[FLAC Lossless] Final Fantasy [ALL]
=======================================
Here it is! 100% packed PCM w/ FLAC. All you need to do is unpack the files and they’re back
to their original uncompressed format. All packs include the original SFV created from the
extracted wav files, so in the end if you did everything correct your wav files should match
the originals.
I have every FF Audio CD and plan on releasing more FLAC encoded, let me know if you’re looking
for any specific one and I’ll try to get it up. I am not opening my FF Finest (Advance) sealed
box as that’s limited to 5000 copies so forget it! Other than that most of the FF music I have
can be ripped π
Hopefully this will generate more FLAC and PPCM releases eh? If you really want to reconstruct
the CD w/ the correct gaps (pauses) ask me and I’ll rip you the TOC.
==========
For those who have no idea what FLAC or MLP etc. is:
FLAC is a lossless compression very simular to .zip or .rar, except it’s dedicated for Audio
use. Unlike Mp3 or other lossy compression, as with a zip file FLAC is a packer or a wrapper.
No information is lossed, this is known as PPCM (Packed PCM) formatting.
You can decode FLAC back into uncompressed PCM files.
Download FLAC from: http://flac.sourceforge.net/
Grab the frontend GUI from: http://members.home.nl/w.speek/flac.htm
Run them from the same dir and you’re good to go!

CD: Radical Dreamers Original Soundtrack [Valour SNES Recording]
Artist: Yasunori Mitsuda
Catalog No.: N/A
Format: CD
Number of discs (or other units): 1
Release Date: 1996
Price: N/A
Description
The music of Radical Dreamers was written by composer Yasunori Mitsuda, the same artist who scored Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. In addition to regular music, the soundtrack also includes ambient pieces, used to heighten suspense during the game’s tense moments. A handful of themes from the game were later adapted for Chrono Cross on the suggestion of director Masato Kato.[4] Many pieces appear unchanged except for new instrumentation.[4] Appearing in Chrono Cross are Gale, Frozen Flame, Viper Manor, Far Promise ~ Dream Shore (On the Beach of Dreams ~ Another World, The Dream that Time Dreams), The Girl Who Stole the Star (Star-Stealing Girl) and Epilogue ~ Dream Shore (Jellyfish Sea). Other musical ideas and progressions are found elsewhere in Cross’s repertoire.
==============
Recording Process:
==============
Two different SPC sets (SNES sound files) were used to compile this, due to glitch files and there being no perfect set and recorded from a real SNES.
Special thanks to Anti Resonance for his spc2rom and SWC Util for Super WildCard DX2 http://alpha-ii.com/
SPCs were converted using SPC2ROM and then transferred directly to a Super Wildcard DX2 Copier and directly loaded in SNES memory.
No filters or NR were used, this is pure authentic SPC700 music!

CD: Final Fantasy IV OST [COMPLETE] [RESTORED]
Artist: Nobuo Uematsu
Catalog No.: N/A
Format: CD
Number of discs (or other units): 2
Release Date: 1991
Price: N/A
Description
The Final Fantasy IV OST was first released on June 14, 1991, by Square Co., Ltd./NTT
Publishing Co., Ltd,, and subsequently re-released on November 26, 1994, and October 1, 2004,
by NTT Publishing Co., Ltd.
Tragically, the CD soundtrack was edited to [squeeze] as much VGM on a single CD. The entire
soundtrack contains 44 songs which most song fades oddly loop at 1.5 times (instead of the
standard 2 times) and is 63 Minutes.
This Complete and Restored version contains all 52 tracks and fades loop at the standard 2
times and is 1.6 hours and fits on 2 CDs.
===============
Restoration Process:
===============
None of the 44 released tracks were re-recorded. These tracks were re-edited and
fades looped at the standard 2 times.
Unreleased tracks were taken from the original SPC (SNES sound) files and recorded from a real SNES console.
No filters or NR were used, this is pure authentic SPC700 music that matches the OST! You should
not be able to tell our recordings from Square’s.
I am most proud of this project because FF4 is my personal fav. game and soundtrack. It is a
shame that the OST release got screwed this way, but we managed to fix it π

