The rules:
The game
VERY IMPORTANT: Only one player can answer questions at a time, that is, the player currently occupying the hotseat. If you are not in the hotseat, please, please, do NOT give an answer to any question.
Doing so will not only ruin the game for those involved, but it will also disqualify you from playing in future. You can get into the hotseat by answering a fastest finger question correctly between games. Thereafter you will take the hotseat and other shriners must wait til the end of your game.
Basically, FFX Millionaire works just like real Millionaire, except obviously questions will only be based on events from, and attributes of, Final Fantasy X.
Just like in real life, you must answer 15 questions to reach the magical million gil mark, and, just as in real life, you will encounter milestones at 1,000 and 32,000.
You have 24 hours to respond to a question (except of course Fastest Finger). Failure to answer a question or use a lifeline within this limit will see you timed out of the game, so beware.
At any time in the game, you may choose to walk away with your current amount of gil. The benefit of this is for example, if you are on 250,000 gil and are unsure of the 500,000 gil question, and have used all your lifelines. Instead of risking dropping back to 32,000, you do the smart/boring thing and take the money.
You also have three lifelines to help you.
Ask the Audience: All shriners will have 24 hours (starting when you use the lifeline) to say what they think the answer is. Important: If you are a member of the audience, do NOT give a reason for your answer.
Once the 24 hours are up, or if at any time the player feels they are ready to give an answer, this lifeline will end. If you are a member of the audience, please take care to check times of posts when Ask the Audience is involved, so as not to post after the lifeline has ended.
50-50: Just like in real life, we drop two incorrect answers and you are left with just the right answer and one remaining wrong answer.
Phone (PM) a Friend (Shriner): You may choose any Shriner to answer the question for you and you then have the choice of accepting their answer or going a different way. Unlike Ask the Audience, when this lifeline is used, the requested Shriner may give a reason for his or her answer.
If you are using this lifeline, please declare you are using it and I will contact the Shriner of your choosing via PM, and report back to you.
Gil ladder
The gil ladder is as follows:
1,000,000 gil
500,000 gil
250,000 gil
125,000 gil
64,000 gil
32,000 gil–milestone here
16,000 gil

100 gil
Please note:
I am considering introducing a number of additional features into FFX Millionaire in the future. I have some ideas, but if you feel you know a way the game could be improved, please PM me. Keep them sensible though, they have to be a) interesting b) implementable and c) easy to understand.
If I believe your idea conforms to those three principles, I may well consider introducing it into the game at a later date.
Also, I will keep a record of the past winners in this post, so you can all brag about how good you are to your peers. ๐
Oh and FYI, the money isn’t real. Sorry if I got your hopes up.
Past Winners:
Nuclear Warheads-32,000 gil
Doggoneus-1,000 gil
Nelzar-0 gil
Put these location in the order you visit them during the game:
A: Bikanel Island
B: Macalania
C: Bevelle
D: Guadosalam
I hope you’re ready to play FFX Millionaire!
Your first question, for 100 gil.
Who is the only member of your party capable of summoning?
Is it:
A: Lulu
B: Tidus
C: Wakka
D: Yuna
๐ Of course it is. As Chris Tarrant says, no trick questions in Millionaire, they just get harder as you go on.
So then, for 200 gil:
Which of these characters do you meet earliest in the game?
A: Wakka
B: Rikku
C: Auron
D: Lulu
thanks for the welcome btw
Yup, Auron is the first character you meet, after Tidus of course.
Ok, you’re on 200 gil right now. Let’s see if we can get you up to 300 gil with this next question.
Which of the following players is not a member of the Besaid Aurochs?
Is it:
A: Letty
B: Bickson
C: Datto
D: Botta
I believe he plays with the luca goers
Yes, you’re 100% right. Bickson is the captain of the Goers actually. But yeah, that question was pretty much a process of elimination.
On to question 4, for 500 gil.
The Ronso Rage ability Seed Cannon can be learnt from which of these plant fiends?
A: Mandragora
B: Ragora
C: Sandragora
D: Grat
Yes, you’re 100% right. Bickson is the captain of the Goers actually. But yeah, that question was pretty much a process of elimination.
Not posting to answer any question, but I always thought Graav was the captain? Heh… oh well, keep going
Anyway,
Unlucky
The correct answer was actually B. Ragora. Mandragora and Sandragora are also in the game, but it is not possible to learn Seed Cannon from them.
So, unfortunately, you leave with nothing. Sorry fella. Hope you stay on the Shrine a while.
Fastest finger coming up soon…….
i was rooting for ya!
ah well, good luck to whoever’s next.
Oh, and I probably will stay here because I’ve nothing better to do
Starting with the latest, put these Maesters of Yevon in the order they first appear in the game.
A: Maester Mika
B: Maester Kinoc
C: Maester Kelk Ronso
D: Maester Seymour
C, B, A, D
I was kinda afraid of that. I knew it was one of either two possibilities, but anyway now I know what it is…. bahh alright I’ll wait.
I think that part has got a lot of people confused.
So A, D, B, C in order from first to last, but I’m probably wrong.
Can anyone get this right?!
1st Mika- He gets off the boat at Luca first.
