I’ve only just started, but I think it’s going to turn out really good. Take a look, and tell me what you think so far! You just might like it! ๐
P.S. Have you checked the updates? I’ve rewritten much of the previous chapters, adding commentaries, many pages, as well as 3 new chapters. Please tell me what you think! Criticism and suggestions are readily appreciated! ๐
Other than that, I wish you luck successfully finishing it.
Otherwise, you’ve done a good job thus far.
Also, the Ifrit battle is done. Next is the SeeD exam. ๐
yes, but — being used to ms word’s autocorrect feature — things like that are easy to miss, even when revising.
He probably means he can’t afford one, though. If he can’t afford a desktop, how is he going to afford a notebook?
Come on, you rely on Word’s auto-correct to give the first word in a sentence a capital letter? Your grammar, spelling and general writing structure seems quite lazy for someone serious about finish an entire novelization.
It’s still too bare for my taste. How about putting up pictures of each character in their profile, or something like that?
He’s doing a novelization, not a bloody fan site. A character profiles section would be overkill and, frankly, would cheapen the look of the site anyway.
No, but it’s an easy thing to miss. Also, keep in mind this is in its early stages. If you’d prefer, I could wait a couple years and release the whole thing at once… However, it won’t get done, nearly as fast, that way. I’m basically running off of fan support and emails, here.
Is it just me or can you only read the synopsis?
The site should be working… o_0 Try it again.
True. I didn’t think that he was talking about price. Sounded like he has something against them.
No, they’re just not ideal for gaming and stuff. I just prefer desktops. Mind you, the novel’s not the only reason I’m buying a computer. ๐
Right, but you have to look at it from a reader’s point of view. It’s not such a good idea to post a first draft on the internet. Reason being that right away a reader will look at it, and see all the childish english errors. They will then most likely be turned off to read it and will think the writer is not serious about it.
Other than that, I wish you luck successfully finishing it.
(Points to response to Lukey’s post)
I’m not a professional writer, and am doing this for free. One thing this means is that I don’t have an editor to work with (aside from what I can do, which isn’t much because I’m too close to the work to look at it critically), so I’m relying on 3rd party opinions here. Help is greatly appreciated, and will be repayed with more chapters. ๐
I have up to chapter 2-2, so far. Also, the forums were just activated less than 2 hours ago! Join!!! >|

I’d still suggest a good desktop for games. If portability is really a necessity, get one of those gamer LAN boxes, and keep a monitor, a pair of speakers, keyboard and mouse at both locations. They’re small, but still allow for a good SLI/Crossfire and X-Fi config.
If you’re willing to sacrifice gaming for full mobility, get a PDA phone with a full Qwerty keyboard. That’s what I use when I’m away from my geek-hole.
But if you want a God laptop used for gaming, you would have to pretty much build it yourself.
Hmmm… DIY laptops didn’t really catch on at where I am, but that’s a good point. For me tho, I pretty much pumped my entire college graduation present money into a desktop computer specifically built for games, although most of the time it would be running an emulator instead.
*~Fantabulous!!!!!~*
FF8 and FF7 are the best! (maybe)
lol
complete it soon so we can read it whole
=)
FF8 has such an amazingly touching story, so it’s a great idea to allow people to hear it without having to play the video game, in case they aren’t into that/don’t have time/suck really bad at video games.
I hope you finish it soon!