Post FF [FLAC] requests below.
Anyway, you sir(?) are the best!!! If you didn’t know already, I’m always looking for the best quality I can get, and any lossless format whether it be WMAL or FLAC or MONKEY AUDIO, they’re all wonderful. *Two thumbs up and one big toe* it’s the only one left.:'(
May I please request, if you have, the OST for Final Fantasy 10-2 (X-2)?
BTW, what is BTW?:smrt: Well anyway, Thanks a thousand two hundred and fifty three!!!? Uh…lets just round it off to a million.
Sure I will do X-2 as soon as XII is finished uploading.
[For the boring technical details, no one wants to read] but I will post it anyway. X-2 is copy protected with Midbar’s (Macrovision) DRM [copy protection]. The adds (C2 & CU – uncorrectable) errors to the disc. It’s the SAME as if you scratch your disc, yeah, this is what we call selling "damaged goods" hence why the stopped using that *crap*. Thus it literally corrupts/damages the user data. Lucky for you I actually was an inventor for CD Audio DRM and am an expert w/ this π
In order to correctly extract CDS-200 discs, I use a high-end Plextor Premium drive and Plextools XL, what we do is recover sectors. Since the CD sectors are redundant, we rescue the data (extract it) by looking at the good sectors and ignoring the bad sectors based on the redundancy. Alas, there are very few (if any) FF X-2 correct rips as standard drives and software will fail to rip the CD Quality samples π It will rip it but you will have sample [data] loss resulting in lower quality music π
EAC and other software may or may not do this as it depends on your drive’s internal firmware and how it detects, corrects and handles C1/C2/CU errors…most drives won’t rescue the data instead it will “correct” it by adding zero’s in the place of errors π
Well, get ready for one of the first true CD Quality rip!
I was actually going to suggest EAC (Exact Audio Copy), but seeing as you already have it, it’s now moot.
Once PCM is compressed it isn’t CD Audio quality is it? I am glad music lovers like you understand this
As long as the codec used is lossless and it’s ripped directly from the CD it will remain as CD quality. AUDIOPHILE FOR LIFE!!!:-D
Best thing of all is that I use VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/) which uses its own built-in codecs, one of which includes FLAC, for audio/video playback; there’s no need to download any extra codecs.:-D
Then you are making an analog copy of the recording. There is serious quality loss doing it that way, analog noise, hiss etc.
What CD is it? What country? I can tell you exactly what DRM it is…may even be mine π
I was actually going to suggest EAC (Exact Audio Copy), but seeing as you already have it, it’s now moot.
As long as the codec used is lossless and it’s ripped directly from the CD it will remain as CD quality. AUDIOPHILE FOR LIFE!!!:-D
Well yeah but remeber the Redbook [PCM] format is so obsecure that it isn’t a file system or have ANY error corection, so ripping PCM varies from application to application and drive to drive…I have yet to make a true 1:1 copy from CDDA doing a bit to bit copy to the original wav. It’s a crazy format! Check out my blog about the whole Redbook obsecurity: http://eheldman3.blogspot.com/
Then you are making an analog copy of the recording. There is serious quality loss doing it that way, analog noise, hiss etc.

I can’t say I notice much any difference doing it this way. I use Creative Wave Studio, set the correct db levels, disable all DSP and upmix effects, record directly from Wave output, and change the settings in the wave editor to 48khz/24bit. Once the track is done recording I make my final edits and the save the project as a WMA Lossless 48khz/24bit or 48khz/16bit. There’s no analog noise, hiss, our any quality loss from what I can hear, it’s just probably not 100% mathematically lossless but I can’t tell the difference between this and ripping it directly from the CD, so…=)