2nd Seymour- He gets off right after Mika
3rd- It’s Kinoc at that place where Sin shows up and kills lots of people. ๐
4th- The first time you see the Ronso is at like Bevelle.
So it’s C B A D
Since you said UltimateFFFan was wrong, Logically it must be C B D A.
Lol I’m glad I re-read that. UltimateFFFan had a typo. ๐ฎ
Nuclear warhead was correct but since he’s ineligible (:() then C,B,A,D
Unless it’s a trick question because I kind of recall seymour and mika being together when they got off the boat but whatever.
CBAD. o-o
(Sorry if I am ineligible since I just joined. =/)
Piss off. Your issues with Prak are your own problem, but don’t think for a second I’m going to let you get away with spamming my Millionaire thread without a severe bollocking.
I can safely say you’re the least popular person on here, and when you consider some of the people who’ve emerged here, that is some accolade.
Finally, someone got it right! Don’t worry, there’s no reason why you can’t play (as far as I know, but I doubt Ceidwad would have any objections). As for your sig, you could always try reducing its size.
Lol thanks, I could do that but then I’d have to actually open PS and it just seems easier to go without a sig. ๐
A tip to anyone else who wants to try this: Read the question very carefully and think about it before giving your answer. As I said twbm very close.
Starting with the latest, put these Maesters of Yevon in the order they first appear in the game.
A: Maester Mika
B: Maester Kinoc
C: Maester Kelk Ronso
D: Maester Seymour
Thats confusing, do you want it forwards or from the latest?
It was Mika then Seymour in Luca, then Kinoc in Mushroom Rock Road / Djose, then finally Kelk in Bevelle. If you want it forwards then I say A, D, B, C. If you want it backwards then I say C, B, D, A. Which is what I said earlier. I cant see how it can be any different, you’ll have to explain this soon otherwise no one will get it.
And since this Fastest Finger has confused so many people that I’ve had to explain it, I’m going to have to do another question I think.
So how about this one:
Starting with the earliest, put these bosses in the order you fight them.
A: Seymour
B: Chocobo Eater
C: Lord Ochu
D: Oblitzerator
So C, D, B, A from me.
So, welcome to the chair. I take it you know all the rules. If not don’t be afraid to check back on the first page. My fingers are crossed for you, so when you’re ready let’s get started with the 100 gil question.
For 100 gil:
Which one of these Black Magic spells would be likely to deal the most damage to a fiend?
A: Fire
B: Fira
C: Firaga
D: Supa-dupa ballz of Fire x 1,000,000 LOLZ
Note: One of those may not actually be a real spell. I’ll leave it to you guess which one, Sherlock. ๐
Correct
Well, no medals awarded for getting that one right. You do get 100 gil, though.
Here’s your second question. This is for 200 gil, just fourteen correct answers away from the million gil.
Which of these in not a fiend that can be found on Besaid Island?
A: Piranha
B: Nidhogg
C: Water Flan
D: Dingo
Sorry for posting and stuff but yeah. x.x
edit: Oh crap, PM didnt even come to mind. e.e Sorry
Dog hasn’t got this one wrong though, he’s absolutely
Correct
OK, so that’s you onto 200 gil.
For 300 gil:
Which of the following aeons would be likely to use the attack Zanmato?
A: Anima
B: Valefor
C: Yojimbo
D: Bahamut
Sorry for the delay. You’re absolutely correct. Yojimbo uses Zanmato. And a pretty useful attack it is too. ๐
So, you move onto 300 gil. Let’s see if we can get you up to 500 gil with this question.
Which celestial token can be found on the beach in Besaid?
A: Sun Crest
B: Sun Sigil
C: Moon Crest
D: Moon Sigil
Yeah, it was the Moon Crest. You move onto 500 gil.
This next question could potentially get you up to 1,000 gil, which as you should know is a milestone, so you can’t leave with less than that if you get it right. Remember, you have you three lifelines to help you.
So for 1,000 gil:
Which of these modes of transport do you get to use first?
A: S.S. Winno
B: S.S. Liki
C: A Chocobo
D: The Fahrenheit (airship)
And an important correct answer, as you now can’t leave with less than 1,000 gil.
Well, congrats for reaching this point. Let’s keep going with the next one, for 2,000 gil.
‘Elements’ have been present in all Final Fantasy games in various forms and wordings. But how many elements are in FFX?
A: 4
B: 5
C: 6
D: 7
The correct answer was actually C: 6, since Gravity and Holy are also counted as elements, along with the four primary elements. Perhaps you should have used a lifeline, especially as you weren’t sure anyway.
Well, shame to lose you so early Doggoneus, but you leave with 1,000 gil and my thanks for playing.
Starting with the earliest, put these aeons in the order you are able to first acquire them:
A: Yojimbo
B: Valefor
C: Anima
D: Ixion
B, D, A, C
B,D,A,C
Let’s get you started then with the first question, for 100 gil:
What race is Rikku?
A: Human
B: Guado
C: Al Bhed
D: Ronso
Yep, absolutely right. You win 100 gil.
For 200 gil, then:
Which of these is not a Wakka overdrive?
A: Attack Reels
B: Blitz Reels
C: Elemental Reels
D: Status Reels
Hey shit for brains, guess what?
04-26-2007= old thread.
so don’t revive for such shit reasons.
