Personally, I think they did an okay job assigning each character to one specific job. I don’t like how they chose to make both Garnet and Eiko White Mages, they could’ve made one of them a Summoner exclusively.
Anyt thoughts?
I think it worked well and actually prefer each character having specific traits and skills that will never cross over between others.
But, Eiko shouldn’t be using Eidolons at all, and that would make her a White Mage. >O

I agree, but I think it’s amazing how many people still refrain from using Quina simply because they have no clue just how powerful her Blue Magic can be.

agreed.
And I remember finding Eiko’s Eidolons better than Garnet’s, if not simply because of animation time or the fact that I forget and rarely used them.
Still, the system seemed pretty good. Much better than the stupid GFs.
As for Eiko and Garnet having similar roles, it didn’t bother me. I used Garnet as my White Mage.Summoner on the basis I didn’t like Eiko. The only thing Garnet missed in the white magic department of importance was Holy. It was neglegable however as I never used Garnet for damage dealing anyway.