I can’t remember the name of the album exactly, but it was a greatest hits from Alicia Keys. I tried to rip it to my computer and it came out all choppy. It’s OK though because (1), I now already recorded the tracks and they all work and (2), I haven’t listened to it in so long since I seem to be listening only to video game music.=)
Oh, and thanks a whole bunch for uploading the Final Fantasy X-2 Soundtrack, I like a lot of the jazzy type of songs that it has. Thanks again. I stumped my other toe the last time I was trying to give two thumbs and two big toes; that’s why it was the only one left [I know you’re laughing but it hurt], but now… *Two thumbs, two and a half big toes up*!!! Strange medical disorder.:(
Speakers also mean a lot, $3,000 ($6,000 a pair) high end studio speakers mixed w/ Golden Ears could tell a difference. That isn’t most of us, no you won’t hear any difference at all. You’re right it isn’t mathematically correct.
If you really want to see what happens and you have the time and patience here’s what to do:
Take an original CD/DVDA whatever and make your analog transfer. I would keep it small, about 30 seconds should work. Now that is a second generation capture. Take that recording and burn it to a CD (or just play it and re-record it) the same way. That’s a third generation recording. Keep doing it…by the fifth or sixth you will hear more and more analog hiss, noise and oddly notice a speed/pitch change π Obviously if there is no quality loss it should never change, as with digital it will never change…as long as you don’t change the algorithm and simply copy it.
And yeah this is audiophile nonsense that has little value to life!

Alicia-Keys: Unplugged [CONTENT/COPY-PROTECTED CD] [ENHANCED]
http://www.amazon.com/Unplugged-Alicia-Keys/dp/B000B5IPLK
Yeah that’s one of my CDs π
1) Go to the website and remove the software.
http://www.sunncomm.com/support/faq/
2) If you have a Plextor and Plextools disable "second Session". If not hold the "shift" key down next you insert the CD to stop the mmx application from installing. The third option is to grab "Power Toys Tweak" and get rid of the CD-ROM auto run altogether [Tweak UI] http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx:
The software installs a driver that monitors your CD, (heh!) Any probs just ask me but get the drivers off your PC they are bad.

I’m not too interested in getting this CD to work considering I haven’t listened to it in such a long time, so…. But thanks anyway.
Now when you say that you have all of the CDs to Final Fantasy, would this happen to include: Final Fantasy X-2 Vocal Collection Paine, Rikku, Yuna, and the other one? I would really like to get the songs to these. Thanks for all the great uploads thus far, I haven’t been able to get all of them because of MegaUpload, π but I’ll come back soon to finish getting the rest.
Question to everyone else: Is no one interested in lossless audio quality? Do you not want quality that exceeds that of MP3s (even with LAME codec)? Well anyway it’s up to you guys as to what you want to download, I hope this thread gets more attention though.
Yeah and the two singles…I have every FF release including some rare stuff. I still haven’t seen FF X Promo Single, I may rip it some day. Sure I’ll rip the rest of the FF X-2 stuff for ya.
Use proxy’s to fool MegaUpload’s IP check: http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html
These are all mirroed on Torrents can I post the links here or upload the torrents? I dunno what the rules are here?

I need requests too! Shall I explain it again?
Lossy (mp3, ogg, m4a, wma): In order to make the file small (70mb down to 4mb) throws out parts of the music that it "thinks" your ears can’t hear. To make matter’s even worse "Lame" uses "Joint-Stereo" encoding, a process that takes two channels and basically makes them one. It treats the music as mono w/ the exception of differences it finds…it’s awful!
Lossless (FLAC, WMAL, m4al): Takes the uncompressed PCM from the CD and puts a wrapper around it. Basically a zip file w/ a higher compression ratio.
Maybe that will make them happy? π
FYI: Even though people aren’t posting, FF 12 already has 40 downloads…so the leechers are grabbing it.
Thanks man! I really like the various versions of "Eternity ~memory of Lightwaves~. There is this one version of it that I got on the web that I couldn’t find on any of the Final Fantasy X-2 albums. The piano in this one had a more enveloping sound and there were violins and stuff, so maybe it might be on one of those two singles that you’ve mentioned that I didn’t know about. =)
I actually have many more requests from Final Fantasy series but I’m not going to bother you with them, for awhile anyway; I’ll stick with the small stuff, like the singles. You know what, this brings to mind another great short album. It’s from Final Fantasy X, it’s called: Feel Go Dream Yuna & Tidus Tribute Album. I really like that first song even though the woman singing it sounds a little out of tune, I still prefer it with the lyrics though. =)
Couple of questions:
(1) What’s this "Proxy" thing about? How do I use it, if it’s OK to use it.
(2) None of the songs that you’ve uploaded have any meta information, that’s OK though, I really do appreciate the music. I’m willing to go find this information myself, but where can I go to find the artist/composer(s) for each individual song? The year, full title of the album and album art would also be a nice find. Any ideas?
(3) I’ve uploaded some music here a little while ago and it’s probably rotting away somewhere on the forum. It got no responses so I assumed that nobody was interested, but you know what they say when you assume… :naughty: wait a minute. π So my question is: how do you check to see how many people downloaded what you’ve uploaded?

