies in it. It’s more of an action game to me. A very good action game though. I had no feeling of horror while playing it, like I did when I first played all the others before it. And I truly loved the original 3rd person camera view alot more.
Unfortunately, I never played the remake of the Gamecube, and RE 0.
Aside from the ending, the game was simply terrific.
And I saw this first trailer of the game, there are Zombies, they are come back, lol. They weren’t on RE4, it’s because I say that. A RE is better with zombies, and monsters I think, than with simples crazy residents of a village (RE4), no ?
In RE5, we’ll maybe have an ennemy like the Nemesis of the third game ? That would be cool, to me =).
I enjoy Outbreak #1 and #2, as it gives a civillians point of view. Sure it wasnt that good for gameplay but it did have some quite interesting plot twists e.t.c
I cant stand Code Veronica. I honestly dont know why, I play it and i just dislike it. I got upto playing as chris and just put the controller down, yawned and thought ‘why does a majority of fans say this is the best?’
Resident Evil 4 has to be the easiest game in history. Ive completed it over and over and over, infact ive completed it well over 40 times on proffessional, which to be honest is like normal mode of RE2. Theres way too much ammunition, theres no panic (not for me anyway) and it just dumped you in a situation where everything which made resident evil was gone, so it was like ‘wtf is happening, last time i checked we were revisiting memory lane in the RPD watching marvin getting attacked’. Great action game, poor resident evil game.
Survivor i thought was allright. Same with the CVX gun survivor and the slightly better Dead aim.
Zero was fantastic, but it posed the question which ive read on the web in various forums that, Similar to Yoko Rebecca was working for umbrella. Well it didnt really, i just didnt get how she fought all those monsters, then looses all those guns and ammo and uses pepper spray on Chris in the Spencer mansion and acts a wimp. Bit of continuity problems, but hey, wouldnt change capcom.
Being fair, id have to say the Original Resident Evil. Without that, we wouldnt have any of those memories at all because it wouldnt exist. And for the record, Remake has to be THE scariest game ever, jsut because of how much ‘survival’ really comes into play. That and that graphics are fantastic.
To those who believe they cant find resident evil scary due to PS1 graphics, graphics dont matter. Its what the game creates visually and in your mind that counts.
I still regard the PS1 as having the best games on earth, because of Resident Evil, because of Dino crisis 1, and Parasite eve, and Syphon filter who, 2 of those have failed to make a successful transition onto what was, next gen consoles PS2 or Xbox. But just because the graphics are extremly outdated, the impact they still have, beat millions of games released today, because in my eyes back then, gaming was pure then, without the emphasis on graphics, and the race on who can make the best system or sell the most games, or whos got the best High definition player in its system.
Jeez, i sound about 40!

Its chris redfield.
Dont know about other playable characters
There are NO zombies. They are humans. But they arnt Ganando’s either (interesintg =])
Resident evil was better with zombies and monsters, but there has come a time where things need to progress, so, unless every zombie is now a crimson head, then there wont be slow dumb zombies.
I dont think there will be a nemesis or any tyrant-like creature. Its possible we’ll have another Dr Salvador, just without the bag and chainsaw. Maybe its a guy in sunglasses who knows kung fu or is just a psycho with an axe or pipe maybe. (not intended to sound like Wesker there)
To be honest, i wouldnt like to be in capcoms shoes. Resi does need somewhat of an update, and evolution, but i cant think what. And ive loved resi since it came out in 96 ( I was six back then XD )
To be honest, i absolutly loved the RE4 supernatural version. I wouldnt know how to intergrate it into the resident evil saga, but damn, that was freaky, fresh and extremly entertaining in my eyes. anyone else agree that they too, was intrigued with the supernatural/hookman take on RE4???
My favourite Resi game has to be the REmake, because it looks brilliant, it’s adding things to an already great game and it’s like a big ‘Thanks for supporting us!’ to the fans. Those are my thoughts, anyway =3
But I did buy the very first Resident Evil 1 on the Playstation (even the original and not just the Directors Cut).
Anyway the ones I own are Resident Evil (original PS version), Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 (the one on GC because my PS one broke :(), Resident Evil Code Veronica X (the PS2 and the GC ones), Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil ReMake, and Resident Evil 4 (GC). I still have yet to give some of the REs with the sidestories a try.
I actually like 2 a bit more only ’cause 1 is much harder than 2.
I got frustrated after many restarts.
And I refuse to play Dead Aim, because I hate it when companies take their games and radically alter the format. That, and I’ve heard nothing but bad things about it.
Live action FMVs will always have a special place in my heart.
2 is probably the best
Code Veronica is fantastic though

RE4 was cool, but I think it is the most over rated RE game in the series just because of the "better grapics" and what-not.
It’s all about all the old school Resident Evils. Though ReMake and 0 are both fun too.
And I got stuck about 10 minutes in Code: Veronica when I played and to this day, I remain stuck!