I can do the Feel Go Dream Yuna & Tidus Tribute Album for you. It’s OK let me know what you want and when I get around to it…I’ll rip ’em.

(1) What’s this "Proxy" thing about? How do I use it, if it’s OK to use it.
It’s using an anon proxy. It can be a pain as many proxy’s won’t work or they’ll be too slow or someone else already used it and MegaUpload still won’t work!
In IE: Tools >Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings> check use a proxy and enter one.
Be warned it’s not always easy to find a fast working one, happy hunting!

The best is to search the actual CDDB (CD Data Base) where iTunes and WMP get the CD info from. So far all the FF CDs I ripped here have been listed, and I even submitted a few in English (taken from ffmusic or cdjapan).
Type in the CD name, you will often get multiple choices b/c everyone submits their own. http://www.gracenote.com/music/
www.ffmusic.info should also help and has most FF known CDs, including bootlegs, artist, composers etc.
I probably should tag them but…takes too long b/c I rip into .wavs and then compress. I could go directly into FLAC but those apps don’t support the CDDB and the free DB one doesn’t have much on FF…

I am looking at my Megaupload stats, it’s all in your account. In fact I win a free premium account if I get enough of people to download, like 10,000 LOL
Just sign up for one and download the megaupload application.
I don’t have a scanner anymore it broke or I would scan them for you π
hmm…do u happen to have the Last Mission OST from FFX-2 international?

Yeah I’ll upload it when I get the time π
EDIT: i also have a few requests for yaand no i’m not in a hurry for em just take your time.
anyway i’ll list the requests here:
1. Final Fantasy VII Original Soundtrack
2. Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Original Soundtrack (cause the way i ripped them to FLAC kinda sucked)
3. Final Fantasy VIII Original Soundtrack
4. Final Fantasy X Original Soundtrack
5. Final Fantasy X (that’s 10 not X-2) Vocal Collection
6. Final Fantasy X’s Tribute (Feel/Go Dream)
if you can get these done in your spare time and at the same time give me also some advice on ripping CDs to FLAC (Privately Messaging me or replying on this topic’s okay with me) i’l see what i can soup up for ya π

I’m learning bits and pieces about this myself. I would suggest getting this program: Exact Audio Copy (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/). Also download the FLAC (http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html) codec. Insert a CD, open up Exact Audio Copy, select the setting to compress the audio using the newly downloaded FLAC codec and save the songs using the compressed format.
Sure:
1) Download Anti Resonance’s spc2rom http://alpha-ii.com/Source/SPC2R11s.rar
2) Convert your SPC file to the SNES ROM format using spc2rom.
3) Load the ROM image into your SNES Flash Cart or copier (whatever you have).
If you have the DX2 like I do, then download his RBDUtil http://alpha-ii.com/Download/RBDU200.zip
4) I strongly recommend you modify your SNES to the "S/PDIF output" for high quality digital
output to capture the music 100% accurate w/o hiss or noise. http://alpha-ii.com/Info/snes-spdif.html
That’s it π
The only SNES Flash USB cart I know of that you can still buy is: http://www.tototek.com/pio/main1/index_b.php
Though they have been sold out for a while now.

OK will make a list and check it twice! π
Yep cybershark is right EAC w/ FLAC works great, the only downside is the free db server contains little or no info for Final Fantasy π
If you build one make us some DVDA quality will ya? Output at 96/24 π
Hmm…I should have thought of that name, oh well :-\.
I have another question if you don’t mind:
So lets say that I didn’t want to use FLAC audio but instead WMAL audio, which one is better? The differences I’ve noted are that FLAC audio isn’t as widely supported as WMAL; so sometimes it’s a little buggy in some media players. With WMAL sometimes there’s this load screeching noise that comes up out of nowhere, most likely problems with the playback rather then the encoding. I’m not sure about the compression of either of them (which one is better) nor am I sure about the resources they each use up. If you could shine some light on this I would appreciate it.
Yet another question:
Not that I’m unappreciative for the music you’ve uploaded for all of us to enjoy, really do appreciate it, but out of curiosity, what other OSTs from games do you have, other then Final Fantasy? I ask because you’re the only one (other then myself) on this forum that uploads music using lossless quality. If you don’t want to say then that’s fine.:-X
Announcement:
EAC (Exact Audio Copy) is truly a wonderful program. I’ve recently used it to restore a very badly damaged Audio CD which I’ll be uploading in a couple of days, or less. That is all, carry on.:-D

WMAL and m4al [Apple Lossless] are more wildly supported, as in WMP and iTunes…neither support FLAC.
As for size, AL and WMAL are slightly larger than FLAC and I mean slightly the difference is only 1 or 2 mb. I assume this is do to the extra heading info they use and of course optional DRM.
As for size FLAC compressed best ratio (+8) is a little smaller but not small IMHO to make any difference whatsoever.
As for sound quality they should all stream equally but…you know how that goes. Personally I use Apple Lossless only b/c I use iTunes and not WMP.
Either way when I ran my tests and extracted WMAL, AL & FLAC the wav files were 100% identical byte for byte. I proved this using a hex editor and doing a byte for byte comparison. So to me it’s all the same, zip, rar, wmal etc.
Anyway to answer your question as best to my knowledge, WMAL is fine and probably better than FLAC considering Microsoft has spent millions developing it and FLAC is donated time. I love open source but it isn’t better…just free.
I’m only using FLAC b/c it’s simple to make and uncompress using the FLAC Front end and the compression ratio surpasses WMAL, AL, ZIP, RAR etc. That’s the only reason I use it for these uploads.
Just open the FLAC front end and drag ALL the files into it and hit "decode" and it’ll give you the wavs and then you can do whatever you wish w/ ’em.

Not a whole lot. Some Famicom Anniversary CDs, Metal Gear Solid, Xenogears, Chrono Stuff, some Castlevaina, Front Mission 2, Tobal 2 and I am sure a few others just can’t think of it off hand. Anyway nothing great..the SoulReaver 2 promo CD. Not a whole lot, the rest are all Lossy π

Yep it copy’s damaged discs by reconstructing the missing samples. Basically you ripped a damaged CD, just like the silly copy protected ones lol
As for my [pirate] morals on that…Square-Enix, Nintendo, Microsoft etc. are multi-billion dollar companies and aren’t going to go out of business from VGM downloads. They are in the Video Game industry [not the VGM] which is a 7 billion dollar a year industry and growing!
Chris is in the VGM business and like most Indies can’t even make a living from it π So I don’t support or download any indie VGM since if we did it would fade away and I want it to grow.Anyway that’s my view.
I love the tunes from that too. Hey… do you have the FLAC FFIII OST, by any chance? Could you upload it?
So I decided to stick with WMAL as my lossless codec of choice for encoding my music. The Problem is that every time I try to use external compression though the "Parameter Passing Scheme" (Microsoft WMA9 Encoder) with the bit rate set to "Lossless", even though is says it’s saving it as "External Compression (*WMA), it always ends up saving it in PCM format.
I’ve even tried throwing these PCM format files back into Exact Audio Copy, it says it’s compressing them but still just leaves them in PCM format. So what am I doing wrong?
I’m sorry to post this here. I just figured you, or someone else here, might have more knowledge of this program. Thanks.

Which one? Famicom or NDS? I have both.
fast_eddie, or anyone that can help me, I need a little assistance with Exact Audio Copy.

To my knowledge (and I am not an EAC expert) EAC doesn’t support WMAL, only wav, FLAC (external encoder) and LAME (external encoder).
LAME and FLAC are open source and were modified to work with EAC, WMP is not open source and doesn’t support EAC. You may want to Google this to see for sure.
Have a look at this guide maybe it will help: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=18431&
As for anyone asking about this:
I don’t bother with or support emulated ripping as it is inaccurate (timing, mixing, pitch etc.) and sadly there is TONs of it and never titled "emulated rip" as it should be.
Anyone can emulate the music into wav, it’s fast and easy. If these are released it should state [Emulated RIP] and not [Recording].
There are several ways to use the correct hardware (PSX, PS2, NES, SID, SNES, GBA etc.) to record accurate music. I will do my best to help w/ these questions.
Personally I have no interest in emulated music.
i browsed EAC to the location of the cscript.exe. and put this as command line options:
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Components\Encoder\WMCmd.vbs" -input %s -output %d -a_codec WMA9LSL -a_mode 2
I crosschecked the resulting .wma file with the WMPlayer encoded lossless version and they were the same in size. Yeah.
So anyway, all is good, great even.
So keep doing what you’re doing in providing a lossless solution for all true audiophiles out there, for video game music anyway. π
Forget about what I’ve said above, here’s the easy way:
Download the latest beta version of EAC (Exact Audio Copy) here:
http://www.digital-world.de/index.cfm?pid=302&pk=1253089
Download the Windows Media Encoder 9 Series here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5691ba02-e496-465a-bba9-b2f1182cdf24&displaylang=en
Install Windows Media Encoder 9 and then start EAC. Click on "EAC" in the menu bar and choose "Compression Options" (or just press F11). Go to the External Compression tab and next to the "Parameter Passing Scheme" select Microsoft WMA9 Encoder from the drop-down list, also make the bit rate "Lossless".
Now when you copy selected track(s) using "Compressed" it will encode them as WMAL (Windows Media Audio Lossless).
All is done! Have a very nice day! π π π
Sorry for my quiet weekend, been very busy…will get some new FLAC up ASAP.
but, and i’m not so sure if this was asked before, how can you tell if a lossless audio file is ripped crispy perfect? things like these are sorta confusing.
There is no "true" way of measuring that w/o looking at the original sectors of the CD Audio disc π There are a number of "top" drives, Plextor being the favorite that give the best results. Have a look over at www.cdfreaks.com
You’re talking about PCM (Redbook) here, Check out my blog about the whole Redbook obscurity and make up your own mind: http://eheldman3.blogspot.com/
Generally speaking ripping into any uncompressed format (aiff, wav etc.) or lossless (WMAL, Apple, FLAC) etc. will give you a lossless 1:1 rip.
If the disc is not damaged (artificially or by physical scratches) and you have a decent drive it should be OK using EAC (w/ the correct settings) but it is impossible to know for sure, unless you do byte to byte comparisons…(no one does this) as you’ll never rip PCM at 100% (1:1) just never happens π
I should add that the EAC log will give a decent and reliable estimate, if EAC says 100% then it is safe to say the quality will be crisp…if EAC says 80% you need to re-rip it using another method.
This is not for DVDA, that’s UDF (like DVDV) so no probs…this is just for SP Redbook format (i.e. CDDA).
I don’t think this one has been ripped yet, I haven’t been able to find it. So here’s the CD Quality lossless version π
The link should be up tomorrow, it will finish uploading tonight but I’ll be sleeping but will post it when I get up.
Sorry about the delay it just wound up in the back of the que for no specific reason.
[Cries] MEGAUPLOAD?!?! :notgood: Looks like I’ll have to wait until another day to download them.
[Takes megaton hammer to computer, why you ask? Too late, gets electrical ]
All Sounds of Final Fantasy I & II
Final Fantasy Symphonic Suite
Final Fantasy IV Official Soundtrack: Music From Final Fantasy Chronicles
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance OST
White: Melodies of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
The Black Mages
This time I decided to use EAC and go directly into FLAC, that means everything is now fully tagged. I also added the artwork for the releases too.
EAC w/ Secure Mode takes a while but rips are 99.5% – 100%, most are at 100%…though we know the checksum value is only going by the drive’s firmware as what it can read so w/ Redbook to get a true 1:1 rip is almost impossible as far as I am concerned. If you use EAC be sure to use advanced settings and secure mode, hopefully your drive doesn’t use audio cache. Remember all CDs have a certain ammount of errors and it is normal to get 99.5% (less than 100%) quality…though anything below 99% would require ripping via another drive and/or method.
The best site I have found for info + artwork: http://www.rpgfan.com/soundtracks1.html

Yeah, I think I’ll hold off until I get some conformation that this program’s effective, safe and clean.
I hope you don’t mind that I’m using you as my guinea pig.:)
I ripped and am currently uploading:
All Sounds of Final Fantasy I & II
Final Fantasy Symphonic Suite
Final Fantasy IV Official Soundtrack: Music From Final Fantasy Chronicles
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance OST
White: Melodies of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
The Black Mages
Thanks! I totally forgot about that OST.
I don’t know if you’re interested in this, but here’s some music that’s similar in ways to Final Fantasy music (orchestral) but a bit more adventurous:
Soul Calibur II OST (http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/605)
I totally love the song "Quest for Glory". They are of decent quality, sadly though their not lossless quality.:( Enjoy anyway!
I have plenty of other links (to video game music), but that depends on what type of music you like to listen to.
I hope you don’t mind that I’m using you as my guinea pig.:)
That’s probably wise to do since I have dedicated test PCs anyway that I simply Ghost π I will rip the application apart and check to trojan/virus/spyware etc. on a test PC, don’t need to infect mine π
Thanks! I totally forgot about that OST.

I’ll check it out. I love all kinds of VGM and can never get enough.
FYI – it isn’t that I love FF music so much…years ago I started a massive FF collection, includes every game (JAP/US/UK + Betas) that is released and the music releases too. I have one of the biggest and most extensive FF collections. That’s the madness behind the music. Who knows what I spent so far on this lol
I hope you don’t mind that I’m using you as my guinea pig.:) CyberSpark, I’ve been using the USDownloader for a while now with no ill effects. No Spyware, Malware, BHO’s, or Virii. It’s an amazingly effective program. With the latest version, you don’t even have to type in the 3 letter confirm code on Megaupload…
Do not click this link!:eye:
If your computer blows up… Well… I will sincerely apologize?
Once your IP is set on the server side, unless you use a proxy you still have to wait.
Sure there’s no backdoors to this? A firewall will tell me what the app is trying to do if anything…as for Megaupload I recommend their manager and a free membership, but this maybe good for all the different sites.
And how do they plan on making money on this? A backdoor Trojan "ping" for adds usually works (i.e. Fake Xbox emulator). Or does the guy just want to contribute?
And yes you’re just a beta tester you didn’t write the architecture. If it is so safe why isn’t it open source??

If it is so safe why isn’t it open source??Believe me, Hell is open for all who want to take a closer look… That said, the benefit of this thing is that it gives you a download manager for a whole bunch of other file-download sites (Rapidshare, sendspace, yousendit, etc)… As far as I know it’s just some crazy russian guy who decided to write something to make his life easier, kinda like how Spybot started out…
It is identified as a Malware Trojan backdoor Generator as I had suspected.

1. Delete the Trojan process.
2. Delete the original Trojan file (the location will depend on how the program originally penetrated the victim machine).
3. Update your antivirus databases and perform a full scan of the computer ( download a trial version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus).
A link to the info would have been fine…
What if the link contained a virus, huh? I rather the information be posted where I can see it thank you.:D [joking, take no offense]
With all this virus stuff and blah blah blah, it might be a good idea to turn off some services that can be used as back doors to your operating system. Try some of the suggestion in BlackViper’s list (http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/Archive/service411.htm)
This is a site that gives suggestions on what services can be turned off within Windows XP, it also gives detailed information as to what each service does. Since following these instructions my Zone Alarm reports 0 intrusion blocked since install and 0 have been high-rated.
I would strongly suggest reading the descriptions of what each service does before turning off services. Anyway it’s really quite effective.
This is equal to saying that Internet Explorer is a virus because a trojan uses it to harvest your passwords.
Please, if you’re going to be overly paranoid and Google happy, READ WHAT YOU’RE POSTING FIRST.
If you don’t want to install it, fine – but don’t spam this thread up with useless misinformation, and unwarranted alarmist paranoia.
Damn…
Oh, and thanks a lot for Final Fantasy: Advanced Tactics, I got got this a little while ago from FileFront and got hooked on it, Thanks again.
SickHippie@ Thanks for the info but I think I’m going to stick to what I have for now. If you say that I’m overly paranoid then you’re absolutely correct, but I guess that’s just the way some people are, sorry.
I’m usually one to avoid conflict, most times just I’m joking around, so if I offended you in any way I apologize:puppydog:. So lets get past all of this name calling π and focus on what’s really important: downloading lossless quality Final Fantasy music.
Speaking of Final Fantasy music, in your spare time, would you happen to have Final Fantasy 9 OST? There’s also another one I meant to request but I can’t remember it at the moment; I’ll post back later.

There’s also another one I meant to request but I can’t remember it at the moment; I’ll post back later. How right you are… Sorry for the name calling… All craziness aside, fast_eddie does deserve serious props for all of this great music in a worthwhile format… Beats the hell out of some of the crappy 96kbps mp3s I’ve grabbed in my time – sometimes you have to take what you can get…
And I will second the motion for FFIX – that was my favorite one of all time!
I hope I’m mot bothering you with all of these requests but it seems that more keep coming to mind.:-X
I don’t know how extensive your Final Fantasy library is but I’ll ask this anyway (guess I’ll find out): would you happen to have music from Final Fantasy III (Nintendo DS 2006 version)?
It plays for a short time (horrible quality) but here’s a link to one of the songs (go to Enter):
http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ff3/ After the window pops up and finishs loading you can skip the video, go to Movie (Enter), and select the one at the top that says "PV". The quality of the music is better in this one.
I’m hoping you have the entire OST, and if not that’s OK. π So anyway, thanks again for the great music!
Hopefully it will be up in a day or two. I’ll post back here when it’s up.
Not to worry. I am currently in the process of making a very detailed thread that’ll explain everything you need to know about ripping CDs and encoding them to a lossless format.
Hopefully it will be up in a day or two. I’ll post back here when it’s up.
It’s up!
Thread 40004
If you don’t know how to do this I put together some detailed instructions on how to rip CDs and encode them into either FLAC or WMAL (lossless audio): Ripping CDs and Encoding With Lossless – How To (Thread 40004) Come on, it’s easy. π
Sooooo…anyone? And don’t say I can buy these myself because I’m currently in the process of purchasing some different video game music and don’t have the funds to do both. π Thanks for reading.
Sorry if this has been asked already.
also i’ve found out where my copy of the More Friends Recording in Los Angeles, California is and i could rip that for ya if you’d like. trouble is i have the shittiest upload speeds ever but, so if you wanna negotiate with me through Private Messages as to how we’re gonna transfer the files that’s okay with me. or if you needa e-mail me instead it’s [email protected].
i could provide discs 2-4 of the final Fantasy VII score if you like (i’ve just lost Disc 1 that’s all) tell me.
that’s about all i can do to help.
Would anyone happen to have the soundtrack to Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus that they can encode in lossless audio? I’ve been wanting to add this to my library for awhile now. Just thought I might ask. π
Sorry, didn’t see this post. NDS, please.

Lies, Megaupload is awesome if you have an account, or a cracked account =P and they are much slower to delete stuff! I can actually compare it pretty well, since I’ve many 1000’s megaupload links, and almost none of em is deleted! But the new mediafire links is deleted just some days after… like your links… =P
Anyways, it’s more likely that someone is reporting these uploads! Because I’ve over a year old megaupload links which still works!
Thank you! <3
Thank you! <3
Try this (Thread 46470) topic. CyberSpark got all the albums from this topic, and will probably post them all eventually. 6 FF albums were posted already.

just another reason to stop using Megaupload and start using an alternative like www.mediafire.com
Well almost all of the albums. I’ll have to check my collection to see what it is that I’m missing. I do have most of them though.
just another reason to stop using Megaupload and start using an alternative like www.mediafire.com (http://www.mediafire.com/)
I used to like MediaFire but they to are removing links rapidly fast just like MegaUpload. Currently I’m using FileFactory (http://www.filefactory.com/), that is until it fails on us as well.
Edit: I also have some FF albums in lossless that weren’t posted in this thread. I’ll be uploading them hopefully very soon.
Oh crap, I got here late, almost everything has been deleted ;_;
sounds awesome =)
thanks a lot ^^
Isn’t that a compilation of the best tracks? Why not just download the full thing?
I have the Final Fantasy XII Original Soundtrack Limited Edition (2006) in FLAC!
You can get that album and some others like Final Fantasy VI on http://www.waffles.fm

Well, thanks for that useless link, as you need to get invited to get an account.
You can also get the FFXII OST in FLAC from uppTagg’s FTP. Just browse this topic (Thread 46470) to find out how to get an account. I’ll probably upload it to a file hosting service later myself.
